Taylor Swift Makes Unprecedented History on Tuesday
Taylor Swift opted to skip Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes' recent charity event in Las Vegas, despite the fact that her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was in attendance.
Swift, however, donated an autographed guitar for the event, which reportedly fetched a hefty price of $15,000 for one lucky (and very generous) fan.
Despite her recent absence alongside her man, reports have indicated that the "Fortnight" singer has been spending most of her time with Kelce over the past several months. While they have not been spotted in public regularly, Swift and Kelce are reportedly spending as much time as they can together while they still can.
Her ever-loyal fans, though, have continued to show her their unwavering support amid her recent hiatus. A testament to this fact is how Swift achieved another milestone on Spotify.
This is after her 2020 album "Folklore" hit 10 billion streams on Spotify (as of the early hours of Tuesday Eastern Time), making it her third album to reach this incredible milestone. "Folklore" joins "Lover" (12.6 billion) and "Midnights" (10.8 billion) as Swift's three albums that have surpassed the 10 billion mark.
Swift is the only female artist to have ever achieved this unprecedented feat.
While other female artists have had 10 billion-stream albums, it's only Swift who has three of them. The only female singers who have two albums that have hit 10 billion streams are Dua Lipa ("Future Nostalgia" and "Dua Lipa") and Billie Eilish ("WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?" and "don't smile at me"), while Olivia Rodrigo ("Sour") and SZA ("SOS") each have one album.
This latest feat further justifies the fact that Swift is, indeed, one of the most successful artists in the history of the music industry.

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez's BFF Outfit Formula Needs to Be Studied

