He said BRS had to remind Revanth Reddy that Telangana has a rightful share even in surplus waters of Godavari and Krishna. "Back then, you were ready to settle for 1,000 tmcft in Godavari and 500 in Krishna. We had to make you realise Telangana deserves more," he said. Harish questioned why Revanth Reddy has still not demanded an Apex Council meet.
"What's stopping you from confronting the Centre or Andhra? Or are you just doing what your political guru Chandrababu Naidu wants?" he asked.
The ex-minister said the people of Telangana were watching. He said under the GWDT award, Central Water Commission (CWC) can't approve projects without EAC clearances. The CM doesn't even understand that Apex Council comes before CWC. This is basic. Is this ignorance?" he asked. Meanwhile, irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday said the Congress govt will not compromise on Telangana's rightful share of water in the Godavari and Krishna rivers.

Washington, DC [US], July 3 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Wednesday (local time) that the Indian embassy and ambassador have been in touch with US Senator Lindsey Graham regarding the bill on Russia and India will have to cross that bridge if it comes to it. Graham's sanctions bill on Russia would impose a 500 per cent tariff on imports from any nation that purchases Russian oil, gas, uranium and other products, The Hill reported. The bill has over 80 co-sponsors in the Senate, potentially making it veto-proof. After the war erupted between Russia and Ukraine, the US and Western nations imposed sanctions on Moscow. However, India has continued to purchase Russian oil. Earlier in May, Lindsey Graham said he is in touch with US President Donald Trump regarding the bill. Republican lawmakers have indicated they are worried about moving the bill but are waiting for approval from Trump before bringing the legislation to the floor. When asked whether Trump is giving instructions on when the bill will come to the floor, Graham stated, 'We are separate entities coordinating with each other,' The Hill reported. Graham is proposing a carveout for his Russian sanctions bill to exclude nations that help Ukraine's defence, protecting them from a 500 per cent tariff for trading with Russia. (ANI)

Hubbali (Karnataka) [India], July 3 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Mahesh Tenginkai slammed Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge over his recent statement to ban the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), stating that the Congress does not even deserve to sit in the 'opposition' and that Kharge should think before making such a statement. The BJP MLA stated that his party will remain in power for the next 20 years and that no attention will be given to Priyank Kharge's statement. 'Priyank Kharge should think once. BJP is PM Narendra Modi's party, which will stay in power for 20 more years. Your party (Congress) will not be in power. It doesn't even deserve to be in is no need to give more attention to his statement', the BJP MLA said. Following Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge's statement of imposing a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the BJP has hit back at the Congress leader, stating that the minister is 'threatening bans' as he feels that the situation in the country is like the year 1975. The Karnataka unit of the BJP slammed Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge through an 'X' post. A lover's relationship: Kejriwal alleges secret nexus between Cong and BJP
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress during a party membership drive in Ahmedabad, alleging that the two major national parties are secretly working in tandem. Addressing the supporters, Kejriwal drew a provocative analogy, questioning the relationship between the two parties in Gujarat. He said, "What is the relationship between Congress and the BJP? Is it a brother-sister relationship or a husband-wife relationship? It is a lovers' relationship. They meet secretly due to the fear of society. Society does not accept their marriage." He accused both parties of being complicit in corruption and blamed their alleged collusion for decades of misgovernance. He said, "Stay away from them, they are very dangerous. Their rule lasted for 30 years because Congress was in their pocket. 70 per cent of contracts go to this party, 20 per cent of contracts go to that party. Both parties have opened their own companies. These people don't go to jail... Congress works for the BJP. Only Aam Aadmi Party serves the country." He positioned AAP as the genuine alternative in Indian politics, saying that the only AAP "serves the country." On Tuesday, while speaking to the media, Kejriwal hailed the party's victory in Gujarat's Visavadar by-election, saying it reflects the mood of Gujarat for a change. Kejriwal said, "In the Visavadar by-election, the overwhelming majority with which Aam Aadmi Party secured victory and defeated BJP shows the mood of Gujarat, that people are fed up with BJP, they are angry, and want change. Gujarat wants a change," Kejriwal said. The AAP Chief said that the victory was a response to the people's desire for an alternative to the BJP, which has ruled Gujarat for 30 years. "BJP ruled here for 30 years because there was no alternative; Congress was sitting in BJP's lap... Now people have found a good, honest, patriotic alternative. They have decided to bring the Aam Aadmi Party to power," Kejriwal claimed. On June 24, after winning the Visavadar Assembly bye-election by 17,554 votes, AAP leader Gopal Italia credited victory to public support, called it a historic result against the BJP's efforts, and highlighted growing faith in AAP leadership in Gujarat. The Visavadar seat fell vacant after Bhayani Bhupendrabhai Gandubhai resigned. Visavadar assembly constituency is part of Junagadh district and a segment of Junagadh Lok Sabha constituency. The party had fielded Gopal Italia, a former Gujarat party chief, as its candidate for the Visavadar Assembly bypolls. The AAP party workers celebrated the election results in Gujarat, as Gopal Italia defeated BJP's Kirit Patel by 17,554 votes, garnering 75,942 votes in total.
