OUTRAGE 'Shame on racing' – Fury as Kieran Shoemark and Shes Perfect lose French 1000 Guineas appeal despite new video evidence
PUNTERS cried 'shame on racing' as not even new video evidence could save Shes Perfect and Kieran Shoemark in their French 1000 Guineas appeal.
Sun Racing's Matt Chapman post of footage of the closing stages of the Classic garnered hundreds of thousands of views.

Chappers and many others insisted the clip showed Shes Perfect did not come off a true line enough to deny Zarigana victory in the Longchamp race the weekend before last.
But French stewards stuck with their original decision to reverse placings and award the Aga Khan-owned Zarigana the race and £260,000 prize.
It is a devastating blow for trainer Charlie Fellowes and syndicate boss Basher Watts, who has showcased his journey with the star filly every step of the way.
But also for Shoemark, with the result capping off an incredibly trying few weeks for the jockey.

First he lost his gig as John and Thady Gosden's No1 rider after his effort on Field Of Gold in the 2000 Guineas.
That has led to him losing the leg up on the awesome grey colt for this Saturday's Irish 2000 Guineas as owners Juddmonte instead opted for the 'best in the business' round the Curragh.
Shoemark also missed out on a big ride on Roger Teal's Dancing Gemini in last weekend's Lockinge - with Ryan Moore being picked instead.
While it always looked a tough task getting the French stewards to change their mind, no one could blame Fellowes, Shoemark and Watts for giving it a go.

Freddy Brazier 'missing from brother Bobby's birthday party' amid family drama
Freddy Brazier's dad, Jeff, has reportedly taken legal action against the 20-year-old's nan, Jackiey Budden - who is Jade Goody's mum - in a bid to 'keep him safe' Freddy Brazier failed to turn up to his brother Bobby's birthday yesterday - according to reports - amid rumours of a feud in the family. Freddy, 20, is said to be living at his nan, Jackiey Budden's house, despite doting dad, Jeff Brazier, reportedly taking legal action against Jade Goody's mum in a bid to 'protect' his youngest son. On the weekend, Freddy appeared to defy his dad by posting a TikTok video of himself and Jackiey larking around in the sunshine in her garden in South London. And now it's been reported that he skipped his older brother Bobby's 22nd birthday on Monday. The Sun reports there was "sadness" at the bash after Freddy failed to appear, with a source claiming that Bobby spent the day with dad and stepmum, Kate. They reportedly said: "Bobby celebrated his birthday with dad Jeff and step mum Kate over the weekend. It was a really nice family occasion, but everyone really missed Freddie." Freddy was just four years old and his EastEnders actor brother Bobby was five when their mother Jade tragically died from cervical cancer in 2009. They have been raised by their doting dad, Jeff, who heartbreakingly admitted he didn't see much of his youngest son when the pair appeared in Celebrity Race Across the World last year. According to the Mail on Sunday, Freddy is now living with Jackiey at her flat in Bermondsey. Those reportedly close to the family told the publication: "Jeff was never going to keep Freddy away from his Nanny for very long – they've always had a strong bond. Jeff may hate her for all sorts of reasons going back many years, but Freddy loves her very much." The source added: "They had a great time together, playing with her dog and catching up at her flat – where he has often stayed over the years. Whatever Jeff hoped to achieve with his legal efforts, it hasn't worked." Freddy didn't appear to let reports of his dad's legal action against his nan affect him when he posted a video of himself dancing with Jackiey at the weekend. Despite his dad's concern about his relationship with Jackiey, 67, Freddy posted a TikTok video of the pair dancing in her garden in South London. Seen with his shirt off, sporting shorts, the model larked about in the sunshine while Jackiey, also in shorts, slippers and a mustard-coloured cardigan danced along. Captioning the clip, which concerned dad Jeff was bound to see, Freddy wrote: "#fyp #explore #freddybrazier #jackieybudden #dancetrend.' Responding to the post, one of the lad's followers said: 'She'll make you feel like you have a piece of your mum,' while a second added: 'There's just something about a Nana. That bond is important.'

