Ariana Madix: I'm the Glam Reaper on Love Island USA
The 40-year-old star has hosted the hit TV show since 2024, and Ariana admits that she hates delivering bad news to the Islanders.
She told Maura Higgins on Love Island USA: Aftersun: "[They] gas me up when I come in [to the villa] because I always hope that I get to bring good news but sometimes I'm the Glam Reaper."
Despite this, Ariana has developed real affection for this year's Islanders.
The former Vanderpump Rules star admires the contestants for putting themselves in the spotlight and exposing themselves to potentially fierce public criticism.
Ariana - who starred on Vanderpump Rules between 2013 and 2024 - shared: "The islanders who were eliminated, there's been a lot of stuff that's just been crazy.
"I just want them to know, and any islander who has also left the villa this point, I just want them all to know how much I genuinely really love them and appreciate them for putting themselves out there."
Meanwhile, Vanderpump Rules has undergone a reboot ahead of season 12 of the show, and Ariana previously warned the all-new cast that they have a "tough road ahead of them".
The reality star is excited to watch the upcoming season of the long-running TV show, but she insisted that it won't be an easy experience for the new line-up.
Ariana - who made her Broadway as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago in 2024 - told Extra: "I'm excited to see, I guess, how it works.
"It's such a hard thing to do, I think, to put yourself out there … They have a tough road ahead of them … Anybody, I think, who's done that has lived that, and I think they'll be great. They'll have fun."
Ariana also revealed that she learned a lot about herself during her time on Vanderpump Rules.
She said: "I've learned to trust myself. I've also learned to trust my gut more and I think I've learned that I can do things that are hard in life."

Billie Lourd predicts her kids will love Smurfs movie
Billie Lourd's kids will "freak out" about her Smurfs role. The 32-year-old actress stars in the new animated movie alongside the likes of Rihanna, James Corden, Sandra Oh, Jimmy Kimmel, Octavia Spencer, Alex Winter, and Hannah Waddingham, and Billie is convinced that her kids will love the film. Billie - who has son Kingston, four, and daughter Jackson, two - told People: "I just love to do anything that they'll care about." The actress - who previously appeared as Lieutenant Connix in the Star Wars sequel trilogy - is "so excited" for her kids to watch the new movie. She said: "This might be my career peak because it's something that they're gonna freak out about, and I'm just so excited for them to watch it and love me more." Meanwhile, Rihanna - Billie's Smurfs co-star - is also delighted that her kids can now finally enjoy the movie. The chart-topping singer - who has RZA, three, and Riot, 23 months, with A$AP Rocky - recently told Extra: "We get to watch the movie together for the first time. I get to watch it in its full completion. So, that should be interesting. "Everybody gets to watch it on the 18th. So, we're really going for it now. It's finally being birthed." Rihanna explained that the film's premiere felt "so far away" when the project began. She said: "We've been working on it for so long. So, like, a few years now, actually. And it's happening … You know, you start working on something and 2025 feels so far away and then we're here." Rihanna's sons weren't aware of her involvement with the movie. However, the singer - who has largely put her music career on hold in recent years, in order to focus on other ventures - was looking forward to seeing the reaction of her boys. Asked if they knew that she was playing Smurfette in the film, Rihanna replied: "The boys know nothing, they're being introduced to Smurf Village right now, the blue carpet, and next is going to be me watching their reaction when they realise my voice is coming out of the screen. I can't wait for that one."

Rihanna thrilled to see Smurfs movie being 'birthed'
Rihanna is thrilled that Smurfs is "finally being birthed". The 37-year-old star voices the part of Smurfette in the new animated movie, and Rihanna is delighted that her kids can now finally enjoy the movie. The chart-topping singer - who has RZA, three, and Riot, 23 months, with A$AP Rocky - told Extra: "We get to watch the movie together for the first time. I get to watch it in its full completion. I can't wait for that one." Rihanna was a Smurfs fan during her younger years, and Ramsey Naito, the president of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation, thinks she's perfectly suited to the role of Smurfette. Ramsey recently told Variety: "When we first met with her, we learned that the Smurfs was her favourite show growing up, and from that moment, everything just clicked. "It felt completely natural to reimagine the Smurfs for today's audience with Rihanna as Smurfette because her genuine love for the franchise made her the perfect fit." Rihanna's "passion" for the Smurfs franchise actually shone through during the production process. The Paramount boss also observed that the film's "secret ingredient is love". Ramsey said: "I think when you're refreshing a beloved franchise like The Smurfs, the secret ingredient is love. And that love must come from people who truly care about the characters and their story. "Rihanna brought that passion, and it shines through in every part of the film."

Rihanna: I've always wanted a baby girl
Rihanna has "always wanted" a baby girl. The 37-year-old star is currently pregnant with her third child, and after previously having two baby boys with A$AP Rocky, Rihanna admits that she'd love to have a little girl one day. Asked about the sex of her unborn baby, Rihanna told Extra: "You have to wait and see. Oh, my gosh, are you guys going to be so hurt if it's a boy?' Extra's Terri Seymour then replied: "I think we're secretly hoping you have a girl … because you've got your two sweet, sweet boys." Rihanna - who already has RZA, three, and Riot, 23 months - subsequently admitted that she'd love to have a baby girl, even though she's relished the experience of raising her two boys. She explained: "I've always wanted a girl. God knows best, right? And I love my boys." Rihanna also confirmed that her unborn baby's name will begin with the letter R, describing it as a "tradition". She said: "I mean, of course. It's tradition at this point." Rihanna has enjoyed huge success with make-up and lingerie brands, having put her music career on the back-burner in recent years. However, the singer confessed in 2024 that motherhood has changed her entire approach to fashion and style. Speaking to Interview magazine, she explained: "It's more like I spend my time getting the kids dressed to death, and then I'm like, 'What's the most comfortable outfit to wear around them? What's not going to feel uncomfortable on their face or on their body or make me feel like I can't hold them properly?' Moms are lazy dressers in real life." RIhanna has already achieved billionaire status, but she's still happy for her youngest son to wear RZA's old clothes. Asked if she has "racks of children's clothes", the Smurfs star replied: "I have racks, I have bags. They're all sized and organised, and then whatever gets too small for RZA, I put into bins so that Riot can have them next. "Riot is actually in all of RZA's one-year-old clothes already. He's only six months. Everybody thinks Rocky dresses them because I dress them in Rocky outfits."
