Matthew Berry's Overall Top 200 for 2025 fantasy football season
With NFL training camps now in full swing and preseason just around the corner, here are my Top 200 overall players for the 2025 fantasy football season.
While these rankings are obviously adaptable, they are intended for 1 QB redraft leagues with full PPR scoring. This big board should also always be used in conjunction with my positional rankings, which you can find here (link). Early on in drafts it's easy to simply take the best player available, but as you get into the later rounds, you're going to need to balance your roster and prioritize individual positions.
And remember, you know your league better than I do, so adjust as needed. My rankings tend to skew WR heavy, but if your league loves to draft RBs early, you need to account for that. It doesn't make sense to start your team with Nico Collins and Brian Thomas Jr. if you think the best player available for the next five rounds will also be a WR. You're better off taking Derrick Henry or De'Von Achane with at least one of those picks and scooping up the WR value later. Similarly, I tend to be very high on rookies – it's the easiest way to find upside late in drafts. But if you're in a league that is more cautious with rookies, understand that you can likely get Tre Harris and Jayden Higgins a lot later than I have them ranked.

Arizona Cardinals, OL Will Hernandez expected to reach deal
The Arizona Cardinals had free agent offensive lineman Will Hernandez in for a visit this week. They are expected to reach a deal for him to return to the team. According to Arizona Sports 98.7 FM's John Gambadoro, both sides would like to get a deal done, and he expects a contract to be agreed upon soon. Hernandez spent the last three seasons as the Cardinals' starting right guard. He tore his ACL in Week 5 last season and only recently was medically cleared for football. Since then, 2024 third-round pick Isaiah Adams has been moved into Hernandez' old starting job. If Hernandez is re-signed, it does not mean that Adams will move to the bench. In fact, since Hernandez has not participated in any training camp, Cards Wire's Howard Balzer believes the Cardinals would start Hernandez on PUP, potentially having him start the season there, where he would have to miss the first four games, at least. Hernandez would give the Cardinals proven starter-quality depth behind Adams and the Cardinals wouldn't miss a beat should someone get hurt. In recent seasons, rookies like Jayden Daniels, Brock Bowers and Bo Nix have boosted their teams significantly because of their ability to quickly adapt from the NCAA to the NFL. With a new class of rookies set to embark on their first season, who will make an immediate impact on their team? (Photo by) The Chargers want to be a ground-and-pound team under head coach Jim Harbaugh. They were successful in doing so last season and beefed up that running back position coming into this year by selecting Hampton with the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. For a run-centric team to spend a first-round pick on a running back, it must mean they have tremendous confidence in that player. Hampton rushed for over 3,164 yards and 30 touchdowns over the course of his sophomore and junior seasons at North Carolina. It'll be crucial for the Chargers that he quickly carries that production into the NFL, as their other backfield addition, Najee Harris, could miss the start of the season. (Photo by) ADVERTISEMENT Baltimore has every opportunity to have the best secondary in the NFL in 2025. To fulfill that projection, Starks would have to make a significant impact. He recorded 77 tackles in his junior season at Georgia before being selected 27th in the 2025 NFL Draft. He has a strong core of cornerbacks in front of him, but his ability to play clean-up will be crucial. A clean pocket and time to throw are the foundation for that. That means Campbell will have to come through big time and protect Maye. Campbell was selected fourth overall (New England's second-highest selection of the 21st century behind Maye) to do just that. At left tackle, he will protect Maye's blind side. It's a foundation-setting selection that indicates they want to be a hard-nosed team. Apart from Myles Garrett, there's not a ton of talent in the Browns' front seven, so Graham will have to step up early in his NFL career. (Photo by) McMillan was the second wide receiver off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft, going eighth overall to the Panthers. He's a versatile, athletic pass-catcher who could offer a safety blanket and a dynamic downfield threat that helps propel Bryce Young's career. Young showed glimpses of why he was such a touted prospect toward the end of last season, and the addition of McMillan should only help that process. (Photo by) Green Bay drafted Golden at 23rd overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, making him the fourth wide receiver off the board. He has entered an already deep receiving core, but one that doesn't have a true alpha. If Golden can become that, it will boost quarterback Jordan Love, giving him a go-to option. (Photo by) The Giants selected Carter third overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, and he might be the most talented prospect in the class. It was truly a best-available pick, as the Giants already have Kayvon Thibodeaux, Dexter Lawrence II and Brian Burns headlining their front seven. Carter can still make an impact, and if he hits right away, the Giants might have the best front seven in the league. (Photo by) Hunter is unique to this list because he has the opportunity to make a significant impact on both sides of the ball. The Jaguars drafted him second overall with the intention of him playing snaps on both offense and defense. He'll be an immediate factor on offense, as head coach Liam Coen said Hunter would play around 80% of the team's offensive snaps. For a Jaguars team that has made the playoffs just once in the past seven seasons, Hunter offers an exciting talent that could be realistically used in any possible way on the football field. (Photo by) Tennessee banked its future on Cam Ward when it drafted him with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Ward had a breakout season during his junior year at Miami (Fla.), leading the NCAA with 39 touchdown passes. It will be crucial for that production to continue as the Titans try and rebuild around him. The team's receiving core isn't impressive, so it will be largely up to Ward to showcase his individual talent to make an impact this season. To take a running back within the top 10 is a leap of faith and a testament to Jeanty's dynamism. It's likely that the Raiders feed him a heavy volume right away. Longtime NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson speaks out about uncertainty with channel's future
ESPN will acquire the NFL Network and other media assets, including the popular RedZone channel, from the NFL. In exchange, the league will receive a 10% equity stake in the sports network as part of a landmark agreement, the two sides announced Tuesday. The shift in control sparked some fear among football fans about whether the deal would lead to changes. But one thing that doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon is the RedZone host. Scott Hanson, who has anchored RedZone since 2009, took to social media to ease concerns about his role for the 2025 season. Hanson confirmed he would resume his normal hosting duties for the upcoming season. He also expressed optimism about the deal between ESPN and the NFL. "It's official. (& for those wondering: yes, I will still be hosting RedZone.) Fired up for a great season! Optimistic about this new partnership!" Hanson wrote on X. Hanson's popularity with viewers has grown over the years, and he's received praise for his memorable catchphrases. His contract with NFL Media reportedly expired at the end of last season. Hanson confirmed he negotiated a new deal, allowing him to return for the 2025 season. Under the agreement, the NFL will continue to own, operate and produce RedZone channel programming from its studios in Southern California. ESPN will handle cable and satellite distrubution, while the league will retain the rights to distribute it on digital platforms. "By combining these NFL media assets with ESPN's reach and innovation, we're creating a premier destination for football fans," ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro said in a statement. "Together, ESPN and the NFL are redefining how fans engage with the game — anytime, anywhere. This deal helps fuel ESPN's digital future, laying the foundation for an even more robust offering as we prepare to launch our new direct-to-consumer service." NFL Network is expected to be added to ESPN's upcoming direct-to-consumer streaming service. The service is scheduled to launch this fall and will offer access to ESPN's portfolio of professional and college sports.
