Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar have worked together in films such as Mohra, Hera Pheri, Waqt Humara Hai, among others.
Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar have been great friends for many years and have also shared screen space in several films including 'Hera Pheri', 'Waqt Humara Hai', 'Mohra', 'Pehchaan', 'Dhadkan', and others. Recently, Suniel Shetty recalled his first meeting with Akshay, sharing a deeply emotional memory. He revealed that the 'Kesari 2' actor resembled his late cousin Ullaas, who had tragically died in a car accident at the age of 27-28. He was struck by the resemblance in appearance and body language when he met Akshay for the first time on the sets of the 1993 film 'Waqt Humara Hai'.
While speaking with Radio Nasha, Suniel Shetty said, 'I can never forget that first meeting. I had a cousin named Ullaas, who was the first person to send my photographs out and I got my first modelling assignment. At that time, I had just lost him in a car accident. He was hardly 27-28." Recalling the first time he met Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty said, 'When I saw Akshay, for a second, I felt that he had the exact same body language, clean-shaved look, good-looking boy, and tall. The first thing I said to Akshay was that you remind me of my brother I have lost in an accident."
He further added, 'I also told him that it's scary that I have to sit down and work with you every day because whenever I will see you, I'll miss him. And, that's exactly what happened. When we got a long night, he lightened the vibe. Akshay se bada masti khor koi nahi hai iss duniya mein. (There's no one in this world more fun-loving than Akshay)."
Suniel Shetty will reunite with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in Priyadarshan's 'Hera Pheri 3'. Last month, while speaking with Hindustan Times, Priyadarshan said, 'I plan to start work, start writing 'Hera Pheri 3' sometime next year. It is going to be very challenging to make the third part because there will be too many expectations."
Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty will next be seen in 'Kesari Veer', co-starring Vivek Oberoi and Sooraj Pancholi. It will release on May 23rd. Akshay Kumar, who was recently seen in 'Kesari Chapter 2', has 'Housefull 5' and 'Welcome To The Jungle' in the pipeline.

‘The Kerala Story' National Award win: Director feels Adah Sharma deserved best actress, calls industry validation unimportant

'The Kerala Story' won two National Awards recently, but director feels the film deserved even more. He especially feels sad that lead actress didn't get the Best Actress award. In an interview, he shared his thoughts on the film's journey, his struggles, and how the audience's love matters more to him than industry recognition. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The film won two major awards, but Sudipto feels disappointed The film won two major awards as Best Director and Best Cinematography, but Sudipto feels disappointed that actress Adah Sharma and other key team members weren't honoured. Sudipto shared his point of view In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Sudipto shared that while winning Best Director was a pleasant surprise, he was really hoping for technical categories like writing and makeup to be acknowledged too. "It was a surprise. I expected technical awards. I wanted the work of my technicians to be recognised. When a film becomes so big that even two years after its release, it is being talked about, then it is definitely technically good. That was why I had reason to expect my technicians would get the award. My DOP did, but I would have been happy if my writer, my makeup artist, and my actress Adah Sharma had also won. But that did not happen, and I was a little sad." he said. Despite this, he's grateful for the appreciation the film has received. Coming from a humble background and working hard for over two decades, he feels proud to have finally earned such a prestigious recognition. Sudipto also spoke about not feeling accepted by mainstream Bollywood. Living in Mumbai for 25 years, he still feels like an outsider. "I have been living in Mumbai for almost 25 years, but I never felt at home with Bollywood. I don't belong to the genre of cinema that the Mumbai film industry makes. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now I remain an outsider here. People hardly know me here. Their validation was never a big aspect in my cinematic journey. My audience's validation was important," he explained. About the film 'The Story' follows the story of young women from Kerala who are influenced and recruited by ISIS. The film claimed to be based on true events, which sparked protests and legal issues in Kerala, including a ban. Even so, it was a hit with viewers and earned over ₹300 crore at the box office. Sudipto says the film's success and lasting impact show that it can't just be dismissed as 'propaganda.'

Raghav Chadha REACTS to ‘Good News' rumours with Parineeti Chopra: 'Denge, aapko jaldi denge''

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha have once again found themselves at the center of pregnancy rumours — this time, thanks to a cheeky remark on national television. During their appearance on 'The Indian Kapil Show', host Kapil Sharma playfully asked the couple if there was any 'good news' on the horizon. Raghav's response — 'Denge, aapko denge, good news jaldi denge!' — was delivered with a grin, but it instantly set off a wave of online speculation. R aghav didn't confirm anything outright. However the tone and timing of his response had fans reading between the lines. Could this be a cryptic way of hinting at an impending announcement? Or was it just good-humoured banter? Either way, it's left social media buzzing. Loose shirts and loud rumours This isn't the first time Parineeti has been subject to such speculation. Back in 2024, the actress was spotted wearing a loosely fitted white shirt and shorts during an outing. The relaxed look — totally normal in the fashion-forward world — was quickly interpreted by paparazzi and netizens as a possible attempt to hide a baby bump. Soon, the netizens started working out on their theories. However, no statement followed, and the couple remained silent — until now, perhaps teasingly, on Kapil's couch. Parineeti-Raghav's First TV Appearance Halted By Shocking Family Emergency Clarification from inner circle Despite the playful moment on the show, a close friend of Parineeti has cleared the air. Speaking anonymously to Hindustan Times, the source denied all pregnancy rumours and insisted that Parineeti is currently focused on her packed travel and work schedule. T he source also called out the insensitivity of drawing conclusions based on someone's outfit or public appearance. 'It's invasive and unfair,' they said. Parineeti and Raghav's story — from their first meeting in London to their grand wedding last year — has always drawn public fascination. On the work front, Parineeti Chopra was last seen in 'Amar Singh Chamkila' which received good reviews.

Ibrahim Ali Khan must learn to embrace criticism, says 'Sarzameen' director Kayoze Irani- Read here

Filmmaker Kayoze Irani , who made his directorial debut with 'Sarzameen', has spoken candidly about the scrutiny faced by his film's lead actor, Ibrahim Ali Khan . In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Kayoze acknowledged the mixed reactions that Ibrahim received for his performance, not just in Sarzameen, but also in his debut film Nadaaniyan. 'He has put himself in the spotlight. When you do that, you must allow the public to criticise you. This same public will also love you when the time comes,' said Kayoze. Both Kayoze and Ibrahim come from privileged film backgrounds—Kayoze is the son of Boman Irani, while Ibrahim is the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh . Addressing the ongoing nepotism debate, the director admitted, 'Yes, I know Ibrahim is a nepo kid—so am I. But the real challenge begins after the doors open. You still have to prove yourself.' 'Mean Comments Aren't Criticism'; The Line Between Honest Feedback and Hate While Kayoze accepts criticism as part of the journey, he took issue with those who resort to hateful remarks without even watching the film. 'It becomes a problem when people are just being nasty for the sake of it. That's not feedback, that's taking joy in someone else's struggle,' he said. However, he also added that responding to such negativity doesn't help much. 'It won't change anything. What will change things is him coming forward and proving people wrong with his work,' he said firmly. 'It's Never Going to Get Easier'; Why Kayoze and Ibrahim Are in This Together Starring alongside veterans Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran, Ibrahim still has a long road ahead. 'They have nothing to prove. But Ibrahim and I—we do,' said Kayoze. Despite the criticism, he believes that audiences have begun to warm up to Ibrahim's screen presence more than they did in his debut. 'I've read the comments, the reviews—there's a shift. But it's now on him to keep going, one step at a time. And no, it's never going to get easier—for either of us.
