Heartthrob 80s rocker 'every girl was in love with' sparks concern at recent show
A recent gig by a legendary rocker, formerly the pin-up of countless admirers, has left supporters deeply worried about his wellbeing.
Despite boasting Grammy nominations and decades of stage experience, recent performances have set alarm bells ringing amongst devoted followers.
Mötley Crüe enthusiasts are scratching their heads over why frontman Vince Neil hasn't "dropped the key a few semitones" to guarantee a more agreeable and enjoyable experience for audiences.
A Reddit thread on r/CrappyMusic highlighted just how challenging it was to endure Mötley Crüe's return to the spotlight, following their alleged farewell in 2015 and subsequent comeback to live performances in 2018.
Concert-goers are left wondering whether Neil's vocal difficulties stem from illness or whether they're simply witnessing the heartbreaking deterioration of a rock legend, reports the Mirror US.
One supporter questioned: "I don't know why he doesn't do what Ozzy did at his last show and drop the original key a few semitones to a comfortable range so he can actually do what the fans paid him to do."
Another chimed in: "I've seen people at concerts with that same 'I really don't want to be here' look. But they were working concessions."
A third speculated: "Just Vince Neil 'singing' while casually looking down at the lyrics taped to the stage. Nothing to see here... and definitely nothing you'd want to hear."
A fellow band devotee concurred, stating: "I noticed that too. I'm flabbergasted. How can he possibly be looking at lyric sheets?
"He's been singing these songs for 40 years now! If he needs to be reading the lyrics, then he's in worse shape than we know about."
Another devotee was left utterly crushed by the show, reminiscing about a period when the group was "killing it" merely a decade ago. They expressed: "Stop already, this is making me sad."
A fellow supporter echoed the sentiment, joining the wave of disillusionment: "This is really sad."
Some pondered how the years have taken their toll on the group. One penned: "I remember when every girl I knew was in love with this guy."
Someone else contributed: "Zero energy or interest. The fact that people pay and support this is extraordinarily sad."
A third revealed: "The rest of the band still sounds so good. Such a shame to see him a such a low level."
Additional audience members questioned whether this indicated Neil has simply lost his passion for performing. One supporter proposed: "He looks like a high-school kid who was forced to sing lead in a concert. Uncomfortable and doesn't want to be there."
Someone else penned: "The vocals are bad, energy low and he's reading the lyrics for possibly his most famous song with maybe the least amount of lyrics. Milk 'em all, Vince!".
Admirers remain optimistic that this represents nothing more than a brief stumble and that Vince Neil will shortly reclaim his rockstar status. Regardless of any disappointments, there's no denying he continues to be an absolute rock legend.

'Fantastic' BBC period drama epic about real life rivalry ‘nobody has done before' lands this month
The BBC's upcoming big budget period drama epic King & Conqueror stars James Norton and has been branded a 'must watch' for fans of The Last Kingdom and The Winter King. New teaser pictures have been released of the much anticipated new period drama from the BBC. King & Conqueror is coming to screens this August bank holiday, and tells the story of how William the Conqueror ascended the English throne after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Set in 11th-century Britain, the show stars James Norton, Eddie Marsan and Juliet Stevenson, exploring how the future King of England Harold Godwinson and William, Duke of Normandy, came to be such bitter rivals. The ambitious production will take viewers back to the period running up to the Battle of Hastings, which saw King Harold II brutally killed by William the Conqueror's invading forces. Norton and Game of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Walda play the famous feuding leaders in the eight-part series, brought by The Frankenstein Chronicles writer Michael Robert Johnson and Everest director Baltasar Kormákur. The BBC synopsis reads: "King & Conqueror is the story of a clash that defined the future of a country – and a continent – for a thousand years, the roots of which stretch back decades and extend out through a pair of interconnected family dynasties, struggling for power across two countries and a raging sea. "Harold of Wessex and William of Normandy were two men destined to meet at the Battle of Hastings in 1066; two allies with no design on the English throne, who found themselves forced by circumstance and personal obsession into a war for possession of its crown." The new pictures show James Norton as Harold, Earl of Wessex, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William, Duke of Normandy, Emily Beecham as Edith Swan-neck, Clémence Poésy as Matilda, Eddie Marsan as King Edward, Juliet