Mid air fight breaks out on Air Asia flight from Kuala Lumpur to China
Footage shows several people wrestling in the middle of an Air Asia flight from Kuala Lumpur to China.
The fight erupted after a father who was seated behind a row of three young women got furious when they carried on 'talking loudly'.
He asked them to be quiet, but the female passengers reportedly refused.
Tensions erupted when the dad shouted and said: 'Shut up … are you stupid? I want to sleep.'
Footage shows a woman in a green outfit and baseball cap leaning across the seat while repeatedly throwing punches at the man – who cowered beneath the food tray.
Desperate Air Asia cabin crew in the company's distinctive red dresses can be seen wrestling with those involved in the fight.
A female attendant screamed at them to sit back in their places as the scrap was finally brought under control.
A woman on-board the flight who recorded the video said the fistfight began around midway through the journey.
She added: 'We were sitting behind the row of women and listened to the quarrel.
'They were chatting too loudly while the lights were turned off, and the man in front asked them to be silent because he wanted to sleep.
'The mother of one of the women then joined in. The friends then went up to attack the man. There were two women fighting the male passenger.'
Officials at the Airport Public Security Bureau of the Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department have now launched an investigation, the Daily Mail reports.
It comes after a passenger wearing a 'too busy doing nothing' top was dragged off the jet after demanding an aisle seat for his big frame.
The entitled passenger reportedly complained there was not enough room in his window seat on the Thai Lion Air flight taking off from Bangkok.
Meanwhile, a woman allegedly threatened to crash a plane in India during a row with cabin staff just days after the deadly Air India disaster.
Footage showed the passenger yelling at passengers and crew on board the flight.

A man has sparked chaos after announcing he had 'a bomb' during a flight to Glasgow on Sunday morning. Disturbing footage shows the moment passengers on the 7am easyJet flight from London's Luton Airport tackled the man after he yelled out 'Death to America' and 'Death to Trump.' He then screamed 'Find the bomb on the plane' before chanting 'Allahu Akbar,' which translates to 'God is great' in Arabic. As he's being escorted off the plane he can be heard questioning the whereabouts of his phone and wallet to which a passenger yells 'F**k off,' drawing laughs from the plane. A spokesperson for easyJet told local media: 'Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow this morning was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behaviour on board. 'easyJet's crew are trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety on the flight and other customers are not compromised at any time. 'The safety of our customers and crew is always easyJet's highest priority,' they said. A Police Scotland spokesperson also added that the man 'remains in custody.' 'We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow around 8.20am on Sunday, 27 July. 'Officers boarded the plane on its arrival and a 41-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody. Enquiries are continuing. 'At this time we believe the incident was contained and that nobody else was involved. 'We are aware of videos circulating online and these are being assessed by counter terrorism officers,' they said. One woman took to Facebook to detail and the 'frightening and traumatic' experience. 'This is what happened this morning. I was sleepy and tired and ten minutes before landing a random man stood up and shouted, 'I have a bomb and I am going to kill everyone. F**k Donald Trump.' 'It was so frightening and traumatic.' The incident comes amid President Trump's five-day visit to Scotland that has seen mass protests break out across the country, with residents displaying signs such as: 'Scotland hates Trump' and 'Veto the Cheeto.'

