Lewis the Pumpkin King returns to Target – at least online. See Halloween 2025 drop.
The retailer officially listed more than 1,500 spooky, seasonal finds online, and prices start at $1, the company announced Aug 11.
Among this year's items are snacks; Victorian-inspired pieces and Lewis, the $180 8-foot-tall pumpkin ghoul that was first sold in October 2023 and sold out during its first week.
Lewis boasts multiple phrases, including a saying to correct those who fail to address the Pumpkin King properly: "I am not a jack-o-lantern," Lewis says. "My name is Lewis."
Many of the items are part of Target's Hyde & EEK! Boutique, a Halloween-owned brand. Those decorations include the Featherly Friends werewolf, cat and vampire-inspired bird figurines.
'We know millions of families love Halloween and don't want to wait until October to shop, so Target is ready,' Rick Gomez, Target's chief commercial officer, said in a press release.

Is Deadpool returning in 'Avengers: Doomsday'? Ryan Reynolds post sparks speculation
Is the Merc with a Mouth finally joining Earth's Mightiest Heroes? A cryptic new Instagram post from Ryan Reynolds has fans speculating that the actor could be returning as Deadpool in "Avengers: Doomsday." The post, shared on Reynolds' personal Instagram on Aug. 12, shows a graffiti version of the Avengers logo. He did not include any caption. The logo was previously seen on a flag in 2024's "Deadpool & Wolverine" during a section of the movie where Reynolds' Deadpool and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine are captured. The photo that Reynolds shared appears to have been taken from a July 2024 Reddit post, where a user posted pictures of several custom Marvel shirts in anticipation of "Deadpool & Wolverine." However, Reynolds' posting of the Avengers logo without comment, as filming on "Avengers: Doomsday" is underway, fueled speculation that he could be preparing to announce his involvement in the movie. "If you are saying what I think you're saying, I'm actually gonna scream," one comment on the post read. Reynolds was notably missing from the lengthy "Avengers: Doomsday" cast list that Marvel unveiled in March during an hours-long live stream, where every individual star's name was revealed one at a time. But after the stream ended, Marvel hinted that it was not the complete cast list – and that other actors could be joining the movie. "There's always room for more," the studio teased. Reynolds' foul-mouthed Marvel hero was last seen in "Deadpool & Wolverine," which brought him to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time. But while the movie was a massive hit, no sequel has been announced, and it hasn't been confirmed where or when fans will see Deadpool next. During a Variety Actors on Actors segment with Andrew Garfield in December, Reynolds said he would like to see Deadpool function more as a supporting character going forward. "If he comes back, it's going to be in someone's else's movie," he said. Reynolds also told Time magazine in April that he was "writing a little something right now that is an ensemble" involving Deadpool, but did not reveal details. The announced cast list for "Avengers: Doomsday" does include one star from "Deadpool & Wolverine:" Channing Tatum, who made his debut as Gambit in the 2024 "Deadpool" film. Other stars confirmed for the next "Avengers" include Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

'Superman' Director Reveals Real Reason Behind Henry Cavill's Recasting: 'It Was Really Unfair to Him'
'Superman' Director Reveals Real Reason Behind Henry Cavill's Recasting: 'It Was Really Unfair to Him' originally appeared on Parade. It's no secret that the original iteration of the DCEU had plenty of flaws, but one of the few highlights of the series could be found in the performance of Henry Cavill's dark and brooding iteration of Superman. Despite earning a positive response from fans and critics alike for his performance as a far more mature version of DC's Man of Steel, Cavill was ultimately dismissed from the role right around the time former Marvel director James Gunn took over DC's creative direction. With the recent arrival of Superman, however, the 58-year-old Gunn has spoken out about the truth behind Cavill's departure from DC, as well as the actor's own surprising response to the news. Appearing on a recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Guardians of the Galaxy director discussed the initial confusion around the announcement of a new Superman movie and the false belief Cavill would be returning for the film. 'The day our [DC] deal closed, all of a sudden, they were announcing that Henry was back,' said Gunn. 'And I'm like, 'What is going on?' We know what the plan is. The plan was to come in and do Superman [with a new actor in the lead role]. So it was really unfair to him and a total bummer.' As confusion swirled around Cavill's future within the DCU, Gunn sat down with DC co-CEO Peter Safran, in which the two decided the best move forward was personally informing The Witcher actor that he wouldn't be returning for a new Superman film. 'So Peter and I [thought] the right thing to do was to sit down with [Cavill] and talk to him," Gunn recalled. "He was an absolute gentleman, a great guy about it. He said, 'The only thing I ask is that I'm able to reveal it myself as opposed to it coming from you guys.'' Though most fans might have been heartbroken to lose out on a star of Cavill's magnitude, Gunn went on to say that he'd "love" to include the actor in a future DCU film. 'I talked to him about it on that day,' Gunn confirmed. 'I would love to put Henry in something.'
