The airport scored a staggering 98.57 out of 100 overall, from readers sharing the airports that they remember the most.
Istanbul Airport originally opened in 2018 and inside boasts a wealth of amazing - and some bizarre - things to do, as well as a 'triple runway'.
The airport is the first in Europe to have a triple runway operation system.
It essentially means the airport can have three flights take off or land at the same time and as a result, increases the airport's hourly traffic capacity from 120 to 148 aircraft movements.
Inside the airport, there seems to be endless things to do, but if you want some rest before your flight you could cosy up in a sleep pod.
In total there are 44 sleeping cabins, with pillows and blankets also available for purchase.
But they don't come cheap, costing between €7 (£6.06) and €17 (£14.72) per hour.
And there are other pods too, like business pods if you need to catch up on some work calls.
For passengers aged between 15 and 30 years old, there is a Youth Lounge Area with games including a PlayStation, music, snacks and four hours of free Wi-Fi.
Or for adults wanting a little vacation R&R, there is a spa offering wellness treatments and massages.
I visited the pretty city that straddles both Asia and Europe
For those who prefer to explore history there is also an airport museum with 316 works.
Alternatively, you can head to one of the airport's TV-watching areas to watch a show or movie or grab a book at the Airport Library - home to around 2,000 books.
Amongst other facilities at the airport are showers and playgrounds for kids with slides and swings.
And there is even a therapy dog called Kuki, who travellers can play with.
After exploring all the airport has to offer, if you want some fresh air there are also two fresh air terraces that are non-smoking areas outside.

And there are cheap flights to Istanbul too, with a return as little as £50 with Wizz Air

Then there are the usual things you find at airports too, such as shops and restaurants.
Corporate communications director for the airport, Gökhan Şengül said: "It is especially meaningful for us that Turkish culture known for its hospitality, refinement, and service that exceeds global standards stands out through our airport.
"In doing so, we take great pride in representing not only iGA, but also Istanbul and our country's rich cultural heritage on the international stage, while contributing to its brand value."
The airport was also named the best in the world in the 2024 table.
Many airlines fly to the airport including Wizz Air - which offers return flights to Istanbul for as little as £50.
What it's like to travel through Istanbul Airport
THE Sun's Assitant Travel Editor Sophie Swietochowski visited the airport last year.
If there's one airport I wouldn't mind being seriously delayed in, it's Istanbul in Turkiye.
The place is vast and shiny with enough food (for any budget), shopping (think chic clothes and hand-painted kitchenware), and entertainment (there's even a library home to 2,000 books) to keep you occupied for hours on end.
Better still, if your flight gets cancelled you won't even need to endure the faff of security again as the large Yotel sits airside.
I visited last year and couldn't have been more grateful for the size of the place, meaning I could whizz straight past the screaming kids in the massive Lego store and head straight to the food courts where I had no problem finding a quiet seat for a drink – Çay Saati has traditional Turkish tea.
In fact many stores in the airport blend Turkish traditions with the modern world and you could certainly get a flavour of Turkiye without ever leaving the terminal.
The size of the place comes with a downside, though. Make sure you keep an eye out for your gate as it will take you a while to walk there – and try not to get lost on the way.
A summer holiday warning has been issued over airport drop-off fees which are to surge by 33 per cent – here's how to avoid them and pay nothing.
Plus, another European country will allow Brits to use much faster airport e-gates.

