Bradley Walsh has seen some huge wins during his time as host on The Chase

But there have been times when people have managed it, taking home some incredible life-changing amounts – whether for themselves or for charity.
Here are some of the biggest wins ever on the show, and how they managed to do it.
But the question is - would you have known the answers? You'll find all the answers at the bottom of this article.
1. Celebrity Top Spot - £160,000

Rachel and Kirsty hold the record for the biggest win

Appearing for Soccer Aid in 2018, Kirsty Gallacher and Rachel Riley unwittingly made The Chase history in the process.
The pair made it to the final chase against Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace, and seemed on the backfoot with only 16 points for him to beat.
However, soon they found themselves clawing it back thanks to a combination of wrong answers from Wallace and correct pushbacks, giving them the upper hand.
In the dying seconds of the game, Shaun was asked: "Which ex formula one driver is a multiple Paralympic champion?"
The Chaser didn't know, and then Rachel gave the incorrect answer as David Weir.
In the end, Shaun only made it 11 spaces – and the pair took home the biggest prize packet ever given out in the show's history. It's still not been beaten.
2. Tense Final Chase - £100,000

Duo Karen and Ian took home a massive £50,000 each after beating The Sinnerman

Duo Karen and Ian were the last two contestants standing at the final chase when they appeared on the show in 2024 – and it proved to be a nailbiter.
Throughout the final chase, Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha was extremely close behind them, with pushbacks meaning he came incredibly near beating them.
However, one last second slip-up (literally, with one second remaining) gave them the upper hand, and between them they took home a massive £100,000 prize between them.
Paul slipped up on this question: "Lesley Manville played the widow Cathy in what BBC sitcom?"
3. Besting The Beast - £120,000
7
Bryan Laura and Julia beat The Beast for £120,000

Bryan, Laura and Julia made it through to the final chase together in 2023, going up against Mark 'The Beast' Labbett.
But from the get go they made sure he had to work to stop them, racking up an impressive score of 23 points that Labbett had to beat.
In the final few seconds he was asked: "What island group appears on the signpost of Land's End?"
While he got it right, in the end, he could only achieve 17 with pushbacks also coming in handy, and the trio walked home with £120,000 – or £40,000 each.
4. Biggest Solo Win Ever - £75,000

Eden won the biggest solo win on the show aged just 20

In 2021, Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis was beaten by 20-year-old student Eden Nash in the final chase.
Darragh was asked: "'When I give my heart' is a line from what Nat King Cole hit?"
The Chaser answered correctly but time was not on his side.
The win meant Eden took home £75,000 – the single highest win on a daytime gameshow ever for a solo player.
As Bradley Walsh congratulated him, Eden joked: "That's alright, innit!" with Darragh saying it was "brilliantly played".
Eden said he was just going to "look at it in his bank account" rather than do anything with it.

Joe won the biggest single amount in a head-to-head, only to lose it moments later

5. Biggest Head-to-Head Win - £201,000
Strictly star and YouTuber Joe Sugg made show history in 2023 when he managed to bag a staggering £201,000 for the prize pot.
In his head-to-head round against Paul Sinha, Joe took a massive gamble by going for the higher prize.
It all came down to a one question shoot out which was: "Which of a hedgehog's senses is very poor?"
The options were sight, hearing, smell.
Joe managed to get the answer right, with Bradley hugging Joe at his impressive feat.
But in a devastating blow, he later lost it in the final chase when Paul ultimately caught up to the team's score of 18 after a minor mistake.
When asked who starred in Stepbrothers, Joe and his celebrity team-mates answered Will Ferrell - but mispronounced his name as Will Farrell, which Bradley could not accept.
The team were instead awarded £1,000 each for their chosen charities.

6. Biggest group take down - £116,000
It's rare that all four contestants make it to the final chase, so Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan had her work cut out from her at the start.
In this celebrity special, Tony Maudsley, Bryony Page, Kerry Godilman and Alexander Armstrong all made it through to the last round, with £116,000 in their prize pot for charity.
Racking up an impressive 23 points for The Vixen to beat, Jenny gave it her all but found herself suffering pushbacks when she got questions wrong.
In the final moments, she was asked: "What was the full name of the first Duke of Wellington?"
The Vixen knew her history, but it wasn't enough to catch the players.
Maybe it was the Christmas spirit, but the team managed to take home the win – and more importantly £116,000 (29,000 each) for good causes, mainly children's charities.
Rather than be annoyed, Jenny looked tearfully proud at the group for their achievement.