Glamour Illustration: Getty/Aeon/TheStewartofNY You've probably heard by now that Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez met up in New York City on Saturday night. Both women left their partners at home—or, in Swift's case, Travis Kelce was at a Big Slick charity event in Kansas City—to catch up at The Monkey Bar in NYC, where the gossip seemed to be particularly juicy based on a blurry photo that made it's way onto DeuxMoi's Instagram page. Not much else could be gleaned from the snap at the time, though more photos have since emerged of the pop stars leaving the bar later in the evening—and we need to talk about their BFF dress code. In photos shared by People, Swift dropped her recent floral fixation for a matching black silk and wool Gucci set, featuring a tank top and skirt with silver sequins borders. The top itself retails for $3,500 while the skirt is being sold for $2,500, making this one of Swift's less attainable outfits. She paired the all-black set with a pair of towering silver platform heels and a black Gucci bamboo handle bag (which seems to be available on TheRealReal for $1,845 at the moment, but retails for $4,700). Everything else was classic Taylor. She finished off the look with her natural waves pulled back in an easy updo, her signature red lip, and winged eyeliner. She also seemed to switch out her lavender manicure for silver, based on more photos shared by DeuxMoi. $248.00, Reformation $245.00, Nordstrom In contrast, Selena Gomez opted for warm earth tones, pairing a form-fitting brown halter top with a khaki-colored trouser and blazer, finishing off her look with a pointed metallic brown pump and her hair slicked back in a bun. Of course, the Rare Beauty mogul's makeup game was strong with a bold lip and sultry eye look. You can see the photos of the pair here and here. $50.00, Mango $50.00, Zara I couldn't help but think of the last couple of times we saw these two out on the town in New York City in 2023. On both occasions, the pair opted for sophisticated, but opposing neutrals allowing them both to stand out while giving off a sense of cohesion. They even followed this formula in more casual attire during a girl's night at Sushi Park in Los Angeles earlier that year. For that occasion, both women wore jeans, though Swift opted for a white crochet top while Gomez paired her denim with a black knit. You know the TikTok trend about friends who don't dress like they're going to the same place? That's not Selena and Taylor. This latest outing comes on the heels of Swift's announcement that she finally owns all her own music after her masters were purchased without her consent in 2019, sparking her famous endeavor to re-record her first six albums. On May 30, Gomez congratulated Swift on Instagram, writing, 'Yes you did that Tay. So proud!' A day later, they were able to celebrate in person—and looked great doing it. Taylor Swift's Musical Triumph Turns Into BFF Dinner Night With Selena Gomez
just scored one of the biggest wins of her career, and she's celebrating it with her longtime bestie by her side. The 'Fortnight' singer was spotted enjoying a celebratory dinner with this week, just hours after news broke that Taylor had officially regained ownership of her original masters. Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez were all smiles in a candid photo taken during their night out, with fans quick to note the joy radiating from both stars. For Swift, it's a victory that's been six years in the making. In 2019, music executive Scooter Braun acquired her original master recordings in a $300 million deal with Big Machine Label Group, a move that was made without her knowledge or consent. The shocking purchase sparked a firestorm in the music industry and led Taylor to begin re-recording her first six albums in a bold move to reclaim her work. A year later, Braun sold the masters to private equity firm Shamrock Capital. But now, in a full-circle twist, that same company has reportedly sold the music library back to its rightful owner, Taylor herself. And to celebrate, it seems she and her longtime bestie, Selena Gomez, went out for some much-needed girl time. In a photo, which was also obtained by Pop Base on X, the two are seated at a dimly lit, elegant restaurant table, complete with classic table lamps and water glasses. Selena, dressed in a neutral-toned outfit with her hair pulled back, appears calm and engaged as she rests her chin on her hand and looks at Taylor. Meanwhile, Taylor, wearing a glamorous black dress with sparkling trim, is caught mid-reaction, mouth open in what seems to be surprise or excitement. Following the bombshell announcement, Selena took to Instagram to share her love and admiration for her best friend, writing, 'SO proud!' in a supportive Instagram Stories post that quickly went viral among fans of both women. Their reunion over dinner wasn't just a celebration. It was a full-circle moment for two of Hollywood's most loyal ride-or-dies. The pair, who have been friends for over a decade, have weathered countless milestones together. But this one might be among the most personal for Taylor. The duo first met in August 2008, introduced by none other than the Jonas Brothers. Taylor was dating , and Selena was dating . 'It was hysterical,' Gomez later recalled in a 2017 interview with KISS FM UK, per PEOPLE. 'We actually dated the Jonas Brothers together! … It was the best thing we got out of those relationships.' From that moment, their friendship bloomed. Just a month after their first public hangout, Swift was front and center supporting Gomez at the premiere of "Another Cinderella Story," and their red carpet era officially began. By the time Gomez sat down with Seventeen magazine, she was already turning to Taylor for love advice. 'Every single problem I ever have is healable by Taylor Swift!' she gushed. 'She gives the most thought-out answers … because of her, I haven't lost faith [in love]. We literally talk every day.' Their bond wasn't just built on late-night phone calls and advice sessions. It translated to the stage as well. On November 22, 2011, Gomez shocked fans at Madison Square Garden when she popped up during Taylor's "Speak Now" tour to sing her hit 'Who Says.' It was one of their earliest moments performing together, and it wouldn't be the last. In August 2015, the pair proved their sisterhood was still going strong when Gomez joined Taylor on her "1989" tour stop in Los Angeles. The two strutted down the runway in coordinated black and white looks, belting out 'Good For You' like total pros. 'After nearly 8 years of friendship,' Gomez wrote on Instagram, 'I just can't wait to tell our kids we ACTUALLY got to perform in front of thousands of insanely beautiful people together. TWICE!' In Gomez's WSJ Magazine cover story, the longtime besties opened up about their nearly two-decade bond, offering a rare glimpse into the love, loyalty, and mutual respect that has kept them close through it all. 'There has always been this quality of sisterhood, and I don't say that in a basic way,' Swift shared. 'I knew from when I met her I would always have her back.' The Grammy-winning artist added that while she's learned to forgive people who've wronged her over the years, 'I don't know if I can forgive someone who hurts her.' Gomez echoed the sentiment, noting that their friendship has only grown stronger through the hard times. 'She has showed up for me in ways that I would have never expected,' she said, recalling times Swift flew in to support her during difficult family moments and personal struggles. 'It's been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world.' From romantic ups and downs to sold-out arenas and award show cameos, the duo has never let distance, fame, or time weaken their connection. And with their recent dinner outing following Taylor's major career win, it's clear that after more than 15 years, these two are still each other's biggest cheerleaders.

Chiefs' Travis Kelce Receives Taylor Swift Themed Motivation for 2025
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Travis Kelce is coming back for at least one more year with the Kansas City Chiefs during the upcoming 2025 NFL season. After a painful loss in the Super Bowl last year to the Philadelphia Eagles, Kelce simply could not walk away. He has shared that the loss in the big game was one of his main reasons for returning. However, he is also looking to bounce back from a down season. During the 2024 campaign, Kelce caught 97 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns. His 823 yards were the lowest of his entire 11-year career. Read more: Chiefs' Travis Kelce Disrespected in 2025 Tight End Rankings In a segment on ESPN, "SportsCenter" anchor Hannah Storm provided some Swift themed motivation for Kelce entering what could end up being his final year in the NFL. "Can I just say, he's gotta keep up with his girlfriend, who can do a three-and-a-half-hour concert without skipping a beat. And she does it back-to-back nights," Storm said. Recently, Patrick Mahomes also spoke out about Kelce's future. He doesn't think the star tight end is necessarily done playing after the 2025 season. "If it's the last ride, you would never know," Mahomes said. "The way he's talking about football, the way he's talking about working and trying to be even better this year than he was last year. He doesn't seem like a guy that, it's his last ride or he's tired of the job. He's in here, he's working. I know his body feels good. I think it feels better than even last year before going into last season." Mahomes ended his discussion about Kelce with a warning to the rest of the NFL. "I think he's motivated to go out there and have an even better year."
