'Wickedness of the evil forces': RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat calls for Hindus to unify to make Bharat mighty
In an interview with the RSS-affiliated weekly magazine Organiser, Bhagwat said, 'There are evil forces in the world that are aggressive by nature.'
'We have no option but to be powerful, as we have been witnessing the wickedness of the evil forces on all our borders,' he added.
He further stressed: 'True strength is internal. We should be able to defend ourselves. No one should be able to conquer us—not even if multiple powers come together.'
The magazine noted that this conversation took place before Operation Sindoor at the Organiser-Panchjanya office, ahead of the RSS's Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha scheduled for March 21–23.
Bhagwat reiterated, 'A virtuous person is not safe just because of his virtues. Hence, virtues should be combined with strength. Mere brute power can be directionless, leading to blatant violence. Therefore, power should be combined with righteousness.'

When asked about global human rights defenders' concern for Hindus facing oppression in neighbouring countries, Bhagwat suggested that support would only come when Hindus demonstrate strength.
'As Hindu society and Bharat are intertwined, the glory of Hindu society will bring glory to Bharat. Such a strong Hindu society can present a model for including the people of Bharat who no longer consider themselves Hindus—as they, too, were once Hindus.'
'If Hindu society in Bharat becomes strong, then automatically Hindus will gain strength globally,' he asserted.
Bhagwat acknowledged that efforts to strengthen Hindu society are underway, noting that progress is 'slow but steady.'
'Slowly but surely, the situation is evolving,' he said, adding, 'This time, the way anguish over atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh has been expressed is unprecedented. Even local Hindus (in Bangladesh) now say — 'We won't flee. We'll stay and fight for our rights.''

A play during an Independence Day programme at a school in Gujarat's Bhavnagar has triggered a row about the alleged depiction of women wearing burqas as terrorists, The Indian Express reported. Videos of the cultural programme were widely shared on social media. On Tuesday, District Education Officer Hitendrasinh D Padheriya issued a notice to the Municipal School Board Administrative Officer Munjal Badmaliya seeking a report within a week about the programme held at the government school, the newspaper reported. The notice was issued based on a representation made by Bandharan Bachav Samiti Bhavnagar, a social organisation, which alleged that the play had portrayed the Muslim community as terrorists. The organisation demanded action against those behind the play, according to The Indian Express. Rajendrakumar Dave, the school principal, said: 'We only wanted to depict what happened in Operation Sindoor.' 'We did not intend to hurt anyone's sentiments,' he told ANI. 'We conducted this event only to invoke patriotism. If any community is hurt, I apologise.' The district education officer sought details of the programme and asked whether the depiction as has been alleged was intentional, and details of the event held at the school. The Bandharan Bachav Samiti Bhavnagar had alleged that the play was 'an attempt by the school staff to hurt religious sentiments and spread unrest in the public'. 'In the play, girls dressed in Muslim attire (burqa) were shown as terrorists, clearly depicting the Muslim community as terrorists,' the organisation alleged, according to The Indian Express. It added that the Muslim community was angry with the teachers, the organisation said. Badmaliya said that the event is held every year on Independence Day and Republic Day. 'This year it was themed on Operation Sindoor and the bravery of our defence forces, and programmes were held in every school,' the newspaper quoted him as saying. 'Nothing was intentional or deliberate.'

The contents of the bill, which aims to regulate one of the fastest growing industries, is music to the ears for the Esports fraternity in the country. The "OFFENCES AND PENALTIES" clause clearly terms real money gaming as a criminal offence which could lead to jail and humongous fine for the service provider. Clause 9. (1) reads "Any person who offers online money gaming service in contravention of section 5 shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine which may extend to one crore rupees or with both. (2) reads: "Any person who makes or causes to make advertisement in any media, in contravention of section 6, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine which may extend to fifty lakh rupees or with both. The government makes it clear that real money gaming is leading to a lot of social problems and it needs some kind of regulation. "....the parallel proliferation of online money games accessible through mobile phones, computers and the internet, and offering monetary returns against user deposits has led to serious social, financial, psychological and public health harms, particularly among young individuals and economically disadvantaged groups; "...such games often use manipulative design features, addictive algorithms, bots and undisclosed agents, undermining fairness, transparency and user protection, while promoting compulsive behaviour leading to financial ruin."