Abi confronts Kevin and he tells her how sorry he is, explaining he couldn't cope with losing her. He reveals how he thought that lying about his cancer would stop her from leaving him for Carl. Asserting that she can't bear to look at him, an emotional Abi heads out and straight into Carl's arms. Declaring that she is done with Kevin, Abi passionately kisses Carl. Elsewhere, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) are pleased to think Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) and Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) have buried the hatchet when they both attend Eco Club. Todd grits his teeth and attends the restorative justice session with Noah. With the session over and having listened to enough of Noah's goading, Todd hurries out. Realising he forgot his jacket, Todd goes back to the community centre in time to overhear Noah on the phone to Danielle. Todd's shocked to realise they're an item. As Danielle joins Theo and the kids at the Bistro, a seething Todd reveals that Danielle has a new boyfriend and it happens to be Noah. Danielle's mortified and Theo reels. Miles rounds on Todd and tries to punch him, but Theo blocks his path and accidentally strikes Miles, sending him sprawling to the ground. Theo is horrified. Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) insists the family sit down for breakfast and clear the air. As James looks after Laila, he takes a call and confirms that he's still very much interested in the job. With his bags packed, is James leaving with or without Laila? Abi paints on a smile for Jack's sake, while Carl doubles down and tells Abi that she's doing the right thing by staying with Kevin and it's best if they keep their distance from now on. Sam opens up to Toyah about his anxiety and his recent panic attacks. Lisa admits she skipped her therapy and instead visited Becky's grave as tomorrow would have been their anniversary. Lisa is struggling with today being her and Becky's anniversary. Despite Carla and Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) being worried about her, Lisa insists she is okay and heads off for a therapy session, where she finally opens up and admits to her therapist that she wonders if there was more to Becky's death than meets the eye and if she was in some way corrupt. Meanwhile Carla secretly visits Logan Radcliffe in prison hoping to extract information about Becky. At the police station, Lisa sneaks into DI Costello's office and searches his email for any reference to Becky Swain. Will she be caught? Later a furious Lisa tackles Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) after seeing his name on the computer asking for access to Becky's file. She tells Carla she can no longer work with Kit after he went behind her back. Will Carla reveal what she has been up to? Todd plays it down when Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) calls round and sees bedding on the sofa. Explaining that Danielle is now with Noah, Todd explains that Theo is not allowed to see his kids. Billy advises Todd to try and persuade Dannielle. Will it work? Todd summons Danielle to the Bistro and implores Danielle to let Theo see his kids, pointing out that he's a good dad. Theo is furious to discover Todd has been letting Billy advise him on how to sort out Theo's problems. Billy calls at No.11 hoping to make amends, but Theo gives him short shrift, making out that Todd's in the shower. Todd descends the stairs, oblivious to Theo's lies. At the garage, Kevin tells Carl he's sacked as he simply can't trust him anymore. Carl agrees that a fresh start might do him good. When Abi wonders where Carl has got to, Kevin makes out that he quit his job and announced that he wants to start afresh elsewhere. Abi's secretly gutted. EastEnders' Yolande vows to call the wedding off after discovery about Patrick
Hearts were warmed when EastEnders' Yolande and Patrick Trueman (Angela Wynter and Rudolph Walker) got engaged earlier this year. However, their future happiness are about to be placed in serious doubt when Patrick's actions prompt Yolande to threaten to call off their wedding altogether. In scenes set to air on the BBC soap next week, Yolande is busy planning her dream nuptials, but worries that Patrick is gambling in order to pay for the celebrations. She insists that Patrick stop placing bets, but he continues to do so in secret. Later in the week, Patrick wins big on the horses and pleads with Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) to keep the reason behind his windfall a secret. This being Walford, however, Yolande soon finds out and is angry that Patrick has continued to gamble when she asked him not to. After a tense conversation, she then tells him the wedding is off if he places another bet, which forces Patrick to do some serious thinking. But then Howie offers a solution – he will place the bet for Patrick instead. Is Patrick poised to lose not only the cash he'd already won, but his beloved Yolande too? Yolande and Patrick were previously married from 2004 to 2009, but they split after she left Walford to take a job at the Minute Mart HQ in Birmingham. Actress Angela Wynter made a subsequent guest appearance as Yolande in 2017, before returning to the role full-time in 2023, which saw her character reunite with Patrick. Last year, Yolande was at the centre of a hard-hitting storyline when she was sexually assaulted by her church pastor Gideon Clayton (Howard Saddler) during a community event. Antiques Roadshow guests admit life-altering value of artwork doesn't 'change anything'
