One current superstar wide receiver, Davante Adams of the Los Angeles Rams, recently spoke out with his thoughts on the matter. He doesn't see playing both ways working out for Hunter.
During an appearance on the "Pivot" podcast, Adams made his thoughts clear.
"I don't even think it's possible to do, for real," Adams said. "Not at a high level. Once you get out there playing both sides, now you have to tackle. You've got to tackle Derrick Henry with that frame."
Adams makes a good point. Thinking about Hunter trying to take down Derrick Henry does not sound like a pretty sight. However, he is going to give it a shot.

It will be interesting to see what Hunter is able to do on both sides of the football during his rookie season. He won the Heisman Trophy last year with the Colorado Buffaloes in his final college season.
Throughout the 2024 season with Colorado, Hunter racked up 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns as a wide receiver. Defensively, he totaled 35 tackles, a forced fumble, four interceptions, and 11 defended passes.
Hunter doesn't let doubters bother him. Now, he simply has an NFL star to prove wrong.

Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson leaves practice after being hit in the back
OXNARD, Calif. — Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson was hit in the back on Thursday and left practice early. Ferguson was hurt in a red-zone drill when linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr. made contact with him during a passing play. Ferguson stayed down on his back for several minutes, with teammates surrounding him, but he was able to get up under his own power. 'I just got to keep my teammate up,' Murray said. 'Down in the red zone, everything happens fast, you know, just trying to be on it quick. There's not a lot of space, not a lot of room.' Ferguson was examined by a trainer and appeared to be trying to stretch out his back before leaving the field at the start of the next period. Quarterback Dak Prescott described the hit as two players acting on instincts that are 'hard to turn off in split-second moments.' 'More importantly, Jake jumped up, Jake dapped him up and said he was good, and we're going to move forward,' Prescott said about Ferguson shaking hands with Murray after the hit. Chargers LT Rashawn Slater suffered torn patellar tendon, will undergo season-ending surgery
Los Angeles Chargers tackle Rashawn Slater has suffered a torn patellar tendon, the team announced Thursday. He will undergo season-ending surgery. Slater went down in practice Thursday morning with a left leg injury, and had to be carted off the field. A player appeared to fall on Slater's leg during an 11-on-11 drill, causing the tackle to go down, via The Athletic's Daniel Popper. Slater was tended to by trainers for two minutes before the cart came out, with teammates gathering around the cart as Slater was loaded onto it. He could not put any weight on his left leg, and threw his helmet and slammed his hand into the cart, seemingly in frustration, before burying his face in his hands, per Popper. The injury comes just a week and a half after the Chargers made Slater the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history, signing the fifth-year tackle to a four-year, $114 million extension. The contract includes $92 million in guaranteed money. It's a brutal loss for the Chargers, especially before the start of the season. Slater has been the primary blindside protector for Justin Herbert since the team drafted him at No. 13 overall in 2021. The 26-year-old LT has been named to two Pro Bowls: He earned the nod his rookie season and was invited back last season after another stellar year. With Slater out for the season, the Chargers will have to turn to its depth chart to replace him. Trey Pipkins III (LT/RT) and Ryan Nelson (LT) are listed as the two potential backups to Slater in the O-Line.
