'Wickedness of the evil forces': RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat calls for Hindus to unify to make Bharat mighty
NEW DELHI: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat reiterated the need to unify Hindu society and build Bharat into a formidable military and economic power, capable of withstanding the "wickedness of the evil forces" along all its borders.
In an interview with the RSS-affiliated weekly magazine Organiser, Bhagwat said, 'There are evil forces in the world that are aggressive by nature.'
'We have no option but to be powerful, as we have been witnessing the wickedness of the evil forces on all our borders,' he added.
He further stressed: 'True strength is internal. We should be able to defend ourselves. No one should be able to conquer us—not even if multiple powers come together.'
The magazine noted that this conversation took place before Operation Sindoor at the Organiser-Panchjanya office, ahead of the RSS's Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha scheduled for March 21–23.
Bhagwat reiterated, 'A virtuous person is not safe just because of his virtues. Hence, virtues should be combined with strength. Mere brute power can be directionless, leading to blatant violence. Therefore, power should be combined with righteousness.'

When asked about global human rights defenders' concern for Hindus facing oppression in neighbouring countries, Bhagwat suggested that support would only come when Hindus demonstrate strength.
'As Hindu society and Bharat are intertwined, the glory of Hindu society will bring glory to Bharat. Such a strong Hindu society can present a model for including the people of Bharat who no longer consider themselves Hindus—as they, too, were once Hindus.'
'If Hindu society in Bharat becomes strong, then automatically Hindus will gain strength globally,' he asserted.
Bhagwat acknowledged that efforts to strengthen Hindu society are underway, noting that progress is 'slow but steady.'
'Slowly but surely, the situation is evolving,' he said, adding, 'This time, the way anguish over atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh has been expressed is unprecedented. Even local Hindus (in Bangladesh) now say — 'We won't flee. We'll stay and fight for our rights.''

Irate HC intimates contempt against 2 chief secys
Chennai: Expressing deep anguish and displeasure towards the attitude of Tamil Nadu chief secretary in disrespecting court orders, Madras high court initiated suo motu contempt of court proceedings against the officers who served as the chief secretary to the govt from Sep 19, 2023. "This court is expressing its deep anguish and displeasure towards the attitude of the chief secretary in disrespecting the court orders and executing them in true letter and spirit," Justice Battu Devanand said. "As the chief secretary, who is the head of the executive of the state, does not implement the court order and takes it lightly, this court cannot expect that his subordinate officers would implement the orders in true letter and spirit," the court added. The court passed the order on four petitions in which the court directed the govt to implement the scheme of compassionate appointment from 1972 to 2023. The high court passed the order while allowing the pleas moved by legal heirs of deceased govt employees against infirmities in implementing Tamil Nadu Civil Service (Appointment on Compassionate Grounds) Rules, 2023. The court directed the state to consider the suggestion for feasibility to maintain a state-wise list of the dependants for compassionate appointment and to take steps to obtain a report from the committee within two months. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Fastest Selling Plots of Mysore from 40L | 40+ Amenities PurpleBrick Learn More Undo The court also directed the chief secretary that the action taken report be placed before this court within three months . On June 6, the court was informed that no such report was filed within the time prescribed by the court. Recording the submission, the court said, "After considering all these facts, this court is of the prima facie opinion that the chief secretary failed to comply with the order of this court in true letter and spirit." On several occasions, this court noticed that only after the filing of contempt cases and after issuing statutory notice for the appearance of the officers, the authorities choose to file appeals with delay condonation petitions. No doubt, it is the right of the respondents to file appeals. But it has to be filed within the time stipulated for the limitation of filing of appeals, the court said. The court then adjourned the hearing to June 20.

LOP's desperation over Congress losses on display: BJP
NEW DELHI: Top BJP functionaries including party president J P Nadda and Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday reacted vehemently to Congress member Rahul Gandhi's latest claim questioning the Maharashtra assembly polls, saying that the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha was reflecting his desperation after his party's losses and the looming one in Bihar assembly polls. "Rahul Gandhi's latest article is a blueprint for manufacturing fake narratives, owing to his sadness and desperation of losing election after election," said Nadda in response to Gandhi's article which appeared in a national daily on Saturday. Citing factors that "doomed" Congress in recent polls, Nadda said Congress gets defeated election after election due to his (Rahul Gandhi's) antics. "Instead of introspecting, he cooks up bizarre conspiracies and cries rigging. Ignores all facts and data. Defames institutions with zero proof and hopes for headlines over facts," the BJP president said in a post on X. Nadda said despite being exposed time and again, Rahul shamelessly keeps peddling lies. "And, he is doing this because a defeat in Bihar is certain," he said adding that democracy doesn't need drama but truth. Pradhan said Rahul Gandhi's post on Maharashtra elections is nothing more than a predictable script-lose elections, discredit institutions, fabricate conspiracies, and portray himself as a victim of an imaginary system. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 신차장기렌트 첫달 렌트료 전액지원해드립니다. 신차장기렌트센터 더 알아보기 Undo "But India's democracy is far stronger than the insecurities of a dynast who refuses to accept repeated electoral verdicts," Pradhan, a prominent OBC face of BJP, said. He said it there's any rigging Rahul should be worried about, it's the kind his own party mastered for decades-from Emergency to misusing Article 356 over 90 times to dismiss opposition govts. "Let's not forget, this is the same Rahul Gandhi who falsely claimed in Cambridge that Indian democracy is 'dead', yet participates in elections, campaigns freely, and blames EVMs only when he loses," the senior BJP functionary said.

Aaditya Thackeray could experience jail this monsoon, says Nitesh Rane
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: During his visit to Tuljapur in Dharashiv, BJP minister Nitesh Rane said Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray might face imprisonment in the coming monsoon period. Rane suggested that discussions about Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS merger are being circulated to deflect attention from ED's investigation of actor Dino Morea, whom he identified as Aaditya Thackeray's friend. "All details have arrived in the (Dino Morea) case, and (Sena-UBT chief) Uddhav Thackeray's son could soon experience a jail trip this monsoon," he said. The fisheries and ports minister emphasised on the connection between Aaditya Thackeray and Morea. The ED conducted searches at various sites, including Morea's Mumbai residence, investigating the Rs 65 crore Mithi river desilting scam. The agency has summoned Morea for questioning next week. Regarding the potential merger between Sena (UBT) and MNS, Rane described it as a private matter between the Thackeray cousins. "They fought each other without consulting us, and will not tell us now if they plan to unite," he said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Rane also said both Sena (UBT) and MNS have no combined political strength, considering their minimal legislative representation. "They hate the Hindu religion, criticise mega events like Maha Kumbh," he added. Leader of opposition in the state legislative council Ambadas Danve, however, dismissed Rane's statements, describing him as politically inexperienced and suggesting that even BJP members don't take his comments seriously. "Rane is known for talking nonsense, and there is no need to react to his remarks on Aditya Thackeray," he told TOI. At a subsequent party gathering in Dharashiv, Rane emphasised BJP's supremacy and its rightful claim to the chief minister's position. "No matter how much power someone shows, no matter how anyone throws tantrums, remember that the country has BJP's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the state has Devendra Fadnavis as chief minister," he said. These remarks came amidst tensions between local BJP and Shiv Sena units regarding District Development and Planning Council work sanctions in Dharashiv.
