Terry Crews Says He Never Wants to Judge 'America's Got Talent': Here's Why (Exclusive)
Terry Crews exclusively tells PEOPLE why he would never be a judge on America's Got Talent
Crews called hosting America's Got Talent "a dream gig" and revealed who he thinks would make a good judge alongside Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara and Mel B
Crews joined America's Got Talent as a host beginning with season 14 in 2019Don't expect to see Terry Crews sitting behind the judges' table on America's Got Talent anytime soon.
The former professional football player turned actor, 56, exclusively told PEOPLE at a recent red carpet celebrating the show's milestone 20th season that he's most comfortable being the host and, as he described it, a "bodyguard" for the contestants.
"That's not my thing," he said of being a judge. "I mean, I am 100% the bodyguard of talent because when I look at all the people that come through here, they just remind me of me."
"I remember just sitting in Michigan praying one day if I get my shot to come out to L.A. and make it happen, and they remind me of everything that I've been through," he explained. "So I protect it and I watch them."
Crews said he is there to support the contestants, no matter how well they did or didn't do on the stage.
"I'm the counselor when they go on. I give them all the good advice when they come off. If it didn't go well, I console them," he said. "So I love that."

While Crews isn't down to be a judge on America's Got Talent, he does have an idea for who would make a good one alongside Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara and Mel B.
"I think Chris Rock would be a great judge," he revealed. "He knows funny, but he knows entertainment."
Crews, who joined America's Got Talent as a host beginning with season 14 in 2019, said working on the show is "a dream come true" for him.
"This is a dream gig," he said. "Where else can you go where the whole world is watching?"
America's Got Talent season 20 premieres Tuesday, May 27, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Kristin Cavallari's Kids Make Debut Appearance on Mom's Podcast— and Share How They Really Feel About Filming Their Reality Series
Kristin Cavallari's three kids are sharing what they really think about filming their new reality TV series. On Tuesday, June 3, the Laguna Beach alum's kids Camden, 12, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9, appeared on her podcast Let's Be Honest for the first time and spoke with their mom about a variety of topics, including what they thought about filming the family's new TV series Honestly Cavallari. "Some of it was boring and then some of it was fun," Saylor answers when her mom asks what she thought of filming. "What part was boring?" asks Cavallari. "Just when we'd talk," Saylor says. "It's not like we talk like a family ever," jokes Camden. Cavallari again asks her daughter what part was boring, to which she responds, "No, when we were just sitting down." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. The proud mom then asks all three of her kids what was the most fun about filming the show. "Them putting the mic on you and then you'd be like, 'Check check,' and then they'd look at you and be like," Camden says, showing a thumbs up at the end. "You guys loved having a microphone," says Cavallari. She then asks if her kids liked the show after watching the first episode, to which they all say yes. Cavallari also asks if the experience of filming was what they expected. "I just thought they'd come, put some cameras up, put some mics and then we'd just talk and film," says Camden. Cavallari goes on to say that filming this show was one of the easiest experiences for her since they were just told to be themselves. "I don't think any of it was really scripted except the last part," admits Camden. "She told us some questions to ask you." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kristin Cavallari (@kristincavallari) Earlier this month, Cavallari shared why she's been posting photos of her kids and letting them join her on her new TV series after previously not sharing them on social media. While speaking to PEOPLE ahead of the premiere of her new E! docuseries, the mom of three shared that her children have been eager to get in on the spotlight. "They have been asking me for years to post them. I guess it was maybe a year and a half ago that I finally posted Camden. He's almost 13, Saylor is 9 — she'll be 10 in the fall. It's sort of the curse of being the second or the third kid. They just sort of naturally do what the oldest is doing. In my perfect world, would they all be 12 [before] deciding if they were posted? Sure. But also, it's just not realistic," she said. For most of the kids' childhood, Cavallari refrained from showing their faces online. Now that they're a little older, she said, she's enjoying being able to fully share them with her audience. "It is nice for me to be able to show that with people because my kids are the biggest part of my life. They always have been since I became a mom," said Cavallari. "And I could only let people in so much without showing my kids, so to be able to now share that world with everybody? People [can] see at the end of the day, I am just a normal mom. That is my life." Read the original article on People

Jimmy Fallon Gives Dakota Johnson a Tissue to Cover Her Cleavage, Jokes He'll Sell It on eBay
Dakota Johnson had some last-minute regrets about her outfit choice on 'The Tonight Show' on Monday night, so Jimmy Fallon provided a quick fix in the form of a tissue. The NBC host then joked that he'd sell it online afterward. The moment came right at the start of Johnson's appearance in support of her new film 'Materialists,' which hits theaters on June 13. As she sat down, she looked downward and uttered 'Oh god' as she seemed to realize her skirt rode up a bit high and the neckline of her top showed a lot, given the angle of the camera. 'This is the wrong outfit,' Johnson said with a chuckle. 'I think it's perfect, just don't move' Fallon replied, prompting Johnson to joke that 'my eyes are up here.' The duo then recalled their experiences with the 'SNL50' celebration, with the actress noting that she wasn't actually in the crowd but got to watch from under the bleachers, where 'SNL' boss Lorne Michaels watches. But, as the conversation progressed, Johnson was once again distracted by how exposed she felt. 'Tell me if there's a problem,' she requested. Fallon swore there wasn't a problem — just 'almost' a problem — but Johnson then jokingly asked for a blanket from anyone in the room to help cover up. So, the comedian offered her the next best thing he had: a tissue. Johnson proceeded to tuck it in and indeed, the tissue covered everything. But, when Fallon lamented ruining her outfit, the actress opted to take the tissue out and handed it back to him. 'Do you want to keep this?' Johnson asked, to which Fallon joked: 'I'm putting this on eBay this evening.' Johnson managed to navigate the rest of the interview without triggering NBC's standards department too much, save for the stray f-bomb. That wasn't the only funny moment between these two stars, though. While talking about the 50th anniversary special, Johnson said she saw her 'Materialists' co-star Pedro Pascal behind the scenes as he was preparing for the 'Domingo: Vow Renewal' sketch. Meryl Streep was also backstage for another sketch, and though Johnson had never met the iconic actress, she said hi. 'She reached for me and kissed my hand,' Johnson shared, earning a theatrical gasp from the studio audience. Watch the full NBC interview above.
