Billie Lourd predicts her kids will love Smurfs movie

Billie Lourd's kids will "freak out" about her Smurfs role.
The 32-year-old actress stars in the new animated movie alongside the likes of Rihanna, James Corden, Sandra Oh, Jimmy Kimmel, Octavia Spencer, Alex Winter, and Hannah Waddingham, and Billie is convinced that her kids will love the film.
Billie - who has son Kingston, four, and daughter Jackson, two - told People: "I just love to do anything that they'll care about."
The actress - who previously appeared as Lieutenant Connix in the Star Wars sequel trilogy - is "so excited" for her kids to watch the new movie.
She said: "This might be my career peak because it's something that they're gonna freak out about, and I'm just so excited for them to watch it and love me more."
Meanwhile, Rihanna - Billie's Smurfs co-star - is also delighted that her kids can now finally enjoy the movie.
The chart-topping singer - who has RZA, three, and Riot, 23 months, with A$AP Rocky - recently told Extra: "We get to watch the movie together for the first time. I get to watch it in its full completion. So, that should be interesting.
"Everybody gets to watch it on the 18th. So, we're really going for it now. It's finally being birthed."
Rihanna explained that the film's premiere felt "so far away" when the project began.
She said: "We've been working on it for so long. So, like, a few years now, actually. And it's happening … You know, you start working on something and 2025 feels so far away and then we're here."
Rihanna's sons weren't aware of her involvement with the movie.
However, the singer - who has largely put her music career on hold in recent years, in order to focus on other ventures - was looking forward to seeing the reaction of her boys.
Asked if they knew that she was playing Smurfette in the film, Rihanna replied: "The boys know nothing, they're being introduced to Smurf Village right now, the blue carpet, and next is going to be me watching their reaction when they realise my voice is coming out of the screen. I can't wait for that one."

'We had a lot happening recently' Rihanna wishes she could 'slow down' amid pregnancy

Rihanna wishes she could "slow down" amid her pregnancy. The Work hitmaker is expecting with her and partner A$AP Rocky's third child, and she is keen for a rest after jetting all over the world of late to promote her new Smurfs movie, in which she voices Smurfette. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Smurfs premiere in Los Angeles, she said: "I'm going to have to slow down, I know." Asked when she is planning to slow down, she replied: "I wish I could right now. Honestly. "We had a lot happening recently, and we got through all of it. "And now that I got home, we are right back to work, and, luckily, this is the stuff I love to do, and I'm just looking forward to being in one place while I do all of that." Rihanna was joined at the premiere by her and Rocky's sons, RZA, three, and Riot, 23 months, and the couple's youngest took a particular shine to character Smurfette on the blue carpet. The 37-year-old singer said: "He's a little flirt. He was so excited, he was like, 'Woah. What is this?' " Rihanna is excited for her boys to watch the movie, because she is eager to see if they will recognise her voice. She said: "I cannot wait for them to see the movie. "I think that's going to be my favourite, favourite part when they recognise my voice or they're like, 'Hold on. What is happening here?' "I can't wait to see what their reaction is going to be like." Rihanna and Rocky are yet to reveal the gender of their upcoming third child, but she admitted there has been a "slip up here and there". She said: "A few people know. But [there was] nothing spectacular. No [gender reveal] production. "Just a slip up here and there, I guess." Last month, rapper Rocky appeared to accidentally reveal that he and Rihanna are expecting a baby girl. When asked by Entertainment Tonight at the Smurfs world premiere in Brussels if their baby is the "girl you've been waiting for", he smiled and said: "It is, man, it is."

