News186 days ago
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, renowned for the critically acclaimed Jersey, the film features Vijay Deverakonda in an unprecedented role. Rugged and physically transformed, his character rises from a violent past to lead a kingdom plagued by deceit and shattered loyalties.
'Saamrajya is about a man who never aspired to the throne but is compelled to ascend because the world around him crumbles. His scars narrate the downfall of a world and potentially its rebirth," explained Tinnanuri, discussing the film's emotional core. Take a look at the new poster of Vijay Deverakonda's Saamrajya:
Saamrajya is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Aditya Bhatia from Adwise Movies and Atul Rajani presenting the Hindi release. The teaser garnered millions of views within hours of its release, featuring voiceovers by Jr NTR (Telugu), Suriya (Tamil), and Ranbir Kapoor (Hindi), enhancing its cross-language appeal. The Hindi dubbed version will be distributed by AA Films across North India.
In a former interview with NEWS9 Live, Vijay revealed that Ranbir Kapoor agreed to lend his voice to the teaser even before Vijay had asked. He credited Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of Arjun Reddy who worked with Ranbir on Animal, for connecting them. Vijay said, 'I just texted RK and he knew what I was going to ask even before I asked him. I had told Sandeep that I wanted RK's voice in the film's Hindi teaser and he had informed RK about it. Even before I asked RK, he said, 'Of course I am doing your teaser man.' I was like, 'I didn't even ask yet. Let me tell you what is it.' Even before I asked him he said yes."
Kingdom AKA Saamrajya's buzz is further amplified by a unique AI-designed video, praised in industry circles for its innovative approach. The background score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T. John.
The film also stars Satyadev and Bhagyashri Borse. Saamrajya will be released in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil. With its high-octane action and strong emotional core, the film is poised to be one of the major Indian releases of 2025.

ICW: 'Kaafi late nahi hogaya,' hilariously says Akshay Kumar as he closes Falguni Shane Peacocks show past his usual bedtime

New Delhi [India], July 26 (ANI): Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is known for leading a disciplined lifestyle, which mainly includes hitting the bed early and waking up at 4 am in the morning. However, sometimes, due to work commitments, his "early sleep and wake-up routine" gets hampered. Friday night was one of those rare days when Khiladi Kumar stayed up late. He had no qualms about it as he was in his hometown, Delhi, for ace designers Falguni Shane Peacock's special show at India Couture Week 2025. After walking the ramp for the designers, Akshay briefly spoke with media around 11 pm on Friday night, joking about closing the show past his usual bedtime. "Well, thank you very much. Main Hindi mein bolunga. Aap sabhi logo ka bhaut bhaut dhanyawad, jitne bhi yahan log aaye, aur media. (Looking at his watch) Kaafi late nahi ho gaya hai?" Akshay quipped, leaving members of the media in splits. The 'Kesari' star was in full candid mode. When one of the shutterbugs said, "Dilli mein chalta hai sir", Akshay, with a touch of humour, responded, "Tabhi Haal dekh tera." Akshay returned to the runway after many years, but his comeback was definitely worth the wait. Dressed in an ivory bandhgala sherwani, Akshay looked handsome as he exuded desi swag with his showstopper look. His black sunglasses and silver juti elevated his traditional look, echoing with designers' offering Raj Mahal Bijoux - The Palace of Jewels. On making his comeback to runway after 12 years, Akshay expressed, "Actually, after a long time I'm doing this walk, ramp walk. Mujhe yaad hai, aaj se kariban 12 saal pehle, maine phir ek baar ramp walk kiya tha, maine inhi ke saath kiya tha. And it's been an honour doing that." Akshay also lauded designers, models and the entire team for their relentless efforts that go behind conducting one show. He added, "I have enjoyed each and every bit of it. Specially, maine dekha hai ki kitna hard-work jaata hai ek show karne ke liye, organise karne ke liye aur 25 minute ke andar poora ka poora khatam ho jaata hai. Log itna saj dhaj ke aate hain aur 25 minute ke andar poora show khatam ho jaata hai. But, I just want to tell you that Shane and Falguni, the way they present themselves in such an international way, I think they have made India so proud." Meanwhile, on the acting front, Akshay will be seen soon in Priyadarshan's film 'Bhooth Bangla'. He also has 'Haiwaan' and 'Hera Pheri 3' in pipeline with ace director Priyadarshan. (ANI)

Sandeep Reddy Vanga Confirms Prabhas, Triptii Dimri's Spirit Begins Filming This September

Last Updated: Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga confirms Prabhas, Triptii Dimri's Spirit starts filming in September with back-to-back schedules. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has officially confirmed that his much-anticipated film Spirit, starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, will begin shooting in September 2025. The announcement came during a recent chat with Vijay Deverakonda and filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri on the Sithara Entertainments YouTube channel. Sandeep revealed that Spirit will have back-to-back schedules and a non-stop shooting plan once it hits the floors. Spirit made headlines earlier this year when Deepika Padukone exited the project following disagreements over working hours and compensation. Reports suggested that Deepika was advocating for a strict eight-hour workday, a demand that could not be accommodated by the production team. Following her exit, Triptii Dimri was roped in to play the female lead opposite Prabhas. According to reports by Rangasthalam, Sandeep has already completed the musical compositions for Spirit in collaboration with composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar. Backed by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit is one of the most awaited action dramas in Indian cinema and is expected to hit theatres in 2027. The film reportedly presents Prabhas in a never-seen-before avatar, adding to fans' excitement. Earlier, a source close to the project revealed, 'Sandeep Reddy Vanga wants to shoot for Spirit in a certain way and has requested Prabhas to acquire a lean physique. The idea is to ensure most stunts are performed by Prabhas himself. The Rebel Star is excited about the challenge and is working closely with Sandeep to mold himself into the character." After wrapping up Spirit, Sandeep will begin scripting Animal Park, the much-anticipated sequel to his 2023 blockbuster Animal. With high expectations riding on Spirit, fans are eagerly awaiting to see what cinematic magic Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Prabhas will bring to the screen.
