Rihanna wishes she could "slow down" amid her pregnancy.
The Work hitmaker is expecting with her and partner A$AP Rocky's third child, and she is keen for a rest after jetting all over the world of late to promote her new Smurfs movie, in which she voices Smurfette.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Smurfs premiere in Los Angeles, she said: "I'm going to have to slow down, I know."
Asked when she is planning to slow down, she replied: "I wish I could right now. Honestly.
"We had a lot happening recently, and we got through all of it.
"And now that I got home, we are right back to work, and, luckily, this is the stuff I love to do, and I'm just looking forward to being in one place while I do all of that."
Rihanna was joined at the premiere by her and Rocky's sons, RZA, three, and Riot, 23 months, and the couple's youngest took a particular shine to character Smurfette on the blue carpet.
The 37-year-old singer said: "He's a little flirt. He was so excited, he was like, 'Woah. What is this?' "
Rihanna is excited for her boys to watch the movie, because she is eager to see if they will recognise her voice.
She said: "I cannot wait for them to see the movie.
"I think that's going to be my favourite, favourite part when they recognise my voice or they're like, 'Hold on. What is happening here?'
"I can't wait to see what their reaction is going to be like."
Rihanna and Rocky are yet to reveal the gender of their upcoming third child, but she admitted there has been a "slip up here and there".
She said: "A few people know. But [there was] nothing spectacular. No [gender reveal] production.
"Just a slip up here and there, I guess."
Last month, rapper Rocky appeared to accidentally reveal that he and Rihanna are expecting a baby girl.
When asked by Entertainment Tonight at the Smurfs world premiere in Brussels if their baby is the "girl you've been waiting for", he smiled and said: "It is, man, it is."

Jamie Lee Curtis is 'very excited' about Murder, She Wrote movie

Jamie Lee Curtis is "very excited" about her new Murder, She Wrote movie. The actress will step into the shoes of Dame Angela Lansbury to play mystery writer-turned-amateur detective Jessica Fletcher in a new film based on the long-running TV show of the same name and Jamie has admitted she can't wait to start filming on the project. She told Entertainment Tonight: "Oh, it's … happening. We're a minute away, but yeah, [I'm] very excited. Very excited. "But I'm tamping down my enthusiasm until we start shooting. I have a couple of other things to hustle, but then I'll get to enjoy that work." Murder, She Wrote starred Lansbury - who died in 2022 aged 96 - and ran for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996. Bosses at NBC had previously planned to revive the show with Oscar winning actress Octavia Spencer, but reports from early 2014 suggested the project had been canned. Curtis is currently busy promoting her new movie Freakier Friday with Lindsay Lohan - a sequel to the pair's 2003 comedy Freaky Friday - which is due for release in early August. The Oscar-winning movie star previously revealed she loved working with Lohan again and admitted the younger actress "taught" her "so much" on set for a second time. She told Variety: "She has taught me so much. She has her team, where her two people would be standing on either side of a camera holding a big light. "It's Lindsay lighting - that would have been good branding - they hold lights so that we look better. "So, I've learned a lot from her already. We had a good time. We love each other." She added to the publication of the second film: "It's a movie for today. It is a happy, nostalgic, funny, sweet, heartfelt, Disney movie right at the end of the summer. "There haven't been a lot of movies for women, and this is a love letter to every mother, grandma, sister, cousin and daughter." Curtis has several other projects in the works including a TV version of Patricia Cornwell's book Scarpetta alongside Nicole Kidman, scam movie Sender and spy drama Spychosis.

