Here Are 11 Popular Fan Castings For Movies That Would Be Almost Too Perfect, And 5 More That Make Approximately Zero Sense
I know it's not just me. We all have that one actor that we just know in our hearts would be perfect for that one role. And while we can only dream of making our own movies ourselves, it doesn't stop us from insisting to anyone who listens that we would make fantastic casting directors.
Once in a while, I'll stumble across a fan casting so perfect that I have to put my phone down and take a lap around my room. But sometimes, I'll see a fan casting so criminal it makes me question my entire faith in the film industry. So, for our viewing pleasure, I've rounded up some of my faves, and some bonus ones that are just outrageous. Let's dive in!
1. Ana De Armas as Evelyn Hugo, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
2. Elizabeth Gillies as Megara, Hercules
Gilbert Carrasquillo / GC Images
This one's got the co-sign from Ariana Grande, and she couldn't be more correct.
3. Hunter Schafer as Zelda, The Legend of Zelda
This, plus Morgan Davies as Link. I know you see the vision.
4. Caleb McLaughlin as Miles Morales, Spider-Verse
6. Nico Hiraga as Daisuke, Mouthwashing
Frazer Harrison / Getty Images, Wrong Organ
This might just be me and a handful of others, but it keeps me up at night.
7. Jenny Slate as Hange Zoë, Attack on Titan
John Nacion / FilmMagic, Wit Studio, Netflix
Netflix, I'm on the phone. Pick up.
8. Kit Harington as John Marston, Red Dead Redemption 2
Cindy Ord / Getty Images, Rockstar Games
9. Josh Heuston as Xaden, Fourth Wing
Brendon Thorne / Getty Images, Red Tower Books/ Entangled Publishing / Via barnesandnoble.com
10. Avantika as Silena Beauregard, Percy Jackson and the Olympians
11. Jake Gyllenhaal as Rafe, Uncharted
Kristina Bumphrey / Variety via Getty Images, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Playstation Studios
And now, the ones that have me scratching my head. These are all real fan castings that I've seen online, I swear.
1. Zendaya as Moana, Moana
Moana is famously Polynesian. And while I love Zendaya, she is famously not.
2. Margot Robbie as Rapunzel, Tangled
I beg, Ms. Robbie is more than just her hair color.
3. Gal Gadot as Talia Al-Ghul, Batman
4. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Cyborg, Teen Titans

Michael Bloomberg bought his daughter a $4M Hamptons home
It's been a big week for Georgina Bloomberg — and she has so much more to come. Not only did the 41-year-old equestrian daughter of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg take to Instagram late last week to share news of her near-term pregnancy, but she also just became the new owner of an East End home. Indeed, she's the secret owner of a Hamptons waterfront residence located just minutes from her father's palatial estate, sources told Gimme Shelter exclusively. The May 30 beach house purchase comes as the billionaire heiress — also an animal rights activist and philanthropist — and her longtime love, finance whiz Justin Waterman, are about to become parents together for the first time. Advertisement '2 week countdown begins today. I cannot wait to meet you baby girl,' Bloomberg told her 100,000 Instagram followers. Bloomberg also shares a child, Justin — born in 2013 — with her former love Ramero Quintana, an Argentine Olympic show jumping rider. 16 Bloomberg is an accomplished equestrian. Rise Media The new home is on Cold Point Road in Southampton and comes with 100 feet on the water. It was last asking $4.29 million and went into contract quickly — closing for $4 million, according to records. It was an all-cash deal, sources said. Designed by acclaimed local architect John David Rose, the home overlooks Cold Spring Pond and Peconic Bay beach. The sale sets a new pricing benchmark for the Cold Spring Point Beach Community. Advertisement There's no pool at the house, but there is an outdoor shower — and a boat dock in the backyard. And if Bloomberg doesn't feel like meandering over to her dad's estate, her home has access to community tennis courts, as well as pickleball and basketball courts, along with beach access. But she can still bring the kids to see grandpa — and quite easily, too. 16 A screened-in sitting room looks to wide views. Rise Media 16 There's also space for patio seating. Rise Media Advertisement 16 The grounds offer serene settings for her and her growing family. Rise Media 16 Kids of all ages will love the sandy beach. Rise Media The charming abode is just 'five minutes' away from her father's estate, which is known as Ballyshear. That ivy-covered Georgian mansion is 22,000 square feet and overlooks Peconic Bay. It was built in 1910, spans a massive 35 acres, and is adjacent to the National Golf Links of America in Shinnecock Hills, which has hosted many US Opens. Michael Bloomberg, a member of the club, plays there regularly. The size of Michael Bloomberg's estate makes his daughter's new home seem relatively tiny by comparison. Built in 2012, her two-story home is still a very roomy 3,000 square feet. Advertisement It features four bedrooms and 4.5 baths, and sits on one third of an acre. The home's open floor plan and large windows showcase bay and pond views 'from every room,' according to the listing. It all opens to a great room with a stone fireplace — and leads to a chef's kitchen, a butler's pantry and a dining area. The second floor features the primary suite with a covered porch ideal for morning coffee at sunrise. There's an additional 760 square feet of storage space in the attic. The listing rep was Douglas Elliman's Brenda Giufurta, who declined to comment.