Stevenson as Lady Emma, Clare Holman as Gytha, Luther Ford as Tostig, Bo Bragason as Queen Gunhild and Indy Lewis as Margaret. Fans of the likes of The Last Kingdom and The Winter King are urged to check the show out when it airs, and many have been taking to social media to express their excitement ahead of the historical epic hitting screens. One took to Reddit to say: "I think this looks fantastic. Absolutely stellar cast, and such an interesting time in history that hasn't gotten enough on-screen depiction." Another said: "Looking so forward to this. Took trips to look at the bayeux tapestry and go to the (apparent) site of the Battle of Hastings. About time there's a movie about it." A third excited viewer said: "It has to be good. The Norman Conquest definitely needs more adaptions. I am absolutely anticipating this series." And a fourth said: "This looks epic, gritty and a pure medieval journey. I can't wait to see this, been waiting for a such long time." The series also stars Elander Moore as Morcar, Geoff Bell as Godwin, Jean-Marc Barr as King Henry, Elliott Cowan as Sweyn, Bjarne Henriksen as Earl Siward, Oliver Masucci as Baldwin, Jason Forbes as Thane Thomas, Ingvar Sigurdsson as Fitzosbern, Ines Asserson as Judith, Sveinn Ólafur Gunnarsson as Hardrada and Léo Legrand as Odo. King & Conqueror is produced by The Development Partnership, Rabbit Track Pictures, Shepherd Content, RVK Studios and CBS Studios, in association with the BBC.

Akon attempts to ride a security guard like a horse as he climbs on his shoulders and slaps his head during performance in Russia
Akon was seen attempting to ride a security guard like a horse in footage shared to social media on Wednesday. The singer, 52, climbed on to the guard's shoulders and slapped his head during a performance this week in Russia. Akon, who has just played two concerts in the country, was singing 2009 hit Sexy Chick when he jumped off the stage and was caught by the security guard. He then proceeds to slap the palm of his hand on the man's forehead while being carried across the front of the crowd. Reddit users branded his actions 'dehumanising and disrespectful' after the clip was shared on the platform. They commented: What kind of person must you have to be to treat another person that way, seriously. And imagine thinking that you're better than other people because you sing for a living.' Another added: 'That's very dehumanizing and disrespectful, just because someone works for you doesn't mean you can mistreat them. 'If I was the security guard I would have dropped his entitled a**!' It comes following the news that Akon's grand plans to build a £4.3 billion futuristic city in Senegal have officially been scrapped five years after the singer promised to turn a remote stretch of West African coastline into a real-life Wakanda. The Senegalese government confirmed in July that instead of the ambitious plan, it was now making way for something more 'realistic'. Serigne Mamadou, in charge of Senegal's tourism development body, Sapco told the BBC: 'The Akon City project no longer exists.' 'Fortunately, an agreement has been reached between Sapco and the entrepreneur Alioune Badara Thiam [aka Akon]. What he's preparing with us is a realistic project, which Sapco will fully support.' Back in 2018, Akon unveiled plans to build his own futuristic city in Senegal, trading in a crypto-currency named 'AKoin' after himself. The proposal for Akon Crypto City said it would be a 'real-life Wakanda' - referring to a technologically advanced country in Marvel's Black Panther film. AKoin's website said the city, near the capital Dakar, will include universities, schools, a sports stadium and an international airport on 2,000 acres of land. The Smack That singer told the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity that the currency could be the 'saviour of Africa in many ways', Sky News reported. The website described Akon Crypto City as 'the first 100 per cent crypto-based city with AKoin at the center of transactional life'. It claimed that 2,000 acres of land had already been granted to the project by the President of Senegal, Macky Sall. It added: '[The city is] within 5 minutes of the new international airport, close to the coast and a short drive from Dakar, the capital city of Senegal (Akon's ancestral homeland). 'This mixed use, master-planned city, contains everything from residential to retail, parks, stadium, light manufacturing, universities, and schools. 'Akon Crypto City has opportunities for brands, businesses and high-profile individuals to create amazing, inclusive experiences in a futuristic environment and welcomes anyone looking to step into the future.' He previously started the Lighting Africa project in an effort to provide solar energy to the continent. Akon became an international success in 2004 following the release of his debut album and several top 10 hits included Locked Up. In recent times, he has been less involved in the music industry after a series of singles that failed to replicate his earlier commercial success.