Eurostar-style train to directly connect UK with Berlin and two more cities

Whether it's buzzing nightlife, an inclusive LGBTQ+ scene, historical sites or just a really good Currywurst, Berlin arguably has everything you'd need from a city break. And now, if you're looking for a greener way to travel to the German capital, plans for a direct train from London have been announced – and it could significantly chop journey times. Last week, Keir Starmer signed a 'first of its kind' treaty with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, which, as well as strengthening the relationship between the UK and Germany, also plans to establish a direct route between the capital and three German cities. Building the Eurostar-style links between London, Frankfurt and Cologne will be first on the list, while Berlin will be the final stop added across the roughly decade-long plan. At the moment, those looking to travel between the two cities need to take a Eurostar train from St Pancras to Bruxelles-Midi, changing for a service to Cologne and, finally, to Berlin Hauptbahnhof. While there are undoubtedly stunning views along the way, it takes between 10 and 11 hours door-to-door. Frankfurt isn't much better, as it can take up to nine hours, though it's hoped that the new route will shorten this to around five. This isn't the first time officials have looked at establishing a direct route between London and Frankfurt. In 2010, Deutsche Bahn tried (and failed) with proposals for the Inter City Express, but it shelved the plans after it encountered a mass of red tape and complications, including differences in train voltage, crossing borders and even tunnels. While we don't have any specifics right now, the plans have the potential to change how millions of people travel between the UK and Germany, with an estimated 3,200,000 Brits having visited in 2023. Transport secretary Heidi Alexander said that the government is 'determined to put Britain at the heart of a better-connected continent,' describing it as a 'landmark agreement.' 'A new task force will bring our nations closer together and create new opportunities for tourism, business and cultural exchange, building on a landmark deal we signed earlier this year to explore introducing direct services to Switzerland,' she added. And, as well as improving the transport links between the two, it's hoped that the London-Berlin line will support the economy in creating jobs and strengthen existing trade links, both of which are 'central' to the UK's 'Plan for Change.' Need inspiration on how to fill your time once your train arrives? Berlin is famous for its nightlife scene – but be warned, the Berghain is notoriously difficult to get into. Rumour has it that if you wear all-black, your chances of getting in are higher. If you don't manage to charm the bouncers, though, there's also the famous KitKat, a hedonistic sex club complete with a swimming pool and countless sex swings, or more PC options available at SchwuZ and Sisyphos. If you do go out on a Friday, though, you could end up partying until Monday, as the famous Berlin clubbing mantra goes. First opening its doors in 1985, the Schwules Museum (AKA, the Gay Museum) has long been a mainstay for documenting LGBTQ+ life. Found in one of the city's historic queer neighbourhoods, Regenbogenkiez is known as the Rainbow District, and has been a hub for LGBTQ+ Berliners since the 1910s. Writer Christopher Isherwood famously moved to Berlin in 1929, and local theatre Metropol (formerly the Neues Schauspielhaus) was a favourite haunt of his. Later transformed into the club, throughout the 1980s it was frequented by the likes of Depeche Mode, Morrissey, and the Human League. When it comes to foodie spots, if you're after a life-changing Currywurst, you'll be sure to find it at Konnopke's Imbiß, which started off as a sausage cart and later went on to serve East Berlin's first Currywurst in 1960. And of course, Burgermeister is known for its mouthwatering menu. If you want our recommendation, it has to be the chilli-cheeseburger. History buffs will be well acquainted with Checkpoint Charlie, a central crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin throughout the Cold War that famously appeared in multiple spy films, including James Bond's Octopussy and The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. While the final crossing between the two divided cities was made in June 1990, these days it's possible to visit the original booth that stood there at the Allied Museum. A photograph of a US soldier towers above the site, and there's more information on display at the Mauer (which means wall in German) Museum, as well as the Trabi Museum and Cold War BlackBox. More Trending Housed inside the former home of the East German secret police, the Stasi Museum displays the various objects used by the Stasi to control the residents of the DDR, including bugs, hidden cameras, and propaganda. A hugely emotive experience, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe documents the horror of the Nazi regime. The granite network is comprised of 2,711 concrete slabs measuring 19,000 square metres, with each stone remembering the 6,000,000 Jewish people who were murdered during the Holocaust. Turkey rule change on eSIMs catches travelers off guard

