'Questionable life choices': Elon Musk's 'baby mama' Ashley St Clair says she's getting evicted, has no money
Right-wing influencer Ashley St Clair launched a podcast and said she had to do this as she is broke and is getting evicted. Called 'Bad Advice', the podcast was launched Monday as Ashley said: 'Well, after a year of unplanned career suicide, many questionable life choices and a gap in my LinkedIn profile that cannot legally be explained, I've decided to start a podcast.
"
'Unlike your Ben Shapiros or your Megyn Kellys, I'm not starting this because I think my big brain thoughts and my podcast mic are the greatest gift to humanity. 'I actually think I have the worst ideas, so consider everything out of my mouth a cautionary tale," she said.
Ashley rose to prominence after she claimed to have given birth to Elon Musk's 13th child Romulus, which landed her in a legal and public standoff with Musk.
In March, Elon Musk said despite not knowing for sure whether Sr Clair's child was his or not, he gave her $2.5 million and was sending her $500,000 per year. But St Clair claimed he withdrew most of his child support after she went public with their dispute and filed for custody.
St Clair also sold her Tesla months ago to "make up for the 60 per cent cut" that Elon allegedly made to their son's child support.
The first episode of the podcast, sponsored by betting platform Polymarket, had many mentions of Elon Musk and former DOGE employee Edward Coristine, popularly known as Big Balls, because of his involvement in a recent carjacking incident that he stopped and got assaulted.

"Since when does losing a street fight make you Rosa Parks?" she joked.

Bhatti slams BRS govt for reckless approvals, stalled projects
Hyderabad: Deputy chief minister and finance minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday alleged that the previous BRS govt had approved development works in certain departments without regard for income or budget allocations, at an alarming ratio of 1:25. He said several projects were taken up but left incomplete, leading to severe fund shortages and leaving new ministers unable to propose fresh works in their departments. At a review meeting with members of the cabinet sub-committee on infrastructure and capital works, held at the secretariat, Bhatti pointed out that approvals in governance had traditionally followed a 1:3 ratio based on revenue and budget. However, the BRS govt, he said, had completely disregarded this principle, resulting in a situation where "no project is in a position to be completed and no new work can be funded." While pushing forward with development, he stressed that all constituencies in the state must receive fair representation. Bhatti further instructed that projects supported by central govt-sponsored schemes and NABARD assistance should be given preference to ensure timely completion. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like American Investor Warren Buffett Recommends: 5 Books For Turning Your Life Around Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo He warned against repeating past imbalances where some departments received 100% priority while others were ignored. The minister also emphasised that fund allocation must go hand in hand with revenue generation. All officers were asked to prepare plans accordingly and to coordinate with their respective ministers before sub-committee meetings, ensuring priority lists of works are in place. CKAF unite for statewide pen-down Aug 22 strike, demands pay revision
Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Karmchari-Adhikari Federation (CKAF), representing 110 employees' organisations, has called for a statewide pen-down strike on Aug 22 over an 11-point charter of demands. The federation warned that if the govt fails to respond, employees may launch an indefinite strike. Unions across departments and districts have pledged support, demanding DA from the due date, dearness relief, parity in pay, time-bound promotions, regularisation of workers, medical facilities, and an increase in retirement age. Federation members said that the proposed pen-down, work-down strike is receiving widespread support across the state. In a joint statement, CKAF conveners Kamal Verma, G R Chandra, Rajesh Chatterjee, B P Sharma, Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Sanjay Singh Thakur, and Rohit Tiwari said a meeting was held in Raipur with the state heads of various employees' unions. During the meeting, district supervisors reported on the preparations for the protest, noting the consensus and enthusiasm among employees. Unions representing urban bodies, universities, contract workers, and daily-wage employees have also given written consent to join the strike by taking mass leave, they said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like London: If You Were Born Between 1945-1975 You Could Be Eligible For This British Seniors Read More Undo The state heads at the meeting urged the govt to discuss and resolve their demands soon. Federation officials said that for years, employees have been submitting memorandums and holding democratic protests for their legitimate demands. However, they said there was no positive response from the state govt on the 'Modi Ki Guarantee' promises. This has compelled them to consider an indefinite strike, they added. When asked about Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai's announcement on Tuesday of a 2% hike in dearness allowance for Chhattisgarh's officers and employees—a key demand of the workforce—Kamal Verma said the CKAF will go ahead with its planned strike on Aug 22. With this increase, employees will now receive 55% DA, bringing it at par with the central govt. "We demand a DA hike from Jan 2025, which is the due date, and the state govt has yet to take a decision on it. Unless we have a meeting with the state govt on the DA due date and other pending demands, we will not call off our proposed strike," Verma told TOI. HC upholds state's right to set eligibility criteria in recruitment rules
Raipur: The Chhattisgarh High Court dismissed writ petitions challenging the state govt's decision to not consider M Tech (soil and water engineering) as a valid qualification for the post of assistant geo hydrologist. The court stated that prescribing educational qualifications is a matter of recruitment policy, and the state, as an employer, is entitled to determine the eligibility criteria. A division bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal recently heard petitions filed by Madhukar Patel, Shruti Verma, Karnika Dwivedi, Gunja Dhruv, and Chandra Prakash, who hold M Tech degrees in soil and water engineering from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur. The petitioners challenged the recruitment rules, arguing that their qualification was equivalent to the prescribed postgraduate degree in geology. They were debarred from applying for five vacant posts of assistant geo hydrologist in the water resources department, for which the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission issued an advertisement on Feb 12, 2020. The petitioners' counsel, Vedant Shadangi, contended that the M Tech degree in soil and water engineering is equivalent to a postgraduate degree in geology. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Passive Income Ideas Sitting at Home Mone Click Here Undo He said that the petitioners were qualified and eligible for the post. He added that the IGKV and the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission both considered including the M Tech degree as a minimum educational qualification. The state govt's counsel, Yashwant Singh Thakur, additional advocate general, opposed the plea. He submitted that a postgraduate degree in geology is a prerequisite for the post, which involves studying the earth and its processes. Geology is a specialised field required for civil engineering projects, such as the construction of dams, reservoirs, and tunnels. The work of an assistant geo hydrologist deals with reappraisal hydrological surveys, site selection, and supervision of groundwater exploratory drilling. The subject of geology is a useful part in the search for coal, petroleum, and minerals, etc., he submitted. Thakur said that the M Tech in soil and water engineering is suitable for agriculture-related work and is not relevant to the water resources department. The state, as an employer, had the right to set the eligibility criteria based on the job's nature, and its decision to not include the M Tech degree was not arbitrary or discriminatory. He also pointed out that the recruitment process for the post was already completed, and the selected candidates were issued appointment letters on Oct 21, 2021. The petitioners failed to implead the selected candidates as respondents. The court, after hearing both parties, conducted a comparative analysis of the two fields. It noted that geology is a broader field focused on studying the entire earth, while soil and water engineering is a specialised branch of agricultural engineering. The court said that though the fields might intersect, they are distinct. The bench cited judgments of the Supreme Court, including the Zahoor Ahmad Rathar vs Sheikh Imtiyaz Ahmad and Maharashtra Public Service Commission vs Sandeep Shriram Warade and others cases. The court said that the equivalence of a qualification is not a matter for judicial review, but for the employer to decide. The rules prescribing the qualifications for a post are valid and do not suffer from any unreasonableness. The court held that the minimum educational qualification fixed in the rules for the post of assistant geo hydrologist is not ultra vires and is well within the legislative competence of the state. The petition was dismissed. Stay updated with the latest local news from your city on Times of India (TOI).