Delacroix in pole position to lead Derby charge for Ballydoyle
The Lion In Winter spent the winter months at the head of ante-post lists for the premier Classic, and while an interrupted spring campaign and a sixth-place finish on his Dante Stakes comeback dented his reputation, the Sea The Stars colt has remained prominent in the betting. However, Delacroix – who has impressed in winning each of his two starts at Leopardstown so far this season – hardened as Derby favourite after trainer Aidan O'Brien said last week 'I would imagine Ryan will find it hard not to ride him'. Delacroix takes the Cashel Palace Hotel Derby Trial Stakes and cements claims for the Epsom Derby in June! ✅@waynemlordan | @Ballydoyle — Leopardstown RC (@LeopardstownRC) May 11, 2025 On a media Zoom call hosted by the Jockey Club on Tuesday, O'Brien was again asked if he expected Moore to side with the son of Dubawi, and said: 'I think so, it's very hard to know and obviously he doesn't have to make up his mind until 1pm tomorrow. 'Ryan will always ride the horse he thinks he has the best chance, that's always been his way regardless and that's the way it has to be. 'Ryan rides the horse we think is going to win, sometimes we're right and sometimes we're wrong, but he looks at their ability, where they are the suitability of the horse for the race and tries to get on the one he thinks is going to win. 'Obviously no one gets that right all the time, so we'll just have to see how it goes.' On whether he would try to sway Moore in one direction or another, he added: 'No, I think you have to be very clear thinking all the time, you have to make calculated decisions all the time and you can't let your heart rule your head. That's what we always try to do really.' O'Brien plans to fire a three-pronged assault in his bid for an 11th Derby success, with Delacroix and The Lion In Winter set to be joined by Chester Vase winner Lambourn. Wayne Lordan and Colin Keane will ride the two horses passed over by Moore. Delacroix has been ridden positively in his last couple of races and O'Brien expects similar tactics to be employed this weekend, saying: 'I'd imagine so, that will be Ryan's decision if he rides him. He's a straightforward horse and uncomplicated we think, so I would imagine if he does ride him he'll probably ride him forward. He'll decide that himself when the gates open. 'His sister by Galileo (Grateful) got a mile and six (furlongs) well and as everybody knows he's by Dubawi. You never know until you do it, but we always thought there was a good chance that he would get the mile and a half.' While The Lion In Winter appears likely to line up as the Ballydoyle second string, O'Brien believes he will take a big step forward from his Dante performance. He added: 'We think he's made good progress since York, which we obviously thought he would. He was only just ready to start that day and you're probably better off in a trial knowing that you're going to come forward and everything goes wrong, rather than running in a trial when you think you're fit and everything goes right. 'He was a bit fresh and a bit behind fitness-wise but everything has gone well since, we got a run into him, it looked like he was going to get a mile and a quarter well, he got a little bit of interference in the straight and Ryan looked after him. If he hadn't got that he might have been third and if he hadn't have run a little bit keen early he might have been closer. 'This is only going to be his second run and you'd imagine whatever he does he's going to come forward again.' The trainer will also be triple handed in Friday's Betfred Oaks, with Cheshire Oaks winner Minnie Hauk, Lingfield Oaks Trial scorer Giselle and Musidora Stakes victor Whirl appearing three of the biggest threats to Charlie Appleby's 1000 Guineas heroine Desert Flower. 'I'd imagine Ryan will probably ride Minnie Hauk, but obviously that could change if he changes his mind tomorrow,' O'Brien revealed. 'We liked her last year, she had two runs and won the second time. She's a lovely, straightforward filly and we think she's come forward loads from Chester.' On the importance of the two Epsom Classics, the trainer said: 'They're obviously vital, it's where the whole thoroughbred breed is gauged. 'The Derby and the Oaks are the most important races for colts and fillies of the year and for the three-year-old generation.'

"His energy on the Gogglebox sofa has always been pure positivity and very infectious, and bosses are hoping he'll bring that to the tent." Those who tuned into I'm A Celeb 2022 will remember how Babatunde kickstarted the show in epic fashion. He grappled with his fear of heights at the top of a huge tower on the Gold Coast, screaming in terror as he was faced with walking out on a thin plank high above the ground. It eventually proved too much and he yelled the words "I'm a celebrity... get me out of here." His signing for Bake Off follows our exclusive story that Molly-Mae will swap the high stakes world of fashion for the heat in the kitchen. She has been placed firmly in the spotlight since her break-up last year with Tommy Fury, which was chronicled in her Prime Video documentary, Molly-Mae: Behind it All. Their reunion was then captured on camera and published exclusively in The Sun, where they were seen kissing at a New Year's Eve event. The second half of her series, which landed last month, showed their reunion. Molly-Mae fans 'horrified' after spotting weird kitchen detail in latest episode of documentary - did you see it? Another reality TV star, Jojo Siwa, has also signed up for the Celebrity Bake Off, just weeks after starring on Celebrity Big Brother. The celebrity version of the Bake Off, whose participants have yet to be confirmed by C4, is being made just before filming of the "civilian" version. The show begins filming this summer with Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond returning to host as well as Paul Hollywood coming back to give the celebs some serious scrutiny in the tent. Channel 4 star Prue Leith has stepped back from all GBBO specials, with cooking expert, and pal, Caroline Waldegrave filling her shoes. Last year, The Sun revealed how Prue had made the decision to step back from the Great British Bake Off specials and focus on the regular series. Channel 4 declined to comment and have yet to confirm any of the celebrities for the show. 4 Babatunde starred in the jungle in 2022 Credit: Rex
