Now, the famous cobbles home has undergone a striking transformation - and fans are already buzzing about the bold new look.
The new interiors are also set to pave the way for explosive storylines, as life at No.8 takes a dramatic turn.
Next week on the ITV soap, Corrie crook Lou Michaelis (Farrell Hegarty) is caught red-handed snooping where she shouldn't - and fans are left wondering if she's nabbed a wad of cash.
The troublemaker clocks a bulging envelope of money stashed in Shona Platt's (Julia Goulding) bag during a boozy toast led by Nick Tilsley (Ben Price).
Seizing her moment, Lou slips away into the Platt house - and it's not long before temptation gets the better of her.
Just as she toys with swiping the stash, Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) bursts in and demands Lou empty her pockets, fearing the worst.
But did Lou actually nick the cash - or is she about to talk her way out of another sticky situation?
Spoiler pictures reveal the new revamped No,8 with new decorative paintings on a painted grey wall.
The new door, stairs and banister are made of wood with clear panels and there is new laminate flooring in the living room and kitchen.
The cosy living room has a new velvet sofa with patterned cushions, beige curtains and a glass square coffee table.

She landed the deal after becoming a major player for Sky, with her comedy-drama Brassic one of the most popular series to air on the platform. A source said: 'Michelle has really been enjoying maternity leave with Palma, but she'll be back to work soon to film these new adverts for Sky. 'She has signed a six-figure deal for the job and is thrilled to have been chosen to appear alongside Idris, who has been their 'face'. 'Brassic is ending after the seventh series and Michelle is keen to still be a part of the Sky brand. 'Landing this ad is huge for Michelle, as she's fast becoming a brand in her own right. "Everything she touches seems to turn to gold.' The actress, 38, found fame as Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street after joining the ITV soap in 2007. But it was after she left in 2014 her career really took off, with hits such as BBC military drama Our Girl from 2016 to 2020, playing Georgie Lane. Last year, she had the starring role as Maya Stern in Netflix's Harlan Coben thriller Fool Me Once — which racked up more than 100 million views globally. Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan take newborn baby Palma to another luxury hotel as they stay in £21k a night suite The show became the streaming service's most watched series of 2024, beating Bridgerton and Baby Reindeer. The Sun revealed last year that the Manchester-born actress, who is married to Heart radio DJ and former The Only Way is Essex star Mark Wright, 38, was sitting on a £3.6million fortune. Michelle admitted leaving Coronation Street after six years had pushed her onwards to succeed with her career. She said: 'For me, it was a massive learning platform. "I took a long, long time to decide to leave. It was very hard. 'And then, when they told me they were killing off my character and there was no going back, I thought I would never work again. 'My security was ripped away, which made me push forward and work harder.' 3 Idris Elba will join Michelle in leading the Sky brand Unlock even more award-winning articles as The Sun launches brand new membership programme - Sun Club.

Coronation Street hints at shock new story - and Gary will pay
Gary Windass (Mikey North) looks set to be targeted in a new Coronation Street story after Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) swore she would do 'anything to survive'. Lou isn't the most popular person on the cobbles, given that her husband Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) murdered Craig Tinker. So far, Gary is the only person to have really given her the time of day, and she is certainly taking advantage of his kindness. In tonight's episode, he agreed to buy Mick's van from her after learning that she was struggling with money. He also offered her some advice – to pick a side in order to make peace with the rest of the community. When Lou took this a little too literally and turned up at Craig's memorial, Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) was furious – even more so when Gary defended her. Having outstayed her welcome at the memorial, Lou went to visit Mick in prison. More Trending When she got there, she told Mick about Gary's kindness, which only upset him as he accused her of cheating. Though she protested her innocence, she pointed out that since Mick had been behind bars she had been struggling to make ends meet and would do whatever it took to survive. She implied that Mick had no right to argue given that it was his fault they were in this position, and she seemed determined to carry on with whatever she was planning. Coronation Street fans rumble what really happened to Becky in sad Swain twist
Coronation Street fans are convinced they know what really happened to Becky - DS Lisa Swain's former partner - after Betsy learned some truths about Becky in tonight's episode Coronation Street fans have worked out what really happened to Becky. The character has never appeared on screen but she was a huge part of Lisa Swain's life before she arrived on the Cobbles. Lisa lost her partner Becky in the line of duty and has struggled with that since, unable to cope with the effect it had on their daughter Betsy and has feared her own danger whilst out on the beat after what happened to her late partner. Tonight, there was a shock twist as some truths came out about Becky, with more to come. Betsy found some files about Becky and whilst Swain tried to pass it off, Betsy continued her investigation with it looking like there was some corruption involved. We know Becky died in the line of duty after being run over by Mason's evil brothers during a robbery but now fans of the ITV soap have come up with a whole new theory about what happened to Becky. One fan wrote: "Becky Swain has either faked her own death or is in witness protection. Likely to next be seen alive at Carla & Lisa's wedding day when the guy asks if anyone has any objections." "So when Becky finally arrives, I need someone to make a joke about Lisa having a type. I'll even accept Becky saying it too," another added, with a third sharing: "Okay so Becky is either in whiteness protection or was a bent copper and idk what I'd love more #Corrie." There has been much talk about how well things are going for Carla and Lisa - affectionately named Swarla by fans - with Sydney Martin recently telling The Mirror that Betsy is rooting for them too. "I think secretly she would love it. Sydney would absolutely love it, but Betsy I think internally she would too. She knows the dynamic really works and she does truly see Carla as a stepmother and as family. But I think she would still be Betsy wouldn't she, and she would probably be embarrassed by them both," she told us. Vicky Myers - who plays Lisa - also shared her own hopes about the future for her character and Carla. She said: "I think a backstory would be great, but I think in time. There are so many other things that I think should be explored with the two of them and their extended family, and how they navigate life all together in their flat." Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
