TOWIE's James Argent banned from seeing girlfriend after holiday attack

Reality star James 'Arg' Argent is banned from seeing his Swedish girlfriend, Nicoline Artursson, after reportedly attacking her while on holiday in Spain. The Only Way Is Essex TV personality was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence by the Spanish Civil Guard in Costa del Sol and taken into custody on Sunday, May 5.
It has been said Argent, who is reportedly 'remorseful about what happened but is insisting he never meant any harm", received a suspended jail sentence and must carry out a 'resocialisation course in the field of gender violence.' He was also reportedly given a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting Ms Artursson.
The Guardia Civil confirmed his arrest with the Mirror, stating: "We can confirm Mr Argent was arrested by 'Policia Local' of Mijas for an alleged crime of domestic violence on 5th May.'
Speaking about the shocking incident, one onlooker told the Mirror: "We were frightened by his shouts. We couldn't believe what we were seeing,' they added before stating that Nicoline 'appeared to be physically and emotionally devastated.'
The Mirror understands Nicoline's mother arrived at the scene to aid her daughter and police transported them both to a hospital.
Onlookers alleged they 'heard an aggressive man yelling' and 'throwing objects from the terrace of a nearby house'. Argent admitted 'mistreating' Nicoline in the Court of Violence Against Women in Fuengirola, as reported by The Sun.
Argent and Artursson met last summer after meeting by chance in Marbella and went public the following Septembe r.
He previously explained to OK!: 'I was walking to my gig at Elliott Wright's restaurant in Marbella. All of a sudden I see this woman coming towards me. I was like, 'Wow, she's beautiful.' She was just in her gym clothes, wearing no make-up. She'd actually just fed a stray cat.'
Speaking about her, he added: 'To have her beside me is like a dream. She's absolutely beautiful. She's a combination of Julia Roberts and Claudia Schiffer. What I love about Nicoline is, even though she's very humble, she's very classy.'
The TV personality rose to fame as one of the original cast members on TOWIE, appearing on the show from 2010 to 2018. Throughout his career, he took part in a number of shows including The Jump, Celebrity Super Spa, Sugar Free Farm and Celebs Go Dating.
TOWIE suspended Argent from filming in October 2014 when he failed a drug test. He later attended rehab before returning to the series. The reality TV star has regularly been an inpatient at centres due to his issues with drug addiction.

It must be hard enough growing apples and strawberries in Sweden, let alone limes, but we'll skim over that. It tastes exactly like a 'red' flavour freeze pop. It's too overwhelmingly sugary to pair with a lot of foods or other drinks. But pouring it over ice would dampen the sweetness and make it a decent lunchtime aperitif. It's very pink and very sweet and it's among the stronger offerings in today's field at four per cent alcohol by volume. If it's value you're after, you could easily add a shot of strawberry syrup to your favourite cider, but if it's strawberry flavour convenience that you want, then look no further. I can see it going down really well at a barbecue as it's full of fizz, with enough zest and fruitiness to square up to the traditional burned sausage. As with most of these cheap and cheerful drinks, I think older teens would love it, but whatever your age, it would work best served as cold as possible on a swelteringly hot sunny day. There's a line in The Great Gatsby that inevitably pops into my mind at this time of year as the sun lingers in the sky. "Do you ever wait for the longest day of the year and then miss it?" Daisy's line, of course, symbolizes much more than sunny evenings, but it serves as my annual reminder to savor the summer solstice—my favorite day of the year. For me, the solstice is a holiday on par with New Year's Eve. I see it as a reset, a chance to prepare for the second half of the year, and a reminder not to squander nature's fleeting joys. I invite you to join me this year in these June 20 rituals, so let me tell you about a bunch of great ways to celebrate around the city. Swedish Midsummer Festival I'm so solstice obsessed that I traveled to Sweden a few years ago to attend their renowned summer solstice celebrations. During a solstice party at the open-air museum Skansen, I made a flower crown, danced around a maypole and tried to sing along with Swedish folk songs. But this year, you can do all of that without taking a long flight to Stockholm. A free Swedish Midsummer Festival popping up in Rockefeller Park features all the midsummer necessities. The event is hosted by the Consulate General of Sweden, New York—so you know it's going to be as authentic as possible. Events run from 5pm–9pm on Friday, June 20. Solstice in Times Square: Mind Over Madness Yoga On the summer solstice in 2003, three people did yoga at sunrise in Times Square. After that, two of them co-founded a solstice yoga in Times Square event that now draws thousands of yogis. Officially called Solstice in Times Square: Mind Over Madness Yoga, this all-day yoga festival turns the hectic streets of Times Square into an oasis of calm. This year, the event runs from 7:30am to 8:30pm on Friday, June 20 at the intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue between 43rd and 48th Streets. Coney Island Fireworks Though it's not an official summer solstice event, the weekly Coney Island fireworks series kicks off on Friday, June 20—and that would make for a magical way to celebrate the solstice. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:45pm and typically launch from the beach at West 12th Street, providing a breathtaking backdrop to the iconic boardwalk and amusement parks. I'd recommend getting to the beach early (Summer Fridays, anyone?) to enjoy the sun and surf. When you get hungry, grab some dinner at one of the Coney Island's best restaurants. Ahead of Oasis taking to the stage in Cardiff next month, Liam Gallagher has taken to social media and revealed that he has just one regret about the legendary band Liam Gallagher has revealed his one major regret about Oasis just weeks before the band hit the road. The legendary Manchester-based band will be on s tage together for the first time in 16 years next month for their mammoth Oasis Live '25 tour. But years before their split, an internal war is believed to have broken out between the warring siblings. Liam is said to have questioned the paternity of Noel's eldest daughter, Anaïs, 25, in May 2000. But after almost two decades of arguing, the brothers left fans in a state of disbelief last year when they announced their sensational return, almost 15 years to the day of their split. In just a matter of weeks, they will take to the stage at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on July 4 for their first show. However, Liam has now opened up about his one major regret about the band in an honest admission with a fan. "How does it feel singing songs with ur brother again? Like old times?" asked one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter. Liam responded: "You know what it's spiritual but I can't help think about all those wasted years, what a waste of PRECIOUS time." Oasis came to an end in 2009 following a disagreement between Liam and Noel backstage at the Rock en Seine Festival in Paris. A witness who saw them row said: "Liam was goading Noel constantly and then the two snapped." Liam also smashed up one of Noel's guitars during the heated clash. The pair are due to perform over 20 dates starting on July 4, before completing the UK leg on September 28 at Wembley Stadium. But could fans see the once-warring brothers again after their upcoming tour? Replying to a fan last week, Liam said: "Let's see how this tour goes and if we still love each other after it." When asked by the Mirror how rehearsals are going, Liam told us: "Dangerous." Meanwhile, videos have circulated on social media, with audio clips of the band apparently rehearsing the anthems Cigarettes & Alcohol and Fade Away. He told fans that it was his idea to have both songs on the setlist for the most anticipated tour. Last week, the two brothers were seen heading to rehearsals for the first time. While the pair arrived separately, they had two very different methods of transport to the top-secret location. Liam was seen arriving in a chauffeur-driven van, surrounded by packets of Lockets and cough syrup to help his throat, while his older brother, Noel, took public transport and was seen on the District Line at Paddington station.