The Smurfs star Rihanna identifies with Smurfette 'a lot'

Rihanna feels she identifies with Smurfette "a lot". The 37-year-old singer voiced the blonde-haired blue cartoon character in the 2025 musical-fantasy-comedy film Smurfs, and Rihanna admits she shares her alter-ego's tough, fearless and determined character traits. She told the new issue of Britain's HELLO! magazine: "She's still a girl's girl but she is also tough, which I love. "She's not afraid of anything, or anyone. She's a leader, determined, and she never gives up. I really feel like I identify with her a lot." Rihanna - who owns the cosmetics Fenty Beauty brand, and the Savage X Fenty lingerie label - added: "She's a beautician and an aesthetician too, so it felt like we have a lot in common. "I've always identified with Smurfette, right back to when I was four or five years old, so when this opportunity came up, I just couldn't believe it. "It's a dream come true." The performer thinks little girls will want to aspire to be like Smurfette after they have seen the movie. She added: "She's real and accessible, and you're charmed by her. "Little girls are going to believe they can be her or be friends with her." Despite having had previous movie roles, including DreamWorks' Home as the voice of Gratuity 'Tip' Tucci, Rihanna feels "much more confident" as a musician than an actor. She explained: "I feel much more confident as a musician than I do with acting. "I have so much respect for actors, and it's definitely very intimidating to be amongst them. It's scary. "But I think as long as I work at it, I don't see why I wouldn't do film. I've had fun experiences so far." Rihanna says her sons, RZA, three, and Riot, 23 months - who she has with her husband, 36-year-old rapper A$AP Rocky - cannot wait to see Smurfs. She said: "They're excited about it. "To be there with them to see Smurfette on screen with my voice coming out of her mouth is a huge moment. It's fun to share this with them." The film sees the Smurfs rescue Papa Smurf (John Goodman) after evil wizards Razamel and Gargamel (both voiced by JP Karliak) take him. And with the help from new pals, they "must discover what defines their destiny to save the universe". Rihanna - who contributed music to the film's soundtrack - hopes the movie will make audiences realise that they can achieve anything in life, as well as the importance of teamwork. She said: "I hope they have fun watching it and come away with the positive message that, to achieve anything in life, [it] takes a team. "We all need a strong team around us. I know I do."

Sweet Home Alabama star Josh Lucas ties the knot at The Vatican in Rome

Josh Lucas has tied the knot - at The Vatican. The 54-year-old Sweet Home Alabama actor and meteorologist Brianna Ruffalo announced on Friday (18.07.25) that they said their vows at the official residence of the Pope in Rome, Italy. Brianna captioned an Instagram carousel from their special day: 'Mr. and Mrs. Incredibly blessed to receive this sacrament together inside the heart of the Catholic Church and holy city." Josh gushed in the comments section: "I love you! Easily one of the greatest days of my life. I am so so grateful.' Upon announcing their engagement last July, the Yellowstone actor admitted he was "grateful and thrilled" that Brianna had agreed to be his wife after he popped the question during a romantic vacation to Italy. The happy couple - who had been together for almost two years - shared their happy news on Instagram. In one clip, Brianna cried with happiness as she showed off her diamond ring while musicians played Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling in Love. Josh captioned his post: "For the last 2 years in Every Way and Every Day this beautiful soul has made me and my life better, deeper, and more whole. "I am so grateful and thrilled she said 'Yes'. I WAY love you Brianna. Thank You to our families and all the people and places that made this come true. I am absolutely aware I got crazy lucky. (sic)" Meanwhile, Brianna admitted accepting Josh's proposal was the "easiest and best question" she'd ever answered. She wrote on her own page: "Almost 2 years ago this fall, and with no expectations, Josh walked into my life.. and we knew almost immediately we had each found our person in a way we've never experienced- on every level. This was the easiest and best question I've ever answered. So, here's to forever with my love, my best friend [heart emoji] I can't wait to keep living this life with you [prayer emoji]" Josh - who has 13-year-old son Noah with ex-wife Jessica Ciencin Henriquez - previously joked that his new fiancée is "fully" on the side of Patrick Dempsey's character Andrew Hennings in their 2002 movie Sweet Home Alabama. The movie sees Reese Witherspoon's Melanie Smooter leave her fiancé Andrew for Josh's alter ego Jake Perry at the end of the film. He told Entertainment Tonight: "In [Brianna's] mind, she's like, 'But you're the guy that kind of ruined their relationship!' "The funny thing is once she said that, all these people have come up to me and been like, 'Yeah, I was Team Patrick too.'"
