Rebecca Loos shares 'special' details about David Beckham alleged 'affair' on Celebrity SAS
Rebecca Loos has addressed the David Beckham "affair" scandal in scenes set to air on Celebrity SAS as she admitted: "He always made me feel very special."
The former personal assistant (PA), 48, is starring on Channel 4's toughest reality show, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. It's a step back into public life after she shied away from it.
It's been more than 20 years since Loos sold her story in 2004 to the now-defunct newspaper News of the World, claiming she had an affair with the footballer who is married to Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham; the Beckhams have always denied the claims.
Now Loos' life looks totally different: she's moved to Norway, works as a yoga teacher and has children of her own. Her peace and quiet was disturbed when Beckham and his wife Victoria spoke about the impact the scandal had on their marriage in their Netflix docuseries in 2023.
It isn't long before Loos brings up the Beckham situation on Celebrity SAS as seen in scenes on Sunday.
"I wouldn't say the British press have been kind in how they have portrayed me because of the Beckham situation," she told the cameras for Celebrity SAS. "I have been accused of being a liar, a slut, a sleazy senorita but I'm not used to being shouted at by bulky men so that's new for me!"
After failing the first task, Loos faces a grilling from the Directing Staff where she talks about the scandal. The yoga teacher said she has no regrets. "Lessons learned," she said, alluding to the Beckham scenario. "If I went back in time of course [I'd do things differently]."
Rebecca Loos speaks about David Beckham scandal
Asked how she felt about it, she reveals: "I was his PA, personal assistant. He always made me feel very special. But it was no big deal, I still did my job. I didn't fancy him that much in the beginning anyway. On the first night I was with him, I said to him, 'You must do this all the time'.
"I thought I was a little bit of fun for him. He said to me, 'No I've never done this before.' He could have said, 'Yeah I've had loads of girls. I'm just having some fun.' Fine by me, I know where I'm going in."
Loos says she didn't expect anything. "The fact that he lied to me the whole time, that p***ed me off," she says.
The former PA explains why she gave that tell-all interview to the News of the World. She says: "I was unhappy with the way I had been treated. So I didn't want to go around anymore, carrying this secret. Rumours that were spreading, journalists were getting in touch, in the end I decided it was better it comes from me. So I gave an interview, thinking it would be something and it ended up being something else. I spent a few years trying to see if I can get it back."
Beckham's ex-PA went through 'hell'
With time to reflect on her own, Loos claims it was unfair Beckham's life flourished while she went through "hell". She says: "I do look back at who i was in my 20s and the only ever focus is on the f***ing beckham situation. It felt injust [unjust] that my life was pretty hell and his career and his life kept blossoming. That didn't feel quite right, still doesn't. I think I've taken most of the blame for what happened, rightly so it was part of my life. We were two. He was older of me and he was my boss."
She adds: "You can't change the things that happened is my attitude. I roll my sleeves and get on with it. Everything I have experienced has brought me to where I am today. It's made me a little bit stronger."
Why is Rebecca Loos speaking out now?
The Netflix documentary Beckham seems to be the driving factor behind her speaking out on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
She says: "When the Beckham documentary [Netflix's Beckham] came out, I was taken completely by surprise. Him trying to portray an image of perfection that was nothing like reality…
"The way our relationship was spoken about and the fact that no responsibility for his actions was reignited. It was like reliving 2004 all over again except this time we have the added dynamic of social media."
What have the Beckhams said?
In 2023, the Beckhams spoke about the scandal on their Netflix docuseries. They have always denied the affair. Speaking openly about it for the first time, they shared the "hurt" and the impact the headlines had on their marriage.
Mrs Beckham said: "It was the hardest period because it felt like the world was against us. Here's the thing — we were against each other if I'm being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other.
"But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either. And that's sad. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare. It was an absolute circus — and everyone loves it when the circus comes to town right? Unless you're in it."
Her husband added: "Victoria is everything to me, to see her hurt was incredibly difficult. But we're fighters, and at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family, but it was worth fighting for. Ultimately it is our private life."
Yahoo UK has reached out to David Beckham and Victoria Beckham's representatives for further comment.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins will return to our screens on Channel 4 at 9pm on August 3.

