Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey appears in court charged with five counts of rape
The alleged offences took place between 2021 and 2022, when he was an Arsenal player.
Partey stood with his arms behind his back in the dock at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, wearing a black zip-neck jumper.
The footballer, who gave his address as Potters Bar, showed no reaction as the charges were read out and was not asked to enter any pleas.
The alleged offences include incidents of anal rape, the court heard.
His bail conditions include that he cannot contact any of the three women and must notify police of any permanent changes of address or international travel.
It comes amid reports that Partey is set to join Spanish club Villarreal.
As bail conditions were discussed in court, Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring said: 'I understand he's no longer employed in this country and playing in Spain now.'
Partey is due to appear at the Old Bailey on September 2.

A spokeswoman for Arsenal Supporters Against Sexual Violence said they were 'profoundly disappointed' in the north London club for their handling of the matter.
Speaking outside court, Honor Barbersaid: 'We never wanted to be in a situation where the club that we love and the club that has values that we believe in was playing, week-in week-out, a player who is now facing court appearances on six counts of sexual violence.
'We protested outside almost every home game last season because we wanted to disrupt the wall of silence that the club has put up around this issue, and we did that because we want to support our club and feel happy and comfortable supporting our club.'
Members of the group held a banner which read 'Arsenal said: 'We do the right thing' then did nothing'.
Barber said the group wanted Arsenal to publish their sexual violence policies, 'suspend anyone under investigation for sexual offences' and 'properly support the survivors'.
London's Metropolitan Police said it first received reports of an allegation of rape in February 2022.
Partey's lawyer Jenny Wiltshire previously said he 'denies all the charges against him', adding he welcomed 'the opportunity to finally clear his name'.
He joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020 in a transfer worth around £45m.
The defensive midfielder signed for the Spanish club in 2012 and made 188 appearances, as well as going out on loan to Mallorca and Leganes.
He played 35 games for the north London club in the Premier League last season, scoring four goals.
Partey has also made more than 50 appearances for Ghana including at the World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.
An Arsenal spokesperson previously said: 'The player's contract ended on June 30. Due to ongoing legal proceedings, the club is unable to comment on the case.'

Dunne reflects on Henry handball and THAT Russia performance
Richard Dunne had plenty of standout moments throughout his footballing career. Whether it was captaining Manchester City or leading Ireland to the European Championships with his no-nonsense defending, Dunne reached heights that have been somewhat lacking for the Boys in Green since his retirement. However, one of the most disappointing nights of his career is one that Ireland fans remember all too well. Pic: Sky Sports In November 2009, Irish hearts were broken by the left hand of Thierry Henry. After Ireland forced France to extra-time on their own turf, a place in the 2010 FIFA World Cup seemed a real possibility against all odds. However, with the match looking like it could head to penalties, a moment that has lived in infamy ever since occurred. When a long ball into the Irish box was slightly overhit and heading out for a goal-kick, Thierry Henry slipped into a blind spot for the referee, blatantly controlled it with his hand and tapped it across for William Gallas to head home. Despite the disbelief from Ireland's players, the referee was none the wiser and the tie finished 2-1 to France on aggregate. Dunne was of course in the penalty box when the incident occurred and he has reflected that while anger and disappointment were the predominant feelings at the time, ultimately they just had to get on with it. 'It is tough to take but throughout the course of your career, some will go for you and some will go against you, it's just the way it is.' Although the France result felt like such a low point at the time, a couple of years afterwards, Ireland fans got to witness one of Dunne's highest rated performances on the international stage. In September 2011, Ireland visited Russia in a UEFA European Championship qualifier and never has a goalless draw been remembered like this one. Russia bombarded the Irish box with crosses and shots all game and were simply left stunned by how the ball never made it through to the back of the net. A major reason why it ended this way was Richard Dunne. Dunne's replacement shirt against Russia became iconic. He drew the 'Iron Curtain' across Ireland's goal and with the help of Shay Given, his defensive heroics earned an invaluable point that ultimately led Ireland to Euro 2012. When asked if he knew what an immense performance he was putting on at the time, Dunne remarked 'probably not' and added that while as a player you have a feeling if you're playing well, it was 'just a 0-0 draw in Russia' at the end of the day. He said: 'It was good and it's nice that it's something to be remembered by and I've obviously still got the scars from it. 'It's just of those things that follows you around I suppose.' Reflecting on it, he continued: 'It is funny, like every year it comes up and people show little clips of it. 'It's good to show my son and let him see it and stuff like that but sometimes it happens and you're just in the right place at the right time and it just happened on a couple of occasions that night. 'I think it's tough to really understand it. It's just one of those things that happened and you're really proud of it. 'It's just a nice memory to have.'

Wealth of GAA skills in team will stand Ireland in good stead at women's Rugby World Cup
Gareth Steenson, assistant coach of the Ireland women's rugby team, has praised the range of GAA skills among members of the World Cup squad as they prepare for Saturday's final tournament warm-up against world number two side Canada in Belfast . Steenson, who won two Premiership titles and a Champions Cup during a 12-year stint with the Exeter Chiefs, said the handling and kicking of those with a GAA background has been a huge boon to the side. 'It's one thing I've noticed massively since I've come back, having been away in England for so many years,' said the Armagh-born former outhalf. 'The GAA players, the skill level right across the board, the high-ball skills, all those elements. It's fantastic to have that in the locker and a lot of the girls actually have that.' 'I've been here a year and working with the girls and the evolvement of how they've performed . . . ultimately when we went across into that competition, kicking was a big part of what our DNA was. We've been developing that the last year. 'But from Dannah's point of view, it probably gets highlighted a little bit more because she's obviously a player in the position that she's playing. 'For us, it's about developing and getting her understanding of when it's best to use it, how to use it and when it becomes a little bit more of where we're actually looking and kicking at spaces and parts of the field, all that sort of thing. So, I've noticed since being here that her understanding has developed massively.' England are the top-ranked team in the world with Canada second, New Zealand third, France fourth and Ireland in fifth place. Although he knows what strengths Canada will bring to the newly monikered Affidea Stadium at noon on Saturday, Steenson hopes it will be a different, more polished Irish team that lines out for the final warm-up match before meeting Japan in Franklin's Gardens on August 24th for the first pool match of the World Cup. 'Obviously, Canada are going to bring a lot of threats across the board, whether it be the kicking game, whether it be their physicality and everything they can bring,' he said. 'We're going to look to use that potential to have that in the back-burner, but we also have a few other tricks up the sleeve when required.'
