Office worker finds genius use for standing desk as people left in stitches

One office worker took to the social media site to show people his unique use for his electric standing desk, and it's certainly captured people's attention, racking up more than 1.6million likes There used to be a time where office desks were very standard, with 9-5 workers usually sat down for most of their day. However, the introduction of standing desks mean many workers can stretch their legs a little bit more. Standing desks also have been found to help improve their posture, reduce back and neck pain and burn a few more calories. However, one man found an even better way to use his electric standing desk that his company provided for him – and it's left people in stitches. The office worker, known as @king_bashel on TikTok, took to the social media site to show people his unique use for his desk, and it's certainly captured people's attention, racking up more than 1.6million likes. The viral video sees Beyonce fan Bashel miming the words to one of Beyonce's performances. As he does this, he sits on his electric standing desk which dramatically lifts him up while he's in the office. Overlay text at the start of the clip read: "POV: You finally found a reason to use your standing desk." People have been left in stitches over the clip, which has racked up more than 9,000 comments. One person exclaimed: "NOBODY has ever used a standing desk more appropriately than you just did." While another joked: "Standing desk sales bout to go crazy." A third joked: "My standing desk just told me to don't even try it." While another chimed in: "I can't wait to get back to work." Other people also feared for Bashel's job after the video, as one person wrote: "HR gonna have a hell of a time tryna keep a straight face while playing the video at the termination meeting." While another added: "The CEO watching this." However, his job can't have been that mad as Bashel has re-created the stunt several times now for different versions of the video. One of these sees his dressed as Elphaba from Wicked as he performs Defying Gravity, while another Beyonce-themed clip sees Bashel perform in a Cowboy get-up as he writes: "POV: You WERKING this standing desk."

Bradley Walsh takes swipe at Paul Sinha after he suffers huge The Chase loss

The Chase host was left stunned after a game on the ITV quiz show saw The Sinnerman lose out on a huge cash prize Bradley Walsh humorously suggested that Paul Sinha was ready to "hand in his notice" on The Chase after an extraordinary game. The Chaser was up against four new contestants - Ian, Jennie, Gregor and Karen - all keen to pit their wits against one of the UK's top quizzers on the popular ITV quiz show. First up to challenge one of Britain's best quizzers was Ian, a magician hailing from London, who put on a stellar performance in the Cash Builder round. ‌ Ian managed to secure £6,000 before going head-to-head with The Chaser, in this instance, Paul, also known as The Sinnerman. After a nail-biting face-off, Ian secured his place in the final chase, setting the shared prize pot rolling. ‌ Next to brave the quickfire question round was Jennie, who bagged £5,000. Hoping to emulate Ian's success, her stint on the quiz show unfortunately came to a halt when she was caught by The Chaser. She was met with Bradley's dreaded phrase: "You have been caught and for you, The Chase is over" leaving the show with nothing. The next contestant, Gregor, also fell short in his attempt to outsmart The Sinnerman, reports the Liverpool Echo. However, it was Karen who left viewers gobsmacked when she opted to take The Chaser's higher offer of a staggering £93,000. Paul quipped: "This is either brilliant news for Ian, or terrible news for Ian." Viewers swiftly took to social media after witnessing Karen's unexpected move. "Karen didn't even flinch taking that high offer," one fan exclaimed, while another cheered: "Good girl!" A third fan chimed in, "We just cheered for her." Despite the risk, Karen's broad knowledge shone as she effortlessly navigated her game against The Sinnerman, earning a spot in the final alongside Ian. As a result, the prize pot swelled to an impressive £100,000. ‌ Fans urged others on X to tune in, saying: "If you're not watching #TheChase switch over quick" to catch Karen and Ian competing for the substantial cash prize. In the final chase, the quizzers achieved an impressive 16 correct answers. In an unexpected turn of events, The Sinnerman narrowly failed to match their score with just one question remaining and a single second left on the clock. Host Bradley Walsh commented: "That was close." Reflecting on the team's victory, The Chaser conceded: "You absolutely deserve every penny of that." ‌ However, he confessed disappointment in losing a game worth such a significant amount, remarking: "I've cost ITV £100,000 but you don't need to care about any of that." Brad playfully teased The Sinnerman about his subpar performance, quipping: "That's a funny way to hand in your notice." The presenter described the game as "unbelievable" as Ian and Karen each took home £50,000. Discussing their plans for the winnings, Ian mentioned purchasing a new car, while Karen excitedly shared her intention to take her son to the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix.