By Holidaymakers heading to Turkey this summer should be aware of a new rule that could catch out millions. Hordes of travellers visit the transcontinental country every year for its hot weather, sublime landscapes and beautiful beaches. But those planning to make the trip soon need to make sure they prepare their mobile phone for the holiday. He said: 'Turkey's sudden ban on eSIMs has caught many travellers off guard, and it's vital that UK holidaymakers heading there this summer take action before they fly. 'eSIMs have become the go-to option for Brits wanting affordable mobile data abroad without the hassle of physical sims or costly roaming.' The expert added: 'But now, travellers will no longer be able to activate a new eSIM once they arrive in Turkey.' 'To avoid getting caught out, UK travellers should ensure their eSIM is fully downloaded and activated before leaving the UK. 'This means setting up your digital SIM while still on UK networks, and confirming it's working properly before departure. 'Otherwise, you could be left without internet access the moment you land, which can be a serious issue if you rely on your phone for maps, transport, or bookings.' The change means those travelling to Turkey need to buy and activate the eSIM card before they arrive to avoid being impacted by the new rule. While those living in Turkey won't be able to buy eSIMs from networks who don't meet the requirements unless they are outside of the country. Holafy, an eSIM company, emphasises that the change impacts residents more than travellers. They said: 'The eSIM ban is primarily targeted at Turkish residents buying eSIMs for international travel in Turkey.' While they also recommended saving the eSIM QR prior to arrival, to ensure set up is smooth, and even downloading a secure VPN if needed. 'Without a VPN, you will not be able to manage your eSIM solution digitally, check for remaining data usage, or contact customer service,' they added.

Martin Lewis issues important passport warning ahead of school holidays

Martin Lewis was back in the This Morning studio today, as he offered his expert advice during the phone in segment - and there was one urgent warning he relayed about passports Martin Lewis was back on This Morning with his expert advice today (July 22) and issued an important warning to those getting ready to jet off on holiday this summer. ‌ As schools are out for the term, many families will be jetting off for their annual trip - but Martin Lewis wanted to make sure they weren't caught out as they arrive at the airport. ‌ Caller Alan gave the show a call for some passport advice, as he revealed he'd be jetting off to Kuala Lumpur in September and then on to Bali. However, his passport expires in July 2026. Martin revealed he would be fine for the six month rule, but later asked the important question: "Will your passport be over 10 years old on the day you go to Indonesia?" ‌ Alan then revealed that the date of issue was 25 January 2016, with his passport expiring on 25th July 2026. Martin then responded: "None of this is an issue. I don't know the rules for Indonesia off the top of my head - but you've got over six months on your passport on the day you enter, and your passport is 10 years old on the day you enter - you're fine." Many countries require at least six months validity on a passport for entry to be granted - and many Brits have been caught out and turned away from the airport due to this rule. ‌ For those travelling to Europe - many have been caught out by the 10-year-rule. UK travellers were previously able to carry up to nine months from an old passport over on to a new one. But post-Brexit, EU countries will now not accept passports issued more than 10 years ago. If your passport was issued after 2018 - there's no need to worry about the rule, as they are valid for exactly 10 years. ‌ However, if a UK passport was issued before September 2018, it could be valid for up to 10 years and nine months. It means some people have passports that have not officially expired, and are valid for travel in the rest of the world, but not in parts of Europe as they were issued more than ten years ago However, every country is different and holiday goers should visit foreign travel advice for the country you are visiting to find out what the entry requirements are. Martin's warning came after he made a huge career switch up, making his comedy debut last night. BBC comedy series Mandy returned, with Martin making his acting debut. The programme, which stars actress Dianne Morgan as protagonist Mandy Carter aired last night on BBCOne. ‌ As he posted a clip of his debut on Instagram, fans were left in stitches, as they praised the star for his acting skills. "This is literally so amazing. Not only because I love what you do, but also because I am an aesthetic injector myself. It's like my two favourite worlds colliding," penned one, while another said: "Hilarious! How many takes did it take?!"
