You've probably heard by now that Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez met up in New York City on Saturday night.
Both women left their partners at home—or, in Swift's case, Travis Kelce was at a Big Slick charity event in Kansas City—to catch up at The Monkey Bar in NYC, where the gossip seemed to be particularly juicy based on a blurry photo that made it's way onto DeuxMoi's Instagram page. Not much else could be gleaned from the snap at the time, though more photos have since emerged of the pop stars leaving the bar later in the evening—and we need to talk about their BFF dress code.
In photos shared by People, Swift dropped her recent floral fixation for a matching black silk and wool Gucci set, featuring a tank top and skirt with silver sequins borders. The top itself retails for $3,500 while the skirt is being sold for $2,500, making this one of Swift's less attainable outfits. She paired the all-black set with a pair of towering silver platform heels and a black Gucci bamboo handle bag (which seems to be available on TheRealReal for $1,845 at the moment, but retails for $4,700).
Everything else was classic Taylor. She finished off the look with her natural waves pulled back in an easy updo, her signature red lip, and winged eyeliner. She also seemed to switch out her lavender manicure for silver, based on more photos shared by DeuxMoi.

In contrast, Selena Gomez opted for warm earth tones, pairing a form-fitting brown halter top with a khaki-colored trouser and blazer, finishing off her look with a pointed metallic brown pump and her hair slicked back in a bun. Of course, the Rare Beauty mogul's makeup game was strong with a bold lip and sultry eye look. You can see the photos of the pair here and here.

I couldn't help but think of the last couple of times we saw these two out on the town in New York City in 2023. On both occasions, the pair opted for sophisticated, but opposing neutrals allowing them both to stand out while giving off a sense of cohesion.
They even followed this formula in more casual attire during a girl's night at Sushi Park in Los Angeles earlier that year. For that occasion, both women wore jeans, though Swift opted for a white crochet top while Gomez paired her denim with a black knit. You know the TikTok trend about friends who don't dress like they're going to the same place? That's not Selena and Taylor.
This latest outing comes on the heels of Swift's announcement that she finally owns all her own music after her masters were purchased without her consent in 2019, sparking her famous endeavor to re-record her first six albums. On May 30, Gomez congratulated Swift on Instagram, writing, 'Yes you did that Tay. So proud!'
A day later, they were able to celebrate in person—and looked great doing it.

Gen Z Woman Asks Internet How Old She Looks—Then Comes Shocking Response

A Gen Z woman's TikTok video has sparked a viral conversation about beauty standards and aging after she asked one simple question: How old do I look? Bella Falcone (@bellaaafalcone), a 27-year-old Pilates instructor from Arizona, took part in a popular trend on the platform where users invite strangers to guess their age based on appearance. But when the guesses came in, many placed her in her 30s or even 40s, leaving Falcone stunned. Her video garnered 3 million views and 92,400 likes on TikTok. "I honestly made the video because I saw a trend of people doing it. I honestly never could've predicted the negativity that came with it," Falcone told Newsweek. "At first, I was shocked. I think like a lot of people say they didn't expect to go viral with a certain [video] and I definitely felt that way. I definitely was hurt by some of the responses that just went straight to tearing apart my appearance since I never asked for the opinions. I just simply wanted to know what people thought of my age and I guess that gave people the feeling that they could pick apart my looks." The comments section quickly filled up with a wide range of responses, some constructive and others far from kind. "Forty-two. It's the lips," said one user, while Erica Moyer wrote: "34-36." "You look 28-31, anyone saying differently is a bitter troll," chimed another. "Twenty-seven because you don't have other signs of aging. Your lip filler does make you look a bit older but not as old as people are saying in the comments," added another commenter. While many comments focused on perceived age indicators, Falcone said she appreciated the unexpected solidarity from other women. "I was surprised by some of the other women sticking up for me in the comments. I didn't think that would happen but it definitely made me feel good that I had strangers sticking up for me," she said. Falcone reflected that age remains a particularly charged issue for women. She said that women are often criticized whether they show signs of aging naturally or take steps like Botox or fillers to preserve a youthful appearance. According to her, society tends to scrutinize women's choices no matter what they do, and this double standard can be disheartening. "I think people love to pick apart women specifically because if a man did this he wouldn't have received as much negativity as I did," she added. Arizona Man Moves to New York, Not Prepared for What's in Neighbor's Yard

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A man who made the move from Arizona to New York couldn't believe who turned out to be his next-door neighbor. Moving across the country can be stressful, especially when bringing pets along with you. Pets might feel overwhelmed and scared in their new environment. They have to adjust to their new surroundings. But when Kris, who is known on TikTok as @thatonedudekane, arrived in New York with his dog, all his worries faded away. He discovered his neighbor has the same exact dog as he does. Kris told Newsweek via TikTok that he couldn't believe how similar his neighbor's dog looked to his. "You don't really see those type of dogs that often," he said. "They are mixed with German [shepherd] and Rottweiler, so they are unique. It was crazy. My dog was an accident baby." In his April 19 TikTok video, he walked over to the neighbor's fence to say hello to the other dog and show his followers the similarities between the two canines. His dog was already at the fence, greeting his new friend. The two dogs sniffed each other through the fence with their tails wagging. It's as if they were long-lost siblings. His dog then looked up at him with an expression that screamed: "Can you believe this?" He wants to set up playdates for the dogs, but unfortunately, he said his neighbor will not let the dogs play. He's unsure of the reason why his new neighbor won't let the dogs play, but he's hopeful they'll have a change of heart. Until then, he explained in the caption that they are "friends for life but through the fence." Viewer Reactions The TikTok video amassed over 159,100 views, 25,000 likes and 278 comments as of Monday. Immediately noticing the similarities, many demanded "doggy DNA tests rn," but Kris confirmed they are not from the same litter. "The nose touch?? Oh, they're besties fr," commented a viewer. Another added: "He said: 'Twin where have you been??'" A third person wrote: "Universal way of letting you know you moved to the right spot."
