on Tuesday said Haryana residents should have the first right to the state's jobs.
Hooda questioned if all other states give priority to locals in their jobs, why Haryana's BJP govt does not do so.

He said the youth of Haryana needed jobs the most, as Haryana had the highest number of unemployed youth. It is No. 1 state in the country in terms of unemployment, he said.
The senior leader accused the BJP of moving ahead with a policy that completely deprives youth of jobs. He claimed that rules were being deliberately made for govt recruitments that benefit the youth of other states.
"The recent recruitment of assistant engineers in the irrigation department is a clear example of this.
It is surprising that in this recruitment, 28 people from other states were given jobs in 42 posts of the general category. It is highly condemnable as 70% of the HPSC jobs are given to non-Haryana residents," claimed Hooda.
The former CM mentioned that this injustice was earlier meted out to the local youth in many recruitments, from the SDO and the BDPO to the lecturers.
Hooda also lamented that the general knowledge related to Haryana had been completely eliminated from the syllabus of the assistant environmental engineer recruitment by the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC).
Not only this, the HPSC has also given permission to those candidates to apply for the HCS exam who do not have a Haryana domicile, he added. "Civil Judge recruitment was done in which outside candidates were recruited on 60 out of 110 posts. In the technical education department, outsiders were selected on 106 out of 153 posts of the general category," he said.
Hooda recalled that the BJP had come to power for the third time in Haryana by promising to give 2 lakh permanent jobs, but no process had been started for recruitments so far.

"The govt is not even able to conduct the CET. Meanwhile, when the results of the few recruitments that are already pending are released, there are more people from other states than Haryana. This is a direct attack on the future of the youth of the state. The Congress will oppose this at every level," he said.

Azamgarh/Gorakhpur: Accusing the previous govts of turning Azamgarh into a "terror hub", Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that BJP's double engine govt brought major development to the district giving it a new identity and making it the fortress of "indomitable courage" under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The CM on Friday inaugurated the 91.35-km long Gorakhpur Link Expressway, built at a cost of Rs 7,283 crore, from both its start and end points in Azamgarh and Gorakhpur, respectively, and said that the project would boost connectivity and redefine growth. The expressway, which connects Gorakhpur to Lucknow, will reduce travel time to just 3.5 hours, and will also bring down the travel time from Gorakhpur to Delhi by two hours. Besides improving connectivity, the expressway will have industrial clusters along it which will accelerate development in eastern UP.
