EXCLUSIVE Moment easyJet passenger yells 'I've got a bomb' on packed flight before hero pins him down
Police have arrested a 41-year-old man after a disturbance on a 7am Easyjet flight from Luton to Glasgow.
Videos of the incident were posted online and are now being assessed by counter terrorism police officers.
One video was reportedly taken from a flight from London Gatwick to Glasgow Airport this morning.
The man is seen in the video stood up near the back of the aircraft.
He shouted: 'Stop the plane. Find the bomb on the plane.
'Death to America. Death to Trump.'
He is then heard shouting 'Allahu Akbar' three times. A phrase which means 'God is the greatest' in Arabic.
A hero passenger from row 21 then tackles the man to the ground and held him on the floor.
Another man sat on top of the man to restrain him. He said: 'Sit down don't move.'
In another clip, people could be heard nervously asking 'who is he with', 'does he have his phone'.
The cabin crew could be heard announcing that the plane would be 'landing very shortly'.
Passengers asked the man if he had anything in his bag, asking 'do you have a bomb.'
They then asked the man if he had been drinking or taking drugs, adding 'yes you have, because your mouth is dry'.
He was quizzed by two men. One asked: 'Why did you say you wanted to bomb this plane?'
The man replied: 'I wanted to send a message to Trump.'
The other man said: 'Well Trump isn't on this f****** plane. There are families on this plane you s******'
The passengers then managed to locate the man's bag.
The fellow passengers asked if he had anything in his pockets.
Another panicked woman said: 'Check everywhere, not just his pockets, check his body.'
They took his wallet and managed to find his ID.
A woman is then heard crying as she takes an emotional phone call with a loved one.
Upon landing in Glasgow, police were caught on video arrested the man, while he remained lying down in the aisle of the plane.
The officer told the man: 'You calm now, are you going to be calm when I stand you up.'
The man replied: 'I'm calm now.'
As he is escorted off the plane, the man asks for his 'phone and wallet', which recieves a cold response from passangers who tell him to 'f*** off'.
Some manage to find some humour and laugh at the man's request, with one heard saying 'it is like a comedy sketch'.
A spokesperson for Easyjet said: 'Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow this morning was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behaviour onboard.
'easyJet's crew are trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other customers is not compromised at any time.
'The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always easyJet's highest priority.'
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow around 8.20am on Sunday, 27 July, 2025.
'Officers boarded the plane on its arrival and a 41-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody. Enquiries are continuing.

Megyn Kelly slams Trump administration over Epstein scandal and warns them: 'You reap what you sow'
Megyn Kelly has no 'sympathy' for the Trump administration after it came under heavy fire over its handling of the Jeffrey Epstein crisis. Speaking on Monday's episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, Kelly said it was 'hard to have a lot of sympathy' for the administration due to its numerous missteps on the issue. She specifically pointed to Attorney General Pam Bondi's decision to issue a memo insisting Epstein did not not have a 'client list' and killed himself in jail. 'Whoever told the [Justice Department] that this could somehow be buried and that people would move on and that the Trump administration could get away with that ridiculous two-page summation of "You're not getting any more information because there's no there there" should be fired,' Kelly said. 'That person is an idiot and didn't understand the Republican base - certainly the core MAGA base.' Kelly noted that Trump appointed Kash Patel and Dan Bongino, two outspoken supporters of the theory that Epstein was murdered in jail to protect his powerful associates, to lead the FBI. 'And by the way, of course [the MAGA base's] hackles have been up and their interest in this story has been at a peak in large part because of the two men Trump put in charge of his FBI - you know, there were no bigger proponents of there being more to the Epstein story than Kash Patel and Dan Bongino,' she said. 'And it's actually one of the reasons why the Republicans were so thrilled to see them get put in charge of the FBI. So, you reap what you sow.' Kelly went on to comment on Epstein's accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, currently speaking with investigators from her Florida prison. The former Fox News host branded the move a weak attempt by the administration to get on top of the scandal, while also calling its bid to release grand jury transcripts from Epstein's criminal proceedings another empty gesture. Trump made the move knowing the court was not likely to release the transcripts, Kelly claimed. As for Maxwell, she said: 'Can we really trust anything this woman says when she - it's either this: give something up or someone up, or spend 20 years in jail? 'So, they've really created this own pickle for themselves and we still haven't had a presser by Pam Bondi or even a long-form interview. 'So, it's hard to have a lot of sympathy for the complaints of why won't this go away.' The Justice Department memo enraged many in the MAGA movement, who have criticized the administration for what they see as backtracking on past promises to release classified information pertaining to Epstein's case. As calls from Congress for more information increase, Trump has attempted to deflect the controversy - dismissing it as a politically driven 'witch hunt.' Asked about the case during a recent Oval Office appearance, Trump said: 'I don't really follow that too much,' before turning to unrelated claims about the Obama administration and Russian interference in the 2016 election. The case is also causing political pushback for Republicans in Congress, including House Speaker Mike Johnson. Epstein died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal child sex trafficking charges. His close associate Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for facilitating Epstein's abuse of young girls. Trump was friends with Epstein for more than a decade. They had a falling out surrounding Epstein 'stealing' some of Trump's hired staff, the president claimed Monday.