John Goodman shows off slimmed-down figure after 90kg weight loss

John Goodman is feeling good. The 'Roseanne' alum, 73, attended the 'Smurfs' premiere in Los Angeles on Sunday after he dropped 200 pounds on his weight loss journey. Goodman proudly showed off his slimmed-down transformation on the red carpet, posing for photos in a navy blue suit with a dark grey patterned tie and brown loafers. The actor voices Papa Smurf in the animated musical film directed by Chris Miller, the New York Post reports. The star-studded cast also includes Rihanna, James Corden, Nick Offerman, Dan Levy, Amy Sedaris, Natasha Lyonne, Sandra Oh and Hannah Waddingham. At his heaviest, Goodman weighed 392 pounds before he kicked off his fitness journey in 2007. One of the first times he debuted his 200-pound weight loss was on the red carpet at the 62nd Monte-Carlo TV festival in June 2023. With the help of help of personal trainer Mackie Shilstone, Goodman lost the weight by giving up alcohol, making several dietary changes including adopting a Mediterranean diet, and maintaining a consistent workout regimen that involved taking 10,000 to 12,000 steps a day and using an elliptical bicycle and treadmill. 'It takes a lot of creative energy to sit on your ass and figure out what you're going to eat next,' Goodman told People magazine in 2010. 'I wanted to live life better.' In 2016, he told ABC, 'I'd have a handful of food and it'd go to my mouth. I was just eating all the time. I was just eating alcoholically.' 'In the old days, I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a 6-pack of Bud or whatever and just go back to my old habits,' he continued. 'Then this time I wanted to do it slowly, move, exercise. I'm getting to the age where I can't afford to sit still anymore. And it gives me the energy to work, 'cause work is very draining.' Goodman recently wrapped up his role as Dan Conner on 'The Conners.' The 'Roseanne' spin-off aired its series finale in April, and the closing scene featured Goodman sitting alone in the family living room and saying 'goodnight' directly to the camera. Executive producer and showrunner Bruce Helford told New York Post that the final scene was Goodman's idea. 'The Conners' aired for seven seasons from 2018 to 2025 after Roseanne Barr's controversial tweets got the 'Roseanne' revival axed. In a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Goodman revealed he hasn't spoken to Barr, 72, in 'about seven or eight years.' 'I'd rather doubt if she wants to talk to me,' the 'Righteous Gemstones' added.

Sydney FC v Wrexham AFC LIVE updates: North-east Wales meets New South Wales in pre-season friendly

Go to latest G'day, g'day Hello football fans and welcome to our live coverage of tonight's friendly between Sydney FC and Wrexham AFC - a showdown that absolutely nobody would have thought up five years ago. I mean, why would they? Why on earth is the third-best team in Wales doing a pre-season tour of Australia? And why would around 35,000 people in Sydney be interested in braving a cold Tuesday night to see them play a team that was probably the A-League's biggest disappointment last season? The answer: celebrity, folks. A force so powerful that it works when the celebrities in question aren't even here. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney (now, legally, Rob Mac) are not at Allianz Stadium tonight - their schedules, we presume, are too busy - but it is only because of them that you even remotely care about Wrexham, or at least enough to click on this blog and read this post. Their takeover of Wrexham AFC is truly one of sport's most fascinating stories, and their rise from England's fifth tier to the Championship - three consecutive promotions, an unprecedented feat at this level - has been nothing short of a remarkable. The hit Disney+ series Welcome to Wrexham has documented it all, helping them build a global fanbase that stretches all the way … here. This coming season, the Red Dragons are just one division below the Premier League. Can they get there? Who knows. But this match forms an important part of their preparations. So let's see what happens. For Sydney FC, the job is simple: be a good opponent and fly the flag for the Australian game, unlike Melbourne Victory, who shamed the A-League with a 3-0 defeat on Friday night. (I'm joking.) I'm Vince Rugari, by the way. Pleasure to have your company. 7.05pm This place is buzzing Expecting a crowd of around/over 35,000 here at Allianz Stadium, which is quite something. Where would A-League teams fit in the English pyramid? This might be our best chance to find out Trying to draw meaning from pre-season friendlies is a fool's errand. But this is the A-League's silly season, after all - so in that spirit, let's have a crack. If you've thought about club soccer in Australia for longer than a few moments, the following unanswerable question may have crossed your mind: how would our teams fare in Europe? Specifically, England. In an alternate universe in which A-League sides have the opportunity to compete in the English pyramid system … how would they go? Would our best survive in the Premier League? Almost certainly not. So what's the level? Could champions Melbourne City hold their own in the Championship? Could the Wanderers climb out of League One? Would the likes of last season's cellar-dwellers Perth Glory and Brisbane Roar sink to the bottom of the League Two table … or lower? 6.52pm Here are the starting XIs For your perusual, the team sheet. The Sky Blues, still four months out from the start of the A-League season, are missing marquee man Douglas Costa, midfielder Leo Sena and defender Alex Grant - plus club great Anthony Caceres, who has departed for Macarthur FC, and some others like Patryk Klimala who have also moved on. Their squad is about six players short of what it will be when October comes, and two of those players will be imports. So don't judge them on this, tonight. Meanwhile, there's the Wrexham team. I know you don't know too much about these players individually, and you should probably know I don't either - but it's not about that, is it? It's about how they make you feel. 6.47pm G'day, g'day Hello football fans and welcome to our live coverage of tonight's friendly between Sydney FC and Wrexham AFC - a showdown that absolutely nobody would have thought up five years ago.