Head of China's Shaolin Temple removed over embezzlement claims
The head of the Chinese temple known as the birthplace of kung fu will be disrobed for "extremely" bad behaviour, Beijing's top Buddhist authority said Monday, after allegations of embezzlement saw him placed under investigation. The Shaolin Temple said on Sunday that Abbot Shi Yongxin, known as the "CEO monk" for establishing dozens of companies abroad, was suspected of "embezzling project funds and temple assets". The monastery said Shi had "seriously violated Buddhist precepts", including by allegedly engaging in "improper relationships" with multiple women. "Multiple departments" were conducting a joint investigation, it said in a statement on WeChat. In response, the Buddhist Association of China, overseen by the ruling Communist Party, said Monday it would cancel Shi's certificate of ordination. "Shi Yongxin's actions are of an extremely bad nature, seriously undermining the reputation of the Buddhist community, hurting the image of monks," the association said in an online statement. The association "firmly supports the decision to deal with Shi Yongxin in accordance with the law". Shi had previously been accused by former monks of embezzling money from a temple-run company, maintaining a fleet of luxury cars and fathering children with multiple women. China's government exercises authority over the appointment of religious leaders, and "improper" conduct is often grounds for removal from office. A hashtag related to the temple scandal had been viewed more than 560 million times on social media platform Weibo as of Monday morning. The last post to the abbot's personal account on Weibo declared: "when one's own nature is pure, the pure land is here in the present". Shi faced similar allegations in 2015 which the temple called "vicious libel". Shi, 59, took office as abbot in 1999 and in the following decades expanded Shaolin studies and cultural knowledge overseas. He helped the temple establish dozens of companies -- but received backlash for commercialising Buddhism. The temple, established in AD 495, is known as the birthplace of Zen Buddhism and Chinese kung fu. ‘Going to bash me': Man involved in Paul Kent brawl claims self defence
A man who was involved in a wild brawl with Paul Kent has told a court that he was afraid the rugby league journalist and commentator was going to 'bash' him during a now-infamous incident outside a Sydney restaurant. Tamer Uzun, 37, on Monday appeared in Manly Local Court for a hearing after pleading not guilty to one count of affray stemming from his altercation with Kent outside Totti's Rozelle in April last year. In footage which quickly went viral on social media, Kent pushed past several people before trading blows with Mr Uzun on the public street, with the fight ending when Kent was thrown into a tree. The prosecution has argued Mr Uzun threw punches and failed to de-escalate the incident when he continued to trade verbal barbs with Kent and took off his jumper. Police prosecutor Sergeant Adrian Walsh told the court on Monday that Mr Uzun threw punches before grabbing and throwing Kent into a tree. However Mr Uzun's solicitor Bryan Wrench told the court his client was acting in self defence. He said that Mr Uzun, who was sober at the time, was wrongly accused of making comments towards Kent. 'Mr Kent is the person provoking the incident and our client has had to defend himself,' Mr Wrench told the court. Mr Wrench told the court that a 'thoroughly intoxicated' Kent had consumed 21 beers over 11 hours at the nearby Sackville Hotel and was walking home at the time of the confrontation. Mr Uzun told the court on Monday that he was at the popular restaurant for a birthday and was waiting outside for his partner. Video played to the court showed Kent and another man walking past but they doubled back and accused Uzun and his friend of 's---potting' him. In court on Monday, Mr Uzun denied that either he or his friend made a comment to provoke Kent. 'At the start I thought it was a joke,' Mr Uzun told the court. 'I didn't know what he was talking about, we were laughing about the accusations.' Mr Uzun said he told Kent to 'f--k off' and 'keep going'. He said that backed up as Kent was 'swearing and carrying on'. Mr Uzun told the court that Kent took off his watch and pushed past several people to ignite the brawl. Asked what his state of mind was at that point, Mr Uzun said: 'This bloke's going to bash me.' He said he attempted to strike Kent as the brawl spilled onto the roadway. 'And that's when he ended upside down in the tree,' Mr Uzun said. He said that he was crash tackled into the gutter by a man who was with Kent. When he got up, Mr Uzun told the court that Kent abused him again and spat at him. He told the court that he went back into the restaurant, asked for the manager and requested they preserve CCTV footage. He suffered bruises on his neck and head and grazes on his shoulder. Sgt Walsh told the court that Uzun 'beckoned' Kent and moved towards him on a number of occasions despite the presence of a security guard. 'I didn't want a fight,' Mr Uzun told the court. He also asked him why he had taken off his jumper and handed it to his friend and had not walked back into the restaurant. 'That was you throwing Mr Kent into a tree,' Sgt Walsh asked. 'Push Mr Kent away,' Mr Uzun replied. 'You agree it was more of a throw,' Sgt Walsh asked. 'A bit of both,' Mr Uzun said. The hearing before Magistrate Michael Blair continues. Kent in July last year failed in his bid to have a one charge of affray dealt with on mental health grounds before he pleaded guilty. Kent did not have a conviction recorded against him and he was sentenced to a two-year good behaviour bond. He departed Fox Sports and The Daily Telegraph following the incident.
