Noel Gallagher 'writing new music' amid triumphant Oasis reunion
The singer, 58, and younger brother Liam Gallagher, 52, hadn't performed together since their 2009 split, meaning the world was, quite literally, sent into a frenzy last August when they confirmed the guns had 'fallen silent'.
Oasis have since played shows in Cardiff, Manchester, and London, treating fans to their biggest hits from across the band's discography, but many have questioned whether a new album could be on its way now that the band is back.
Now, a source has claimed to The Mirror that the musician is penning new music, but it has not been confirmed whether or not it is to be performed by Oasis.
'Noel has been inspired by playing to adoring crowds, who have supercharged his creativity,' an insider claimed.
'But he is undecided whether his work will become a new album for Oasis with Liam on vocals.'
The source said that Noel, who leads High Flying Birds and has also released music as a solo artist, is 'waiting to see how things play out' while performing alongside his brother.
'Noel has been in an absolutely fine mood… greeting staff with smiles, super relaxed and sharing his joy about the shows,' they continued.
'He's also been strumming some new tunes in his dressing room. But, from what he has said, these tracks are not yet aligned for any project.
'There is no Oasis studio return as yet agreed by the band, and they still have a long way to go. Things are great now, but who knows what will happen given the brothers' past troubles on the road.'
Earlier this year, however, the band's manager quelled hopes for a new Oasis record.
Speaking to Music Week, Alec McKinlay said: 'This is very much the last time around, as Noel's made clear in the press.
'It's a chance for fans who haven't seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to … there's no plan for any new music.'

'They could make another album,' he told The Mirror. 'I can't see why they wouldn't do it because I'm sure it'd be a worldwide hit to bring another album out after the reception they got.
'You know, what a retirement plan, if that's the last thing you do. I'm sure they'd go for the retirement plan. If they don't, they're mad!'
Oasis has released seven studio albums, with the last, Dig Out Your Soul, hitting shelves in 2008.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of their sophomore release, (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, which features the singles Some Might Say, Roll With It, Morning Glory, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, and Champagne Supernova.

Price also refers to a property - 'my London flat' - which she claims to own but which does not appear to have been traced by her bankruptcy trustees. The video was released today by Price's ex, former cage fighter Alex Reid', who said in a statement that 'the truth will now be heard'. The Mirror understands that the one minute and 38 second video, believed to have been filmed in late 2020, has been sent to Price's bankruptcy trustee who continues to 'seek realisations from various third parties'. Price has been celebrating the end of six years of 'hell' after being discharged from two bankruptcies and claiming it is a 'great achievement'. But a source said: 'A number of people have said that Katie deals in cash but this appears to be the first solid proof. There are lots of people owed a lot of money who now realise they are unlikely to ever get it. Katie gloating about it has stuck in the throat but this is not over.' Price was bankrupted twice - first in 2019 over debts totalling £3.5m, including £970,639 to HMRC and then again last March over a second £761,994 unpaid HMRC demand for money earned while she was already bankrupt. Creditors include Alex Reid who is owed £175,000 in High Court damages and costs he was awarded after Price revealed a sex tape he says was filmed without his consent. In the video, Price is heard claiming that she has 'extended' the bankruptcy 'because Alex Reid wants money from me and he won't be able to get it ... he's an a***hole". In a video statement released today, Reid said: 'Over the years you have seen countless stories by Katie Price directed at me, Peter, Keiran and others. Today I want to be clear. I am spear-heading a campaign to expose the truth. This isn't about gossip but about evidence. It's not about rumour, it's about reality. After years of silence, the time has finally come to reveal all.' He is seen watching the leaked video of Price and reacting, with comments like "this is unbelievable", "she just admitted she lied" and "has my legal team seen this?" Price said earlier this year on The Katie Price Show podcast: 'I'm not bankrupt anymore! I'm out of it, I'm out of both of them. The last six years have been hell - mentally and personally - everything has been hell. I've worked so hard to communicate and get rid of what caused all the trouble and I'm out of it. It's such a nice feeling not to be bankrupt anymore. I'm in control of everything now.' Alex Reid's post today marks the latest escalation between Price and her exes. Last week, on Instagram, Peter Andre posted: "For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today. He revealed that Princess and Junior, his children with Price, were put in his care by the family courts. He also cited court cases in 2011 and 2014 where Price had to pay damages over "false claims'. He added: 'The same falsehoods are being repeated today. Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months." In response, mum-of-five Price she would not be drawn into 'tit for tat comments' but added: 'I know I will always be seen as a sinner. That's fair. I allowed myself to fall into a reliance on drugs and alcohol. At times I was not the mother I should have been while I struggled with mental illness. I have been at times a poor friend, an awful sibling, and an untrustworthy partner. I've self-medicated, been unfaithful, damaged myself and those that I love.'

Oasis fans claim gig-goer 'ruined' experience for others with bizarre act
An Oasis fan has been branded 'hilarious' after she was caught on video singing along to the band at their reunion gig in Dublin this weekend in a high-pitched opera voice Oasis concluded their 14-show tour of the UK and Ireland as part of their Live '25 reunion tour over the weekend with two sold-out shows at Croke Park in Dublin.
