Front Row Motorsports has confirmed that it will not appeal Layne Riggs's disqualification from the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway.
The 22-year-old's No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford was found to have violated Section 14.4.9.A after he crossed the line in second behind Carson Hocevar.
FOX Sports NASCAR reporter Bob Pockrass has now shared that, "Front Row Motorsports will not appeal the Layne Riggs DQ from Kansas. The truck was released back to the team Sunday."

Riggs is yet to comment on the disqualification. However, he said to the media directly after the race, prior to losing his second-place finish:
Layne Riggs, driver of the #34 Love's RV STOP Ford, pits during the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Heart of Health Care 200 at Kansas Speedway on May 10, 2025 in Kansas City, Kansas.

You can't not be happy about it when you have a last-lap scuffle for the win."
He also discussed his battle with race-winner Hocevar, stating:
"He won the race, and you know, I think he was mad at me. I think he flipped me off all the way down the frontstretch coming to the checkered, but how can you be mad when you win the race, right? But it's all good. It's great to race with them Cup guys, and I think that just proves that I'm going to be there one day."

Giants DFA struggling Wade, Huff; Dom Smith signed to contract

Giants DFA struggling Wade, Huff; Dom Smith signed to contract originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area SAN FRANCISCO — On Tuesday afternoon, Buster Posey stood against a wall in the home clubhouse at Oracle Park and said the Giants were examining both internal and external options to provide a spark for the historically-cold offense. On Wednesday, the shakeup arrived. Advertisement The Giants DFA'd struggling first baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. and backup catcher Sam Huff and also optioned backup infielder Christian Koss. The new first baseman will be veteran Dominic Smith, who was signed to a big-league deal a few days after opting out of his minor-league deal with the New York Yankees. Outfielder Daniel Johnson and catcher Andrew Knizner were selected from Triple-A to fill out the roster. In one series of moves, Posey and general manager Zack Minasian cleared out nearly a quarter of their active position players. The most notable move was with Wade, who was one of Farhan Zaidi's greatest finds but has slumped for nearly a calendar year. Wade was hitting .167 with just one homer and had started to lose playing time against right-handed pitchers to Casey Schmitt. The Giants are coming off back-to-back brutal losses, both of which can be placed just about squarely on their lineup. They might have the best top-to-bottom pitching staff in baseball, but they lost 1-0 on Monday night and 3-2 on Tuesday. The lineup has gone 16 consecutive games without scoring more than four runs, the longest streak since 1965. Posey said Tuesday that the group is better than it has shown over the last two and a half weeks, but also indicated changes were coming. Advertisement 'We're not satisfied with the production,' he said. 'We're trying to exhaust all options.' The only external addition, at least for now, is Smith, who opted out over the weekend. The veteran had a .782 OPS and eight homers in Triple-A and was a little below league-average last year with the Red Sox and Reds, but right now, league-average might hit cleanup for this lineup. WWE's Major Plans For WrestleMania 42 Nearly Done: Report

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque announced on May 23, 2025, that New Orleans will host the Money in the Bank premium live event on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This decision came after WWE reportedly changed its original plans to hold WrestleMania 42 in the city that year. Following days of speculation after the WrestleMania 42 change, this announcement clarifies part of WWE's future major event schedule. New Orleans was reportedly promised a future WrestleMania and has now been awarded the 2026 Money in the Bank event as a make-good. With WrestleMania 42 no longer set for New Orleans, Las Vegas quickly became the favorite to host the spectacle for what would be a second consecutive year. While WWE has yet to make an official announcement, Bryan Alvarez, speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, provided an update on the situation. Alvarez noted that a deal to bring WrestleMania 42 to Las Vegas is now complete after significant progress. "Vegas is very close to being a done deal for WrestleMania next year [2026]," Alvarez stated. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 20: Digital screens display WrestleMania logos during the Undisputed WWE Championship match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 20, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. MoreLas Vegas successfully hosted WrestleMania 41 in April 2025 at Allegiant Stadium, and a return in 2026 would mark the city's third time hosting WWE's grandest event, following WrestleMania IX in 1993. The hurdles previously reported for Las Vegas included potential scheduling conflicts with an unannounced concert at Allegiant Stadium and limited availability at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the accompanying "WWE World" fan festival. Alvarez's report suggests these issues have been, or are very close to being, resolved, paving the way for an official announcement from WWE regarding WrestleMania 42's location in the near future. The late August date for Money in the Bank in New Orleans is also a notable shift from the event's typical late spring/early summer placement on the WWE calendar. WWE fans will once again have to shell out big bucks to not only go to WrestleMania, but to stay in an already expensive city with hotel, flights and food. That is a lot to ask of fans, especially families. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
