Conan O'Brien Jokes About Dr. Oz Taking Over His Studio In ‘Late Night' Return

Yahooa day ago

Conan O'Brien was full of praise and laughs on his return to Late Night.
O'Brien used to host the show, which is now hosted by Seth Meyers, for 16 years and he returned last night for the first time since leaving.

He joked about what NBC turned his studio into after he left. 'Between my show, the Late Night show that I took over from Letterman, and then SNL, if you add those up I was here almost 20 years in this building and then I didn't come here for a long time. Then I came back briefly and they showed me my old studio and it was Dr. Oz,' he said.
Meyers replied, 'We thought that was a nice tribute.'
'You know what it's like 'I'm going to go see the house where I grew up, that little gingerbread… and it's a Jiffy Lube. They said, 'You missed Dr. Oz' and I'm like 'No, I didn't'. I'm not sure he's a real doctor,' O'Brien added.
O'Brien, who also briefly hosted The Tonight Show, reminisced about segments from his version of Late Night including Horse Riding A Horse, Shoeverine and The Always Disappointing FedEx Pope.
'I've always had a very cartoonish sense of humor,' he said.
He also paid tribute to his writers and Meyers writers and said that the latter does a 'beautiful' job with his show.
'You have found the things that you really love to do that pop. We're on in this very late-night time slot. There's a giant orchestra, there's a lot of noise and I'm just banging my triangle. If you just stay true to what you believe in and you keep doing it with purpose, eventually they'll only hear the triangle. I think you and your staff is proof – there's a lot of noise and there's more late-night than there's ever been, there's the internet – you're competing with all of this noise that I didn't have to compete with but you just keep doubling down on sharp, smart, this is what we want to do and not trying to do what someone else does and it cuts through the fog. It's really beautiful,' he added.

A Big Update On ‘The Pitt' Season 2, Which Is Adding These New Actors

The Pitt The Pitt is currently filming as it attempts to start HBO Max's desire to pump out one season per year like the good old days of broadcast TV. It's a very contained location, almost procedural with all its various crises, and it seems like they'll be able to pull it off. Well, if The Pitt season 2 will be out close to a year after season 1, we can search for other new information about what's coming during season 2, and now we've found some. It's been confirmed that four actors are joining the cast: one patient and three medical personnel. From Deadline, we have the actors in question and who they will be playing: Charles Baker - Troy, an unhoused man forgotten by most, and a patient in the ED. CULVER CITY, CA - JULY 24: Charles Baker attends the "Breaking Bad" Los Angeles Premiere at Sony ... More Pictures Studios on July 24, 2013 in Culver City, California. If you're concerned that this young crop of newbies may replace the old crop of newbies who are off the ER rotation, that's not true, as it's been confirmed the likes of King, Santos, Whitaker and Javadi are all returning. The same is true for Dr. Langdon, seemingly booted out by Robby, but he is a fixture of season 2 as it will take place during his full first day back in the ER, presumably after some sort of rehab/testing stint. There's really no confirmation about who will not return at this point, which also includes Dana Evans, who seemingly left the ER at the end of the season. The Pitt is about to become a major contender in the Emmys now that nominations are submitted, and many would consider Robby's Noah Wyle to be a frontrunner for Best Actor in a Drama. Clearly, there are a lot of potential nominations in the supporting cast, along with the big category, Best Drama, itself. It's not a big surprise that the show is adding new cast members. Well, it was always going to in terms of a slew of new patients, but on the medical side as well. I do wonder, however, how many new actors could be jammed in without any others being removed, lest the show begin to feel overstuffed. But it's just season 2, and we can see how they handle it soon enough. Within the year, it seems. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram. The annual PFT Live hiatus starts now

We do it every year, right around now. The two-hour weekday show devoted to all things NFL embarks on a hiatus. This year's break begins today. PFT Live returns on Monday, July 28. Obviously, nothing changes here. We'll have many daily updates, every single day. I'll also be doing #PFTPM episodes on most of the weekdays during the upcoming break. Only days after we return, we'll be in Canton for the Hall of Fame game. And then comes the preseason. And the regular season. And on and on it goes, through Super Bowl LX on NBC and Peacock. Since the last hiatus ended, we've had a cast of co-hosts including Chris Simms, Devin McCourty, Rodney Harrison, Michael Holley, Charean Williams, and Myles Simmons. With a dash of Peter King. Thanks to all of them for helping to deliver a show that provides an authentic look at pro football, from various perspectives. And thanks to those of you who regularly consume the show, on Peacock or SiriusXM 85 or NBC Sports Now or Sky Sports or YouTube or clips on the website or via podcast.I'll be wide awake tomorrow morning, itching to do the show.
