Daniel Brocklebank's 'heartbroken' partner has launched a stinging attack on Coronation Street - insisting his soap exit 'isn't his decision and swiped that ' ITV are making a huge mistake'.
News that the actor, 45 - who plays Billy Mayhew in the show - would be leaving Weatherfield in a 'sensational storyline' broke on Friday (23 May) morning.
According to The Sun Daniel will wave goodbye to the Cobbles in 2026.
Daniel's boyfriend Jordan Coulthard took to his Instagram story to share his thoughts on the decision - and he certainly didn't hold back.
Jordan said on social media: 'Nothing to say. Not his decision. Huge mistake.
'I can't believe we are having this conversation. No words can express how heartbroken I am for him.

'He will be magnificent.'
In another picture of Daniel posing as his alter-ego, he added: 'Utter madness.'
Daniel also took to Instagram after the news broke, sharing a snap of him as the vicar with the caption: 'Bye bye Billy,' and a red love heart.
MailOnline contacted Coronation Street for comment.
Meanwhile an insider revealed: 'Dan will be involved in a major storyline which will see Billy exit the cobbles in 2026. Details are being kept under wraps at this stage.'
Dan Brocklebank said of his departure: 'I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life.
'I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not looked forward to going into work.
'I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds.'
Producer Kate Brooks added: 'Billy will be involved in a major storyline over the coming months, which will see him tested in ways he never imagined, as friendships and his faith are pushed to the limit.
'We're incredibly sad to bid farewell to Dan, who has been fantastic in some of Corrie's biggest storylines over the past few years, most notably Paul's MND.
'An actor of immeasurable talent and skill, and an absolute treasure behind the scenes - he will be missed by all of us on the cobbles.'
Daniel shot to fame in the 90s and has landed a number of TV roles over the years.
He took on the role of Billy Mayhew in 2014.
But he has been in various other TV shows before that, including Casualty, Doctors, Emmerdale, The Bill Holby City and Waterloo Road.
After taking on the role of Billy, Daniel appeared as Carl Saunders in WPC 56, Lord Chancellor in Admiral and Brian Grey in Midsomer Murders.
Daniel also played Jules in Soft Lad, Delin in Native and James Anderson in The Confessions of Dorian Gray.
It comes after Colson Smith's last scenes as Craig Tinker on Coronation aired earlier this week.
The actor, 26 - who is best known for playing PC Tinker in the soap - appeared on ITV's This Morning to talk about his departure from the beloved programme.
Recalling the moment he was told that he no longer had a job on Coronation Street, Colson said: 'I've been in that building since I was 12. I know how it works. It's like any work place, you pick up on vibes, you pick up on things..
'I knew, I had a meeting at 7pm one night after work.
'I was in the Rovers all day, I was sat there kind of not saying anything, but my brain was like "I know what's coming tonight!".
'I told Jack and Ben, my two best mates at work, tonight's the night, I'm getting binned, that's what we call it.
'I was like tonight's the night, will you be there for me.
'They were there and I went up to boss, she looked at me and went "This isn't going to be an easy conversation."

Salman Rushdie believes authors should worry about AI when it can write funny books, stating AI currently lacks a sense of humor. Speaking at the Hay Festival, Rushdie admitted he has never tried using AI and prefers to ignore its existence. The event marked Rushdie's most high-profile UK appearance since the 2022 on-stage stabbing in the US, with heightened security measures in place. Rushdie mentioned it was important for him and his wife to revisit the site of the attack, and he expressed being "over" the incident. Rushdie has faced threats since the 1988 publication of ' The Satanic Verses,' which led to a fatwa calling for his execution by Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini.

However, it was magician Harry who emerged victorious, securing the coveted 2025 Britain's Got Talent title. (Image: ITV) (Image: ITV) For his routine, Harry performed an impressive magic trick that involved a video of him skydiving. In the clip, he correctly guessed each of the judges' cards, as well as on stage. As part of the magic trick, Harry had 50 pieces of paper, each with a word describing his BGT experience. Simon picked one, and Harry correctly guessed that the piece of paper said 'dream' at the end. However, viewers were quick to share their theories on how he managed the impressive feat. Meanwhile, other fans were left in awe, praising the talented magician. Twitter was buzzing with varied reactions to the #BGTFinal magician's performance, as one person posted: "How much AI on the #BGTFinal magician's video?", another questioned the magic by commenting: "Not my cup tea this AI magic #BGTFinal", and one simply stated: "AI #BGTFinal". There were sceptics too, with tweets such as "#BGT he can see the card in the camera" and "They have all put their card on the top #BGT." The method behind Harry's astounding magic act remains a mystery, yet it left many viewers gobsmacked. Admirers of Harry's act were not shy to express their support, with someone remarking: "I'm not usually a fan of magicians but this guy is brilliant and really enjoyable to watch #BGTFinal", while others showed their backing with statements like: "I dont care what anyone says but Harry Moulding deserves to win. All my votes goes to him #BGTFinal" and "Really want harry to win he's amazing #BGTfinal." In an earlier episode, following a standout performance, Harry secured KSI's Golden Buzzer, catapulting him straight into the final, where he surprised his girlfriend—and the audience—with an onstage marriage proposal.

EastEnders fans predict recast after huge character is rumoured to return – and it's a familiar face

EASTENDERS fans reckon a recast is on the cards with a very familiar face taking over. BBC viewers are convinced a legendary Walford resident is making a comeback. 4 4 EastEnders favourite Max Bowden is set for a dramatic return as Ben Mitchell - months after his shock exit from the soap. The actor, who played the troubled Mitchell for five years, left Albert Square last year after Ben was extradited to the US for credit card fraud. The Sun has revealed Max could be back on screen sooner than fans think, with bosses lining him up for a guest stint - and a possible full-time comeback on the cards. A source said that the soap's new producer Ben Wadey had a "list of characters he wanted to bring back" after taking over from Chris Clenshaw, with Ben Mitchell being one of them. But fans think the next actor to play Ben should be Daniel Delaney, the actor who portrayed a younger version of Phil in two spin off episodes. Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: "Not only is he the spitting image of Steve McFadden but he's also a fantastic young actor too. "It wouldn't be the first time someone has played two characters in the same show either." Daniel Delaney played a younger Phil Mitchell in the flashback episodes during Phil's psychosis storyline. The actor was praised for both his resemblance to Steve McFadden and his powerful performance. The episode even won the award for Best Single Episode at this year's British Soap Awards. Coronation Street and Emmerdale humiliated at British Soap Awards as rival soap wins EIGHT gongs EastEnders managed to secure a total of eight wins in its 40th anniversary year. Meanwhile, addressing his EastEnders exit last year, Max Bowden admitted he was suffering from burnout and knew it was time to step away. 'The important thing was my time was ready. I was very tired, and like I said, I wasn't me, I wasn't,' he said candidly. 'The Max sat in front of you today was kind of a ghost - and they recognised that. I recognised that.' He continued: "I did nearly six hundred episodes in five years, which is a hell of a lot, and it was time for a rest. "The character was tired, I was tired, they [the producers] were probably tired of me being tired. "From an honest perspective, I think yeah, a lot of it was that I needed to go for a bit. "I needed to go work on me, get myself back to a place of really good mental health, focus on healing and also be a dad." 4