George Clooney roasts his brunette hair: 'Midlife crisis'
It'll be one fine day for George Clooney when he can go back to his roots. It's still dark on top, but it's gray at the bottom,' he confessed while on 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' on Monday. 'So you get that really nice-looking grow-out of gray.' Clooney wore a hat on the show, telling Myers, 51, he wanted to 'hide' his hair transformation. 'The last show is Sunday,' he added. 'We do a matinee, and then by the time we go to the Tonys that night, it'll be gone.' Meyers told the 'Ticket to Paradise' star that his hair looked 'great on stage,' as Clooney sarcastically quipped: 'Sure.' 8 George Clooney attends the 78th Annual Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Event. Meanwhile, the 'Wolfs' alum expressed his wife, Amal Clooney, found his new look 'funny,' but he did note she will 'be glad when it's gone.' 8 Opening night of 'Good Night, and Good Luck' on Broadway. 'Good Night, and Good Luck,' which opened on April 3, marked Clooney's first time on Broadway as he portrays Edward R. Murrow, the journalist who wrote the 1954 exposé piece on Senator Joseph McCarthy. The play is adapted from the 2005 movie of the same name. It's nerve-wracking and there's a million reasons why it's dumb to do.' 'It's dumb to do because you're coming out and saying, 'Well, let's try to get an audience to take this ride with you back to 1954.'' 8 George Clooney and Danya Taymor attend the 78th Annual Tony Awards Nominees Luncheon. 'When I was 12 years old, my dad was working at WKRC in Cincinnati,' the star reflected. 'I would run the teleprompter.' Having it be his first time in live theater, Clooney stated about the audience, 'I'm not looking at them.' He teased: 'I'm putting my wife in the very, very, very back.'

Jared Verse challenges Aaron Donald to work out with him: 'He's not ready for that'
Jared Verse challenges Aaron Donald to work out with him: 'He's not ready for that' 'That little 500 bench he had. He's not ready for that. I'll be moving weight." There probably aren't many people who can keep up with Aaron Donald in the gym. He's a workout warrior who's always lived in the weight room, even now that he's retired from the NFL. Unsurprisingly, Jared Verse isn't afraid to poke the bear. He wants to go toe-to-toe with Donald in the gym, challenging the future Hall of Famer during a recent interview on Adam Schefter's podcast. Schefter asked if Verse ever gets to work out with Donald and this was his response, calling out the three-time Defensive Player of the Year for his 'little Instagram posts' in the weight room. 'No, he don't want that. He's not ready for that. He's not ready for that,' Verse said. 'That little 500 bench he had. He's not ready for that. I'll be moving weight. I'll be moving weight. Whenever he's ready for a workout – I'll be seeing his little Instagram posts, the dumbbell benches. He can get at me whenever he's ready.' Verse is the ultimate trash-talker and his comments about Donald were (mostly) in good fun, but you can bet he isn't afraid to get in the weight room with AD. He'd gladly take on Donald in a lifting contest and after seeing him plant 365-pound tackle Jordan Mailata on his back, he's got plenty of power in that 6-foot-4 frame. Now we just need Donald to visit the Rams' facility and get these two Defensive Rookie of the Year winners in the gym together. Follow Rams Wire on X, Facebook and Threads for more coverage!