An Antiques Roadshow expert was on hand to give owners a "special" appraisal of two paintings but the couple barely reactd to the news. WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Antiques Roadshow. Antiques Roadshow guests candidly told an expert that the whopping sum for two paintings didn't "change anything" for them. Antiques Roadshow 's expert Charlotte Riordan was filming at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh when she was shown two simple yet striking paintings by Kim Tschang-yeul. The BBC expert began: "So I know that most of our production team has been praying that raindrops stay away today but I was delighted to see these two paintings of droplets of water. "So thank you very much for bringing them. Can you tell me how you came by the paintings?" The owner revealed: "My brother-in-law is French and his first cousin was married to Kim, the artist. We met them when we were first married back in 1974. "My sister said, 'You really want to see his paintings. They're pretty special.' I think we probably had no money at the time but we bought two because we loved them." Riordan then shared extensive background details about the artist, explaining: "Kim Tschang-yeul is Korean originally and was from unified Korea, as it was at the time. "In the north was where he was born. Sadly, he had to flee Korea during the Communist regime taking hold. "He actually served in the military during the Korean War. Went to New York and then eventually settled in Paris which is where he began painting his raindrops." She did point out there was a "little bit of water damage" to one of the canvases but shared that it was actually a wet canvas in his studio which inspired him to paint droplets. Riordan went on to comment: "I believe that's also not uncommon for the school of Korean artists that he came from. "A lot of them went in for this kind of very repetitious, obsessive kind of mark making, and it's seen as being a kind of result of the trauma of the war that they experienced, that this was a therapy. "This was something they used to get out of themselves, to erase traumatic memories. As we can see, the works are both signed and dated. We think 1974 in both cases which is just a couple of years after he discovered the raindrop. "So already by this stage, he was a complete virtuoso at creating this amazing three-dimensional effect." Tschang-yuel primarily created his art using oils on "Hessian-like canvases" alongside wood and sand which he had stuck to one of the two paintings to produce a "sharp relief". Riordan then delivered some tragic news, revealing that Tschang-yuel had passed away earlier that year at the age of 91. She remarked: "He had Parkinson's and was having to hold his hands steady by the end to paint these drops that he never stopped painting. "He's a very, very well-regarded artist in Korea, he's considered one of their pre-eminent artists and his career has thrived in America and France as well." When asked about the original cost of the paintings, the wife revealed: "We've talked about it and I can't imagine we paid more than £150 each at the time." The couple were in for a shock when the expert began her appraisal, stating: "This is exactly the kind of period that gets people particularly excited about his work." She then dropped the bombshell: "And I can say that individually, possibly the piece with the sand would be worth a bit more but they're probably worth at auction around £80,000 to £120,000 each in the current market. "Potentially even more for the sand piece," she added. The woman was visibly taken aback, exclaiming: "Wow." Her husband, grinning, confessed: "We actually thought you was going to say £2,000. "Nope. Bit more than that", Riordan responded, adding: "I'm so delighted to see them and it's been really special having this conversation with you." Despite the staggering valuation, the owner insisted that the value wouldn't change their feelings towards the paintings. "I love them and that's why we have them and the value doesn't actually change anything," the owner mused. "The only problem is that we have four children and I'm not sure we can cut them in half."
