NSFC and Kelantan TRW dominate FA Cup round of 16 first leg matches
Jovan Motika opened the scoring in the first minute with a stunning free-kick from outside the box.
PDRM's task became harder when Agbre Noel was sent off in the ninth minute for fouling Joseph Esso.
Motika doubled NSFC's lead in the 40th minute before Esso made it 3-0 just before halftime.
Substitute Mio Tsuneyasu added the fourth in the 76th minute, with Esso sealing the rout three minutes later.
In Kota Bharu, Kelantan The Real Warriors (TRW) overpowered KL City FC 3-1 at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium.
Ifedayo Omosuyi struck twice in the first 17 minutes to put Kelantan in control.
Sean Selvaraj extended the lead to 3-0 in the 65th minute before Syamer Kutty Abba scored a late consolation for KL City.

Buriram keep Selangor guessing with 16 foreign stars
KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor are bracing for a stern test against defending champions Buriram United in their Asean Club Championship (ACC) Group A opener at the Chang Arena on Wednesday. Buriram, nicknamed Thunder Castle, swept four titles last season, including the Thai League 1, FA Cup and League Cup, before adding the ACC crown. Negri coach warns players to stay grounded despite Police rout
KUALA LUMPUR: Negri Sembilan coach Nidzam Jamil has urged his players to remain grounded despite a strong start to the season that saw them thrash Police 5-0 in the first leg of the FA Cup first round on Monday. The win puts the Deer in a strong position for a quarter-final spot. Jovan Motika (second, 40th minutes) and Joseph Esso (43rd, 79th) each scored a brace while Mio Tsuneyasu (75th) complete the rout. Earlier, Negri had started their Super League campaign with a 5-3 defeat to heavyweights Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT). Nidzam stressed that the team are still a work in progress and reminded his players that they have yet to finish the job against Police. The return leg is scheduled for Sept 12. "We still have one more game to play in the FA Cup," the former international said at a post-match press conference. "We have not qualified for the next round (quarter-finals) although we got a good result. "After the first goal, we were quiet for 20 minutes, but we fixed a few things and then it was okay. "The most important thing is that Motika is playing for the team and we are happy he's scoring, along with Esso. But it's still early in the season and our journey is a long one. "There are still plenty of things to improve. This is a long process as we've only been together for eight weeks, nine including pre-season. "At senior level, time is limited but we are working to make the team better. We need to produce good performances and results to convince the supporters, and I hope they will be patient with the process." Negri will now turn their attention to a Super League match against Selangor in Paroi on Sunday. Nidzam said the team will be without Ghanaian midfielder Alex Agyarkwa, who is on loan from the Red Giants. "I'm not sure if we can say we are in good form yet," Nidzam said. "We will miss Alex against Selangor. We gave An Sang Su 30 minutes against Police to help him build momentum.

JDT and Selangor carry Malaysia's challenge in Asean Club C'ships
PETALING JAYA: Super League clubs Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and Selangor will fly the Jalur Gemilang as the second edition of the Asean Club Championships kicks off this week. Both clubs have been handed blockbuster opening fixtures. Treble winners JDT, who swept the Malaysia Super League, FA Cup and Malaysia Cup last season, make their long-awaited debut in the regional competition with a Causeway clash against Singapore's Lion City Sailors at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri on Thursday (Aug 21). The Sailors, fresh off their own domestic double, will be looking for redemption after failing to progress beyond the group stage last year. On Wednesday (Aug 20), Selangor face an equally daunting task when they travel to Thailand to meet reigning champions Buriram United at the Chang Arena in Buriram.
