The Denver Broncos used the 101st overall pick to select LSU pass rusher Sai'vion Jones in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft on Friday night.
Jones had a productive four years as a member of the Tigers, recording 99 total tackles (38 solo, 61 assisted), 11.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and five pass breakups.
Jones is another piece that could factor into an already dominant Denver defense heading into year three under defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. Although Jones was graded lower than he was picked (he was graded 139th out of 250 players on Draft Wire's Jeff Ridson's big board), the Broncos saw something they wanted bad enough to give up three picks to get the pass rusher from Vacherie, Louisiana.

Patrick Forbes, RHP, Louisville: The competitiveness is something that everyone sees in the program, but he has a nice side. He's a really good guy. Jacob Hustedde, RHP, Murray State: He's a really lovable guy. On the outside, he has a hard shell, but he's really a nice guy on the inside. Aiden Jimenez, RHP, Arkansas: He's funny. Luke Jones, RHP, Coastal Carolina: He gets emotional. He shows himself as a hard guy, but he loves us and he gets emotional from time to time. Livvy Dunne Turns Heads at LSU's College World Series Game in Omaha
Livvy Dunne was the talk of the town on Saturday when LSU took on Alabama at the Men's College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. The 22-year-old former gymnast showed up and showed out wearing a Paul Skenes jersey that was half LSU (on the front) and half Pittsburgh Pirates (on the back). The jersey, of course, pays homage to her beau, Skenes. Advertisement Dunne drew a ton of attention upon arrival at Charles Schwab Field, from when she walked the bowels of the stadium to when she finally reached her seat. Once there, fans snapped photos and some even flocked to her. At one point, in images shared on social media, Dunne could also be seen FaceTiming the MLB star. In an interview, Dunne said she had to come back to Omaha to support her Tigers, who won the national championship there in 2023. The reporter also asked her where she copped the custom jersey, and Dunne said someone sent it to her! She said she couldn't recall who at the moment, but chances are requests for the unique jersey will soon fly through the roof. Dunne had a lot to cheer about on Saturday, as the Tigers went on to beat the Razorbacks, 4-1. Advertisement Kade Anderson, a projected top-five overall pick in the ML Draft next month, limited Arkansas to just three hits and one run in seven-plus innings pitch. He struck out seven batters. Liberty likely squander chance to advance in Commissioner's Cup with Fever now holding tiebreaker

The loss has implications for the Commissioner's Cup standings, too. Entering Saturday, the Liberty were in position to host the Seattle Storm in the championship game July 1. But those chances were greatly diminished by the loss. The Liberty are 9-1 this season and 3-1 in the Commissioner's Cup games. 'It is what it is. It's something we can't change,' Liberty coach Sandy Brondello said. 'We would've loved to be there. And obviously we're going to have to have some massive help on our side. But in the end, it's about being the best team at the end of the season and that's where we got to make sure that we continue to focus on.' Jonquel Jones didn't make the trip to Indiana as she continues to work her way back from a sprained right ankle. Getty Images She finished with three points, three rebounds and three assists. The Liberty were probably bound to slip up eventually, considering no team has ever gone undefeated in a WNBA season. The Fever were much more disruptive and met the Liberty with physicality. The Liberty, though, had several defensive breakdowns, which led to open looks and easy buckets. New York paid the price by sometimes leaving the corners open. Lexie Hull knocked down three 3-pointers, and Sydney Colson added two. '[The Fever] executed well, and we had so many breakdowns on defense and they made shots,' Brondello said. 'They really punished us on that end, making 17 3s on 35 [attempts], it was just too wide open. So little lack of communication. … A lot of things that we can learn and … we're nowhere near where we need to be.'
