A viral video claiming to show an Indian man being deported from the United Kingdom after living there for three decades has stirred strong reactions on social media. The clip, first posted on TikTok by user Deepa Rangra Wala, shows the man being driven to the airport by friends. Text over the video reads: 'Deport after 30 years from UK.'
In the footage, a man can be heard speaking Punjabi, saying: "It has been 30 years since he arrived in England. He never had the right papers to stay. Today they are deporting him. We are here to drop him to the airport ourselves. This is our last bit of time with our brother. He worked here for 30 years, got his family settled, but now he has to go back to India."
The TikTok video was later shared on Instagram by UB1UB2: Southall, West London, with the caption: 'Poor lad.'
Mixed Reactions from the Public
The post quickly gained over 200,000 views, with people expressing everything from sympathy to scepticism. One commenter said it was 'quite upsetting but hope he lives a good life,' while another questioned the situation: 'After 33 years in the UK, he would not be deported unless criminal activity was involved.'Some wondered about his friendships, asking: 'Where are all the English people he made friends with during that time?' Others tried to remain optimistic: 'Hope he becomes a billionaire in India.'Many social media users criticised the alleged deportation. One wrote: 'He should have been granted citizenship; he lived in the country for 30 years.' Another accused the UK of double standards: 'Deporting working class so they can get people that claim benefits, typical UK style.'
While the exact details of the man's immigration status remain unclear, the video has reignited discussions about long-term migrants, citizenship rights, and the complexities of immigration law.

Allotted Rajat Patidar's old number, Chhattisgarh man says he fielded calls from Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers

In a remote village in Chhattisgarh, a man was stupefied when he along with his friend claimed they began fielding calls from legends Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers after he activated a SIM card. They also claimed other players of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) calling Manish Bisi, who is in his 20s, a resident of Madagaon, in Chhattisgarh's Gariaband district. Stumped by the fact that his phone was buzzing with calls from the superstars, he tossed it over to his friend Khemraj Bisi, naturally assuming that the callers were pranksters. In fact, Manish, by a stroke of sheer luck, had been allotted the SIM card of Rajat Patidar. Khemraj told mediapersons that he was handling Manish's phone 'as he was scared'. 'First I got a call from Virat Kohli sir. Then Yash Dayal sir called, who asked why I was using the phone of Rajat Patidar… I said that it is not his number,' he told reporters in Chhattisgarh. In a significant change, Patidar was handed over the captaincy of RCB from Kohli, who led the team to its first IPL title in 18 years. 'Kohli sir called two or three minutes later and asked why we were using Patidar's number and using his WhatsApp. We said we did not. Then half an hour later, we got a call from AB de Villiers sir,' said Khemraj, adding that they 'didn't understand English'. The raging confusion culminated after 'police arrived in our village in the next 10 minutes', claimed Khemraj. 'We learnt it was a VIP number,' he said. The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Devbhog police station in Gariaband district. Though the euphoria of speaking on the phone to global figures, something millions can only dream of, was short-lived, Khemraj was 'happy' to speak to 'King Kohli', declaring that he was 'big RCB fan'. 'I have kept Kohli sir's photos in my shop and at home,' Khemraj claimed. Manish Bisi's father Gajendra, a farmer, told reporters, 'It is a matter of great happiness that my son spoke with Virat Kohli.' Another villager Tikendra Bisi said that after the police came to their village, 'I took Manish to the police station. The Inspector said this is a VIP number, and the SIM card was registered in RCB captain Rajat Patidar's name. By mistake, it got allotted to Manish Bisi. They asked us whether we want to return the SIM and we agreed'. Deputy SP of Gariaband district Nisha Sinha disentangled the incredulous chain of events. 'Rajat Patidar was not using a SIM card for 90 days and as per the terms and conditions of the service provider, the SIM card was deactivated and later it was allotted to another person named Manish Bisi who lives in the jurisdiction of Devbhog police station.' 'After speaking with the Indore cyber cell, the SIM card, with the permission of Manish Bisi, has been handed over to Rajat Patidar. As Patidar was using this SIM card earlier, other cricketers were calling on that number. Patidar then contacted Cyber Cell in Madhya Pradesh and requested them to return his SIM and on that basis we took action. There is no legal issue or fault on anyone's part,' Sinha said.