"I was the same height as Jenna in season one. I've grown quite a lot," the 16-year-old actor told PEOPLE with a laugh while attending the premiere for part one of Wednesday's second season at Central Hall Westminster in London. He added that he's now "hovering" over Ortega, 22, and he playfully referred to their height difference as "amazing." Ordonez brings Pugsley Addams to life in the hit Netflix series, which premiered in November 2022 and now returns for a second season on Aug. 6. The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! In the show's first season, Wednesday Addams, played by Ortega, is the protective older sibling who tortures anyone who dares to go after her brother. Ordonez raved about getting to work closely with Ortega, telling PEOPLE, "Watching her through the monitor, like, you really start to pick up things." He added of the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Scream actress, "She's wonderful. She's such a nice woman." Pugsley didn't follow Wednesday to school at Nevermore in the show's first season. This time around, he's registered as a new student. 'It was definitely a surprise to see how much more I was in it, like a big promotion," Ordonez told NME in July of his enhanced role for season two. Teasing what is in store for Pugsley, Ordonez added, "He's got powers ... he makes a lot of friends, and also [makes] connections with some not so good people. I will say that." The young actor echoed those sentiments when speaking with PEOPLE. "It was great to really play around with this character," Ordonez said. "Now I have more free-range, and, like, room to really grow, you know?" He continued, "Last season we saw that more emotional side of him. That side returns, but we also get to see a lot more of his energetic side. We see him a lot more mischievous." Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Ordonez's onscreen mom, Morticia Addams, also spoke with PEOPLE at the premiere. When asked about getting into character, the actress, 55, stressed the importance of playing the Addams matriarch as "real and grounded." "Of course, I identify with being a mother. I certainly identify with that," she said. "I never had the struggle with my daughter that I have with Wednesday, thankfully, but I've certainly seen mothers have that." The second season of Wednesday finds the titular character dealing with being perceived as the "savior" of Nevermore after she overcame the villainous Laurel Gates (Christina Ricci) in the first season. Prince Harry Denies Claims He Punched Prince Andrew at Royal Gathering
Originally appeared on E! Online is setting the record straight. After a new book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, alleged that Harry and got into a physical altercation at a 2013 family gathering after Andrew made a remark about behind Harry's back, the Duke of Sussex denied the claims. 'I can confirm neither of those things are true,' a spokesperson for Harry told People in an August 2 statement. 'Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.' According to an excerpt of Andrew Lowni's book—a joint biography of Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, which portrays him as a largely controversial figure—published in the Daily Mail, the 'heated argument' stemmed from 'something Andrew said behind Harry's back.' Within moments, the biography alleged that 'punches were thrown,' leaving Andrew with a bloody nose. The author also went on to claim that Andrew privately suggested to Harry that his relationship with Meghan wouldn't last because she was, as he put it, an 'opportunist.' More from E! "After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution," the couple wrote on Instagram in January 2020. Nicole Kidman Says She and ‘Sister' Sandra Bullock ‘Tease' Each Other on the 'Practical Magic 2' Set (Exclusive)
'We're just having the best time together,' Kidman tells PEOPLE of teaming up with Bullock again, 27 years after the original movieNEED TO KNOW Nicole Kidman revealed in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE that she and Sandra Bullock 'tease' each other on the set of Practical Magic 2 Kidman said they share a close bond and are 'like sisters' Kidman and Bullock are reprising their roles as witches Gillian and Sally Owens in the sequel to the 1998 classicNicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock don't need to stretch their acting skills on the set of Practical Magic 2. The two stars are reprising their roles as witch sisters Gillian and Sally Owens in the long-awaited sequel to the 1998 classic. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Kidman — who was recently named a global ambassador for Clé de Peau Beauté — revealed that she and Bullock, 61, have such a close bond that they are "like sisters." "It's insane," she says of their dynamic. And as all siblings do, the actresses enjoy poking fun at each other. "I can tease her, and she teases me," Kidman, 58, explains, noting, "We're both living in London, very close to each other." She says the pair can hardly believe they are back in the Practical Magic world again after 27 years. "We're both like, 'What?' But we were just right back into it," she explains, adding of Bullock, "I adore her and she is so funny and so lovable. And we're just having the best time together." Kidman also had high praise for others involved in the making of the sequel. "We have this wonderful female director, Susanne Bier. Warner Bros. is behind the film. And they've been incredibly supportive in making this, going back and then expanding it," she tells PEOPLE. "And then we have beautiful Joey King, who I've worked with before and who's just lovely," she continues. "So it's a group of amazing, amazing women and some great men who are creating the next phase, the next stage of the witches' life." Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest are set to reprise their roles as the Owens sisters' aunts, Franny and Jet, respectively. Along with King, new additions to the cast include Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod. While details about the sequel's plot are being kept under wraps, the 1998 film — based on Alice Hoffman's 1995 book of the same name — follows the Owens sisters, who must use their witchy magic to fight off a curse that kills the men they fall in love with. 'Twenty-five years ago, Sally, Gillian, Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny flew off the pages of Alice Hoffman's beloved novel and into theaters around the world, and we are thrilled to bring the Owens family back to the big screen with Joey, Lee, Maisie, Solly and Xolo joining the next chapter in our story," the filmmaking team behind Practical Magic 2 said in a statement via a press release. "The enduring affection for these characters has been our inspiration to deliver the next installment in the Owens' story to new fans, and those who've been with us since the beginning," they added. Last month, Kidman treated fans to a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her and Bullock's first day on set for the new movie, which is set to be released in theaters on Sept. 18, 2026. She shared a video on Instagram of the pair in character, hugging each other tightly while standing in what appeared to be a cemetery. "The witches are back ✨. Owens sisters' first day on set! #PracticalMagic," she captioned the clip. In 2019, Today resurfaced a clip of Bullock discussing the original movie with Katie Couric and reflecting on her on-set relationship with Kidman. 'I had such a great time,' the Bird Box star said. 'And the fact is, we don't have anything in common, except for at the dinner table with a bottle of wine, and everything sort of blends together.' Practical Magic 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on Sept. 18, 2026. Read the original article on People
