McQueen has dropped a demure Ramadan collection
McQueen's Ramadan collection draws inspiration from nature. It boasts blush floral-printed daywear and fluid and refined crepe de chine separates, including a wide-leg pyjama trouser, an oversized shirt, a draped skirt, and a midi shirt dress with bib detailing.
Two evening dresses are available. The blush crepe de chine tunic comes with a twisted draped neckline, and the delicate chiffon cape dress includes an intricately embellished neck with crystals.
Accessories are also available. The T-Bar bag, T-Bar clutch and Birdee ruched mules are in vivid fuchsia python, and the T-Bar bag, T-Bar clutch and T-Bar sandal are in black suede with light-refracting gold crystal embellishment.
The McQueen label is a British luxury fashion house. Created by the designer Alexander McQueen, he was born in Lewisham, London. He trained as an apprentice on Savile Row, and studied at Central Saint Martins. He hit the headlines for its controversial collections. His graduate collection caught the attention of the fashion editor, Isabella Blow.
Over the years, his collections were synonymous with individuality and strength, and the runway shows were theatrical spectacles. He went from being worn by models to royalty. Sarah Burton, the former Creative Director of Alexander McQueen, designed the wedding dress for the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
The McQueen Ramadan collection is also available in Doha and Kuwait.

Where Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid visits when in London, from Harrods to Saddle Cafe
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has long been a regular visitor to London, often spotted at some of the city's most exclusive landmarks. From leisurely strolls in Hyde Park to shopping trips in Knightsbridge, his visits reflect his connection to the UK capital. This summer he was seen at luxury department store Harrods, where he stopped by Somewhere Cafe. Founded by Emirati entrepreneur Amal Al Marri and Saudi businesswoman Deem Al Bassam, the cafe has built a following overseas, and his visit highlighted its growing international presence. The cafe opened its London outpost in December. This latest stop is just one of many over the years. Here are some of the London locations he has visited. The restaurants Parker's at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel Sheikh Mohammed was the first official guest at Parker's in the Jumeirah Lowndes hotel when it opened in 2024. A popular home-grown Dubai eatery with Emirati owners, it is also famed for its viral Matilda cake, an indulgent chocolate creation inspired by the Roald Dahl book. Parker's was founded in 2015 as a pop-up in Al Khazzan Park, one of Dubai's oldest neighbourhood parks. It then opened its original flagship outlet in Dubai Mall in 2016. The concept comes from UAE hospitality company Independent Food, the same group behind the region's beloved burger venture Salt. Saddle London in Knightsbridge Sheikh Mohammed has also been spotted having coffee at Saddle. Founded by Emirati entrepreneur Mohamed M Al Falasi in 2017, Saddle first launched as a speciality coffee truck. It quickly gained popularity for its all-day breakfast and coffee, leading Al Falasi to expand the concept into a coffee chain known as Saddle Cafe. He further expanded by opening a restaurant called Saddle House. Today, the brand has 21 locations in five countries, including Riyadh, Cannes and Saint Tropez. Saddle London offers a menu filled with items such as pistachio milkshake, acai bowls and a selection of breakfast options. Shopping and leisure Shatha Essa Kids at Harrods Last year, Sheikh Mohammed met Emirati designer Shatha Essa Al Mulla at her retail space in Harrods. Al Mulla shared a photo of herself with the ruler of Dubai and thanked him for his "unlimited support". Al Mulla launched her eponymous modestwear label in Dubai in 2016. She added childrenswear in 2023 and the retail space at Harrods in 2024. Part of an initiative by Dubai Culture, Shatha Essa Kids is sold in a dedicated section of Harrods located on the fourth floor. All pieces, created for toddlers and girls up to the age of 14, were designed and produced in Dubai, Al Mulla says. Harrods is a famous luxury department store in Knightsbridge. Opened in 1849, it has become synonymous with opulence and exclusivity, with more than 300 departments spread across seven floors. Everything from high-end fashion and jewellery to gourmet food halls are available. Hyde Park Sheikh Mohammed has visited the historic public park many times. In 2023, he visited with his brother, Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid. The 140-hectare historic Royal Park is the largest of the green spaces that form a chain from Kensington Palace to St James's Palace, also including Kensington Gardens, Green Park and St James's Park.

Lara Trump's music career explained, from French Montana to Mohamed Ramadan
is making the most of his US appearances this year. Fresh from his Coachella festival debut in April, the Egyptian pop star posted a picture of himself with Lara Trump – the former Fox News host turned budding musician and daughter-in-law of US President Donald Trump. The occasion was a New York gala called Make Music Right, an organisation that, according to its website, focuses on "enlightening Americans on music's role in shaping perspectives and promoting a music culture that upholds traditional values and elevates American society". While Trump was a keynote speaker and Ramadan a guest, the latter suggested their meeting was more than a networking opportunity. He hinted at a possible musical collaboration, posting: "Something great is on the horizon, inshallah". The potential release raises questions about who would benefit most. After dominating Arab pop charts for more than a decade, Ramadan has been making a concerted effort to expand his brand internationally, with performances across Africa, in addition to his Coachella appearance. As for Trump, working with Ramadan wouldn't be entirely out of tune. The former television presenter has already released a single with Moroccan-American rapper French Montana this year as part of a two-year music catalogue that many are only now discovering. Here are three things you need to know about her unlikely music career. 1. She began with a hit cover of Tom Petty tune Even Trump herself wasn't sure if a music career was on the cards when releasing her debut single, I Won't Back Down, in 2023, a cover of the 1989 Tom Petty hit. A more languid take on the original, with Trump's huskier vocals pitched in a lower register, she promoted the track on Fox & Friends by explaining it "was something I wanted to do for fun. I recorded it over the winter and thought, let's put it out and see what happens." It turned out to be fortuitous. The song – released without a label – cracked the top 10 of Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart and reached sixth place on the country chart. What perhaps made the success even sweeter was that the original I Won't Back Down had been used by President Trump during his unsuccessful 2020 re-election campaign, prompting the Petty estate to issue a public cease-and-desist notice. 2. She then turned towards inspirational country-pop Trump announced herself as an artist last year with two original works, both styled as inspirational anthems and following a country-pop template. First up was Anything Is Possible, followed by Hero, the latter a plaintive piano ballad co-written with up-and-coming country singer Madeline Jaymes and dedicated to US emergency services personnel. The gracious sentiments didn't shield either song from critical reception on social media, where listeners noted the heavy-handed use of auto-tune on Trump's vocals – particularly jarring in a genre historically prizing vocal authenticity. 3. And now she has gone full pop with the help of French Montana A brash musical left turn and one of the most unexpected collaborations of the year, Trump teamed up with French Montana on No Days Off, a slick electro-pop track in which Trump projects a more assertive persona. "I'm a little hard to read / You only know what they show you when you turn on the TV / So think of this as a reboot," she delivers in clipped phrases. Montana eventually chimes in, boasting of his new friendship: "Me and Lara at your front porch, knock knock". No Days Off failed to gain traction, and a reported future collaboration with Gims was denied by the French-Congolese rapper himself. If a potential song with Ramadan materialises, it could follow this template of unlikely cross-cultural partnerships. Whatever happens next, more music appears inevitable. According to Newsweek, she incorporated the business LT Music LLC in April, suggesting her musical ambitions remain undimmed for the time being.
