Anthony Richardson bounces back On Saturday, the offense worked in the red zone, and it was a particularly rough showing for Richardson. He would finish the 11-on-11 periods that day, completing just 1-of-6 passes. However, on Sunday, he was able to bounce back. According to Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan, Richardson was 11-of-16 during the 11-on-11 periods. "It was one of the most check down/running back specific throwing days I can recall from the young signal caller," wrote Bowen. Bad days are going to happen in the NFL. so being able to rebound is a must, and Richardson was able to do that. Bowen noted that Daniel Jones was 2-of-7 passing to begin practice in a session where the Colts were trying to push the ball downfield. He finished the day 9-of-16 overall. Shane Steichen names the Colts' starting QB vs. Green Bay Daniel Jones will start against the Packers. This was the plan prior to the preseason starting, but the playing time will be altered. After Richardson's outing against Baltimore was cut short and Jones saw 31 plays on offense, Jones will play a couple of series before Richardson takes over for the remainder of the first half. That way, over the two-game sample size, both quarterbacks will have roughly the same number of opportunities. More injuries for the Colts Not practicing on Sunday were safety Nick Cross and defensive end Kwity Paye. Cross is working through a hip flexor injury, and Paye has a groin injury. During practice, cornerback Kenny Moore would drop out with a right knee injury, and so would Alec Pierce with a groin injury. As Nate Atkins of the Indy Star reported, there isn't any real indication of how serious any of these injuries are. Jaylon Jones and JuJu Brents both remain sidelined with hamstring injuries.

Not on the practice field on Sunday were safety Nick Cross and defensive end Kwity Paye. According to the Indy Star's Nate Atkins, Cross has a hip flexor injury and Paye a groin. Then during the training camp practice, both Kenny Moore and Alec Pierce would exit. According to ESPN's Stephen Holder, Moore had an "apparent issue" with his right knee and seemed to be in "intense pain." Moore would walk off slowly after a trainer came over. The Colts are already very thin at cornerback with Justin Walley out for the season with an ACL injury, while JuJu Brents and Jaylon Jones work through hamstring injuries. Not long after, Pierce also exited. According to the Indy Star's Joel Erickson, Pierce briefly left the field to be examined but did return with a trainer to test something out. However, he left the field shortly after that with a trainer. Following the practice, it was announced that Pierce has a groin injury and Moore a knee injury. Atkins would add that there isn't any real indication of how serious any of the four injuries are.
