Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson share affectionate red carpet moment

USA Today4 days ago
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson played it up for the cameras at the London premiere of their latest film, "The Naked Gun."
As they posed at the red carpet's step-and-repeat, Anderson, 58, leaned up and gave Neeson, 73, a smooch on the side of his face. As they took photos with one of the film's producers, Anderson was seen clasping Neeson's hand around her left hip.
The actors' coziness reflects the praise that the onscreen romantic interests have heaped on each other in interviews leading up to the movie's release, which reboots the "Naked Gun" franchise from the 1980s and 1990s that was born out of the ABC sitcom "Police Squad!"
Neeson made headlines in 2024 when he said in a People magazine cover story that he is "madly in love with" Anderson. He added: " I can't compliment her enough. She's funny."
Meanwhile, Anderson told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published in May that "our chemistry was clear from the start." She added: "We have the utmost respect for one another."
She called filming with her costar "electric in a way" and praised him for being "inspiring, "a true gentleman" and "a legend — and deserving of the title."
'My relationship is my work': Pamela Anderson talks family life, surviving 'a tough business'
Anderson also opened up about the behind-the-scenes of filming, joking that she and Neeson had "romantic dinners" with both of their assistants. "Our relationship stayed 'professionally romantic' during filming," she said.
Both actors, who have been previously married to other celebrities, have indicated a lack of interest in dating. The "Baywatch" star told USA TODAY earlier this year that the adult sons that she shares with first husband Tommy Lee, 29-year-old Brandon Lee and 27-year-old Dylan Jagger Lee, are her priority.
"I'm a very lucky mom, but I've always felt a little guilty that they feel so protective of me. I wish our family survived intact; I've never gotten over it, and that's something I've carried with me," Anderson said.
"Even now, my relationship is my work. I have two grown, beautiful kids who say, 'Mom, all we want for you is to be you and realize your potential.' And that's exactly how I feel for them... I want them to live their own lives: full of ups and downs, mistakes, and whatever they're going to do in their careers, and not to worry about Mom."
'I think that's it': Liam Neeson suggests retirement from action movies in 2025
For Neeson's part, when he was asked whether he was dating last year, he told People: "No, in a word. I'm past all that."
He was married to Natasha Richardson from 1994 until her death at 45 years old in 2009.

Bob Odenkirk thinks he was 'too hard' on 'SNL' as young writer: 'This show could be better'

The "Nobody 2" star also tells EW he "would love that opportunity" when asked if there's a chance he'll host the season 51 premiere. Bob Odenkirk has found new respect for Saturday Night Live after leaving the show. While discussing Nobody 2 at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, the actor tells Entertainment Weekly that he has gained a better perspective on SNL in the years since he finished his tenure as a writer, which lasted from 1987 to 1991. Although he's previously said that he had a less-than-stellar view of SNL while he worked there, he now realizes that he judged the show too harshly. "I was too hard on the show," he says. "I had a lot of attitude when I got hired there, like, 'This show could be better, this show could be Monty Python, this should be more cutting edge, this should be more dangerous.' And I was frustrated by it not representing purely my point of view. I wanted it to be me, my show." Odenkirk now understands that his desire to personally transform the entire voice of SNL was foolhardy. "It's not my show! It's a show that is shared by everyone who's in that cast, and everyone who's in that writing staff, and it's shared by generations, and not one generation," he says. He continues, "Everybody in America watches it, and it's a reference point for everyone. I think the 50th just made me more aware [than] ever of the amazing work that's been done there." The Better Call Saul star also thinks that he got to write boundary-pushing comedy on a later project. "I think Mr. Show, the show I did with David Cross, I consider my effort to do something edgy and new and try to blast through some barriers and go to another level," he says. Odenkirk also admits that he didn't fully appreciate how SNL's lightning-fast weekly schedule makes its production so difficult. "It's a bigger challenge than I thought it was when I worked there," he explains. "When I worked there I was 25, I was like, 'C'mon, dammit! We can do better! This is easy!' And it literally was the years since I've left that I went, 'Wait a second, that show is almost impossible to do at all.'" Additionally, when asked if he'd consider hosting the show during its upcoming 51st season, Odenkirk responds strongly in the affirmative. "I would love that opportunity," he says. "I have mad respect for the effort of that show, and I would dream of being able to host."Though he's never hosted the show before, Odenkirk says that it remains within the realm of possibility. "There's been conversation about it," he explains. "They don't have me locked out. I'm friends with everybody there, and I know so many of the writers, and I know so many of the actors. It's just part of my life." Watch EW's full livestream of Friday's Comic-Con interviews above. Check out more of . Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly Solve the daily Crossword

White House Calls ‘The View's' Joy Behar an 'Irrelevant Loser' After She Says Trump's 'Jealous of Obama'

President Donald Trump's administration isn't just taking aim at late night hosts, as they've now turned their attention to daytime programming. The White House had some strong words to say about The View co-host Joy Behar after she said Trump was 'so jealous' of former President Barack Obama. More from The Hollywood Reporter Five Things to Know About Donald Trump's "AI Action Plan" for Government Regulation Trump's End Game With The Wall Street Journal Defamation Lawsuit Trump's Side Deal With "New Owners" of Paramount May Hint at FCC Concessions Behar's comments were made during Wednesday's episode of ABC's daytime talk show, when the panel — consisting of Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin — was discussing Trump's recent attack on his predecessor. During an earlier press conference, in an attempt to distract from questions about the Jeffrey Epstein files, Trump accused Obama of 'treason' and his administration of trying to 'steal' the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. In response, Obama spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush called Trump's claims 'outrageous,' 'bizarre' and a 'weak attempt at distraction.' On The View, Behar also had some thoughts. 'First of all, who tried to overthrow the government on Jan. 6. Who was that again? That was not Obama,' she said, referring to the deadly insurrection on the United States Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, which was mostly led by Trump's supporters. 'The thing about him is he's so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: trim, smart, handsome, happily married and can sing Al Green's song 'Let's Stay Together' better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It's driving him crazy,' Behar added. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers then clapped back at the View co-host in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter, which read, 'Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's no surprise that The View's ratings hit an all-time low last year. She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.' Over the past week, Trump has been firing off attacks at late night hosts after it was announced that Stephen Colbert's The Late Show would be coming to an end in May 2026. CBS, which is owned by Paramount Global, cited a 'financial decision' amid a declining linear TV landscape for the cancellation. However, there has been other speculation swirling as the news came shortly after Paramount agreed to pay $16 million to settle a lawsuit from Trump, who sued over former Vice President Kamala Harris' 60 Minutes interview. Sources previously told THR that Paramount believes the lawsuit posed a threat to Skydance's deal to acquire the company, as it seeks approval by the FCC under the Trump administration. Colbert has openly criticized the settlement on his CBS show. Following the news, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to positively gloat about The Late Show being canceled, writing, 'I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!' Colbert later clapped back at the president, saying on his show, 'How dare you, sir? Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism? Go fuck yourself.'
