SUV crashes into restaurant during food influencers' review: Watch video
Patrick Blackwood told USA TODAY in a statement that he and fellow creator Nina Santiago were eating salmon sliders at Cuvée's Culinary Creations in Houston when an SUV crashed into the glass window next to them.
"Tomorrow Is Not Promised," Santiago, also known as @ninaunrated online, wrote in an Instagram post.
The video shows the duo sitting on the same side of the booth when the vehicle struck the restaurant, resulting in broken glass shattering over them. Blackwood, who was sitting closer to the window, pushed Santiago out of the way.
According to documents from the Harris County Sheriff's Office obtained by Chron, the incident happened on the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 16 when a motorist thought she had placed her SUV in park, but didn't, and the vehicle "rolled into the business."

'This could've been our last meal'
According to Blackwood, the two did not have any life-threatening injuries, noting only minor scratches. Santiago shared the photos of her in the hospital after the incident.
"This experience showed who truly matters; life's too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you this could've been our last meal," she wrote.
Blackwood and Santiago were filming for their YouTube food and eating channel, Unrated Ex Files, which has more than 20,000 subscribers.
Cuvée's Culinary Creations reposted the video on their Instagram story on Monday, Aug. 18.
"It was definitely a crazy weekend at Cuvée's," the restaurant said. "We're just thanking God everyone is safe!"

He walked his red carpet debut this year in a Hugo Boss ensemble, a brand for which he is an ambassador. Calvin Klein's collaboration with Mingyu is not its first foray into K-pop. It previously hired stars like BTS's Jungkook, Blackpink's Jennie, and several members of NewJeans. Mingyu, too, has been a Calvin Klein mainstay. He appeared in two of the brand's previous campaigns — Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Calvin Klein is crucial to keeping international customers happy. According to an earnings report by its parent company, PVH Corp, about 69% of its total sales in 2024, or about $2.48 billion, came from its international business. Calvin Klein's North America sales in 2024 totaled $1.12 billion. The brand's partnership with Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny was another international collaboration that paid off hugely. Calvin Klein's video of Bad Bunny's, in which he wears the brand's cotton stretch underwear and dances to the tune of his song EoO, has been viewed 32.6 million times as of press time.

Singer Tamar Braxton reveals she 'almost died' after bloody facial injury
Tamar Braxton is coping with a recent health scare. The "Celebrity Big Brother" winner, 48, took to her Instagram story on Aug. 19 to share that she'd broken her nose, lost "some teeth" and experienced impaired mobility over the weekend. "I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can't even really talk anymore I'm so weak," she wrote. "I almost died Sunday.