Taylor Swift new album Easter eggs from specific letter and key colour to door
Taylor Swift announced her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, on October 12, but it turns out the news was hiding right under our noses this entire time The unstoppable pop sensation Taylor Swift confirmed the release of yet another album, The Life Of A Showgirl, on October 12, leaving devotees in complete meltdown – but it appears the announcement was concealed right beneath our very eyes this whole time. If being a Swiftie signifies anything, it requires perpetually deciphering mysterious clues because this artist certainly doesn't approach matters lightly. With every launch, whether that involves a music video, an album, or a tour, Taylor Swift delights in concealing enigmatic hints, suggesting possible song titles, themes, collaborations and beyond. As it happens, the clues were lurking right beneath our very noses. Outlining her motivations for steering her extraordinary career in this manner, Swift previously revealed to the Washington Post: "When I was 15 and putting together my first album... I decided to encode the lyrics with hidden messages using capital letters. That's how it started, and my fans and I have since descended into colour coding, numerology, word searches, elaborate hints, and Easter eggs.", reports t he Mirror US. "It's really about turning new music into an event for my fans and trying to entertain them in playful, mischievous, clever ways. As long as they still find it fun and exciting, I'll keep doing it." The colour orange The colour orange With her latest release, Taylor Swift has introduced a fresh colour to her musical universe. Each of her albums has been associated with a specific colour, which helped distinguish them during her Eras Tour performances. However, the one colour we haven't seen yet is orange – the central hue of The Life Of A Showgirl. Swifties may have overlooked that orange was subtly hinted at throughout various elements. During the start of the Eras Tour, there were only a few instances where Taylor donned the colour orange, including a surprise acoustic performance with Sabrina Carpenter. This has led fans to speculate about a potential collaboration with the pop singer on the new album. One of the visuals displayed on the big screen during the Eras Tour, known as the Lover House, showcased a house with different rooms – each room illuminated with the distinct colours of each era. Towards the tour's conclusion, an orange door began to emerge, symbolising an unseen colour and a possible new album. On the final night of her 149-night tour, she seemed to step through that very orange door – now understood as a metaphor for her transition into a new era, The Life of A Showgirl. Very specific number The number 12 also plays a significant role in The Life Of A Showgirl. As her 12th studio album, it was announced on August 12, and there were numerous subtle hints pointing towards this. After all, if there's one thing we know about Miss Swift, nothing is ever left to chance. It was precisely 12 weeks ago that the pop sensation revealed she had finally acquired the masters to her entire catalogue. In her announcement, she kicked off by writing "hiiiiiiiiiiii" with exactly 12 'i's - because why wouldn't she? Fuelling the speculation further, she shared a clip on social media last October at Hard Rock Stadium, positioned in front of an 'A12' sign. Eagle-eyed supporters were swift to clock this detail, well aware of Taylor's penchant for numerical games, interpreting it as a clue that 'album 12' was approaching. Showgirl themes Taylor appears to have been flirting with 'showgirl' concepts for quite some time, evident even during her 2022 Midnights era. In the 'Bejewelled' music video, she performed alongside burlesque legend Dita Von Teese whilst donning a feathered ensemble beneath a glittering amber spotlight. Might this have been an early teaser? Then there's her most theatrical showgirl moment during the Eras Tour's rendition of 'I Can Do It With A Broken Heart' from her latest offering, The Tortured Poets Department. The routine features her portraying an exhausted entertainment industry figure before her backing dancers, clad in formal suits and top hats, transform her into the sparkling pop icon we recognise her to be. As anticipation mounts for her 12th studio album, and fans delve into its concealed intricacies, the excitement is palpable as they decipher the clues left by Taylor Swift. Who knows what's next? If it's anything like her past releases, there's bound to be more surprises in store.