Donald Trump departs golf course on final day of Scotland visit
Donald Trump has officially opened his new golf course in Aberdeenshire on the final day of his visit to Scotland A false alarm sparked a police cordon after a vehicle had to be searched outside the Menie Estate Trump met First Minister John Swinney who said he was 'pleasant company' It follows a meeting and press conference with Sir Keir Starmer on Monday Trump cut the ribbon on a second 18-hole course at his resort in Menie The President will fly back to the US on Air Force One on Tuesday evening During his trip he has made comments about the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, Epstein conspiracy theories and his love for Scotland Donald Trump has left his golf resort in the north of Scotland as he begins his journey home to the US. Trump boarded the Marine One helicopter at around 4.30pm after a false alarm sparked a cordon near the Menie Estate. Police Scotland assistant chief constable Emma Bond said a cordon was set up shortly after 3pm for checks on a vehicle. A search was carried out and nothing criminal was found. Marine One will take Trump to Lossiemouth, where he will board Air Force One to fly to Washington. It comes after he officially opened a new 18-hole course at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire on Tuesday morning. The US President teed off in celebration and led a round played by some famous guests. Trump thanked his son Eric, who he said had 'worked so hard' on creating the New Course at the resort. Eric Trump had earlier said he and the Trump International team had created an 'amazing masterpiece' at the New Course. The US President said his family had taken a 'beautiful piece of land, and made it much more beautiful'. Trump said he was looking forward to playing the course. 'We'll play it very quickly and then I go back to DC and we put out fires all over the world,' he said. 'We did one yesterday – you know we stopped the war. We've stopped about five wars. That's much more important than playing golf. As much as I like it, it's much more important.' Earlier, Trump met briefly with Scottish First Minister John Swinney for a one-to-one. The First Minister talked to the President about the war in Gaza, the Scottish economy, and oil and gas taxation, and they were joined by advisors, the President's second son, Eric Trump, and Donald Trump Jr. They did not discuss an exemption to tariffs for Scotch whisky on Tuesday because the leaders talked about it at length on Monday over dinner. The First Minister told Trump that Scotland was particularly concerned about Gaza's plight and that the president is in a unique position to move it on. On oil and gas, they agreed that the tax is too high at the moment. The leaders spoke for just over 15 minutes before posing together for pictures in front of a US flag and the saltire of Scotland. Swinney joined a small audience for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and Guy Kinnings, CEO of DP World Tour, said the list of illustrious guests was 'validation of the appeal of golf as sport and as an industry'. Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar, English football coach and former player Robbie Fowler, Italian football player and manager Gianfranco Zola, and Scottish former professional footballer Jim Leighton were among other big names at the event. It's the fifth day of the US President's private visit to Scotland, which has been described as a working holiday. After meeting with the Prime Minister on Monday, Trump cut the ribbon on the 18-hole course at Trump International Golf Links on the Menie Estate on Tuesday. Later, he's expected to return to Washington on Air Force One. Trump landed at Prestwick Airport on Friday evening and spent the weekend playing golf at his resort in Turnberry. On Sunday, Trump briefly met European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen and agreed to a trade deal setting a 15% tariff on most European Union goods. Trump said it was the 'biggest deal ever made'. On Monday, Prime Minister Keir Starmer travelled to Scotland to meet the US President. The leaders discussed the US-UK trade deal and the wars in Ukraine and Gaza. Trump and Sir Keir took part in what proved to be a lengthy press conference, with the president discussing a number of topics. Getty Images Donald Trump Prime Minister Keir Starmer speak prior to a bilateral meeting at the Trump Turnberry Golf Courses. The Republican Party leader spoke of his 'great love' for Scotland and said he wanted to see the nation 'thrive'. He returned to his long-running objections to wind turbines, branding them 'ugly monsters' and speaking of his admiration for North Sea oil and gas. Discussing the war in Ukraine, Trump said he was 'very disappointed' in Russian President Vladimir Putin and suggested he would bring forward a deadline for Russia to agree to a ceasefire. The US president called Sir Sadiq Khan a 'nasty person', which prompted Sir Keir to come to the defence of his 'friend' the London Mayor. Posting on his Truth Social network, on Tuesday, the President said: 'North Sea Oil is a treasure chest for the United Kingdom. The taxes are so high, however, that it makes no sense. They have essentially told drillers and oil companies that, 'we don't want you'. 'Incentivize the drillers, fast. A vast fortune to be made for the UK, and far lower energy costs for the people!' Trump will visit the UK again in September for an unprecedented second state visit.
