Romania Head Coach Warns New Inter Milan Boss Of The Size Of The Challenge: 'Won't Have An Easy Task'

Inter Milan parted ways with Simone Inzaghi after four years at the end of last season.
Despite his vast success at San Siro, the ex-Lazio coach turned his back on the Nerazzurri for Al-Hilal.
Indeed, Inzaghi decided to leave Serie A after his first trophyless season at Inter and embrace the riches of Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Inter had tried to hire Cesc Fabregas but to no avail.
Though Beppe Marotta made a valiant attempt to sign the Spaniard, he chose to stay loyal to Como.
Therefore, Inter appointed Cristian Chivu as Inzaghi's successor on the eve of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Unfortunately, the first experience wasn't positive as Fluminense beat Inter in the round of 16.

Lucescu spent one season at Inter in 1998/99. However, after failing to win a trophy, he left the club to take over Rapid Bucuresti.
Hopefully, Chivu will have better luck and steer the Nerazzurri back to success.
But it won't be easy.
'It's a great thing for us Romanians and for his career,' Lucescu said. 'Hopefully, Romanian players will come after him as well.
'He is very well known there, even though the task won't be easy. He used to coach Parma, which is a smaller team.
'Inter is a team of great value. We hope he finds inspiration and makes the right choices, even though Inter is an aging team.
'We'll see. They started with a 5-0 loss in the final against PSG; it won't be easy.
'However, I'm convinced that a whole generation of young people will start supporting Inter.'

Report – Inter Milan Offered Fenerbahce & Morocco Midfielder
Serie A giants Inter Milan reportedly have a chance to sign Fenerbahce midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. According to FCInter1908, Amrabat's representatives have reportedly offered his services to the Nerazzurri. It could be an attempt to capitalize on Inter's ongoing pursuit of a new deep-lying midfielder. Despite signing a permanent contract with Fenerbahce only two months ago, Amrabat is seeking a way back to Serie A. Indeed, he left Fiorentina for Istanbul last summer but now wants to return to Italian football. (Photo by) At 28, Amrabat is at his peak and could be a decent coup for Inter. Indeed, his tactical awareness and ability to control the midfield with sharp passing make him an attractive option. Furthermore, the Moroccan international is not afraid to get his hands dirty, making him a nightmare for opposing forwards. However, he is only one of several players on Inter's radar.

Real Madrid squad sign summer arrival's jersey after debut vs Osasuna
The Real Madrid first-team squad came together to provide new teammate Álvaro Carreras with a special memento on the back of their meeting with Osasuna on Tuesday. This comes after the Spaniard was afforded his starting debut in the colours of Los Blancos. Real Madrid, of course, are fresh off kicking the club's 2025/26 campaign into gear yesterday evening. After welcoming the aforementioned Osasuna to the Santiago Bernabéu for a La Liga clash, a solitary goal on the part of Kylian Mbappé proved enough to guide Xabi Alonso's troops to all three points. Featuring from the off in the matchup, from his berth at left-back, meanwhile, was summer signing Álvaro Carreras. As much marked something of a dream fulfilled for Carreras, who spent the early years of his career developing on the books of Real Madrid. Post-match, the 22-year-old, in turn, secured for himself a memento by which to remember the clash. Following the full-time whistle on Tuesday, Carreras had his match-worn shirt signed by his new teammates, a nice touch on the part of Xabi Alonso's squad: Conor Laird – GSFN

Report – Rayo Vallecano To Pull Out Of Talks For Inter Milan & Argentina Defender
Problems keep piling up for Inter Milan, with Rayo Vallecano set to withdraw from talks to sign Tomas Palacios. According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Spaniards are drifting away, leaving Inter with fewer options to offload their flop. Despite emerging as the strongest contenders to sign the 22-year-old, Rayo Vallecano are having second thoughts. Indeed, they are reportedly ready to call off their pursuit of Tomas Palacios, giving Inter another reason for concern. (Photo by) As if missing out on Giovanni Leoni's signature wasn't troubling enough, Inter cannot catch a break on the outgoing market. Leoni has joined Liverpool for a reported fee of €35 million despite Inter's long-standing interest in his services. However, that's the least of Inter's problems. Indeed, the San Siro giants aim to offload Palacios, whom they signed from Independiente Rivadavia last summer. Yet, like in the case of Kristjan Asllani, they cannot find an agreement with potential suitors, leaving the player's future uncertain.
