Is Deadpool returning in 'Avengers: Doomsday'? Ryan Reynolds post sparks speculation
A cryptic new Instagram post from Ryan Reynolds has fans speculating that the actor could be returning as Deadpool in "Avengers: Doomsday."
The post, shared on Reynolds' personal Instagram on Aug. 12, shows a graffiti version of the Avengers logo. He did not include any caption.
The logo was previously seen on a flag in 2024's "Deadpool & Wolverine" during a section of the movie where Reynolds' Deadpool and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine are captured. The photo that Reynolds shared appears to have been taken from a July 2024 Reddit post, where a user posted pictures of several custom Marvel shirts in anticipation of "Deadpool & Wolverine."
However, Reynolds' posting of the Avengers logo without comment, as filming on "Avengers: Doomsday" is underway, fueled speculation that he could be preparing to announce his involvement in the movie. "If you are saying what I think you're saying, I'm actually gonna scream," one comment on the post read.
Reynolds was notably missing from the lengthy "Avengers: Doomsday" cast list that Marvel unveiled in March during an hours-long live stream, where every individual star's name was revealed one at a time. But after the stream ended, Marvel hinted that it was not the complete cast list – and that other actors could be joining the movie.
"There's always room for more," the studio teased.
Reynolds' foul-mouthed Marvel hero was last seen in "Deadpool & Wolverine," which brought him to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time. But while the movie was a massive hit, no sequel has been announced, and it hasn't been confirmed where or when fans will see Deadpool next.
During a Variety Actors on Actors segment with Andrew Garfield in December, Reynolds said he would like to see Deadpool function more as a supporting character going forward. "If he comes back, it's going to be in someone's else's movie," he said.
Reynolds also told Time magazine in April that he was "writing a little something right now that is an ensemble" involving Deadpool, but did not reveal details.
The announced cast list for "Avengers: Doomsday" does include one star from "Deadpool & Wolverine:" Channing Tatum, who made his debut as Gambit in the 2024 "Deadpool" film.
Other stars confirmed for the next "Avengers" include Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

Is Deadpool In ‘Avengers: Doomsday'? Ryan Reynolds' Social Media Post Spurs Fan Frenzy
Ryan Reynolds' posted a Deadpool graffiti-ed Avengers logo on Instagram today, which started the rumor mill that the Merc with a Mouth would be in the Russo Brothers' Avengers: Doomsday movie. Sources tell us that they haven't seen Reynolds on set in London, and he isn't set to appear in the next two Avengers movie. Doomsday, which hits cinemas during the Christmas season 2026, is set to star a who's who of Marvel Cinematic Universe stars/characters, not just from the new movies such as Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four: First Steps, but oldies from the 20th Century Fox/Marvel movies, i.e. Patrick Stewart aka Charles Xavier (didn't he die in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?), Ian McKellen aka Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden aka Cyclops and Kelsey Grammer as Beast. That logo Deadpool-ian Avengers logo was last seen in Deadpool & Wolverine as a flag during the dystopian other-verse seen where Deadpool and Wolverine meet Chris Evans' Johnny Storm. However, the new version that Reynolds posted is in red. I hear a fan made it, Reynolds spotted it and was intrigued to post it. Marvel has counted three movies to date this year in Captain America: Brave New World ($415.1M WW), Thunderbolts* ($382.4M WW) and Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is coursing to a half billion at the global box office. Last summer, Deadpool & Wolverine broke myriad records, including being the highest grossing R-rated movie ever with $1.33 billion unseating Warner Bros/DC's Joker ($1.07 billion). Jenna Jameson Shows How Little She's Changed Since Teen Years: 'This is me at 16 vs 51'
Jenna Jameson Shows How Little She's Changed Since Teen Years: 'This is me at 16 vs 51' originally appeared on Parade. Jenna Jameson is looking back on her roots. The former adult film star, 51, took to Instagram earlier this week to post a side-by-side photo of herself as a teenager and in the present day, and it was pretty clear that the TV personality and entrepreneur hasn't changed all that much. "So blessed to have made it to 51 (it's not my birthday). This is me at 16 vs 51. I'm certainly a lot older, but oddly enough… I'm gentler now," the star captioned the photo. As a teen, Jameson had the typical mega-bangs and hairspray-afflicted hair of the period, while current-day Jenna features long blonde hair that reaches her belly. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Back in March, PEOPLE reported that Jameson and her wife Jessi Lawless were getting divorced. The couple married in 2023. "She tried to rekindle the relationship multiple times but I was unwilling to entertain her advances," Lawless said in a statement to PEOPLE. "She moved around several times staying with a friend in Chicago and then with another friend in California and then she was in Las Vegas for a little while, but she was hard to keep up with so getting her served was challenging."Jameson is mom to three children with her exes, Tito Ortiz and Lior Bitton. "I try to go over in my mind why I ever dated or married men, and it's selfish and bad to say, but I think my driving force were children," Jameson previously told PEOPLE. "And now that I've really found myself, I'm just accepting of everything that I feel inside and don't shove everything down."Jenna Jameson Shows How Little She's Changed Since Teen Years: 'This is me at 16 vs 51' first appeared on Parade on Aug 15, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Aug 15, 2025, where it first appeared. Rich Brian Returns (Rather Introspectively) With 'WHERE IS MY HEAD?'
Summary WhileRich Brian's internet presence hasn't wavered in the past six years, his solo music output has – and his just-as-online fanbase hasn't let him forget that in his Instagram comments. Taking a lengthy hiatus after his last longform release –1999in 2020, which was preceded by sophomore albumThe Sailorin 2019, and his 2018 debut,Amen –Brian has been busy in the interim. As he returns to the scene with his new project,WHERE IS MY HEAD?,it's clear the88risingartist has spent the last few years deep in the depths of developing not only his artistic vision, but also navigating his psyche, the 15-track album a vessel for all of his discoveries along the way. Having done a lot of looking inward in the past years – even up until the past few months, as he delayed the album due to feeling 'incredibly inspired by the people, places, and sounds' around him – the genre-traversingWHERE IS MY HEAD?not only marks the most introspective release from the candid artist, but also what he believes to be his best. 'Went absolutely nuts on the production for all the songs, some of my fav lyrics and storytelling work I've done so far,' he wrote in an Instagram caption in which he also shared that he wrote most of the album 'in a room by [himself], as 'it just felt too personal to do any other way.' Also signalling his most ambitious and honed-in longform drop,WHERE IS MY HEAD?revolves around a sharp, two-character concept, in which Brian plays both Movie Brian and Maestro Brian, the latter an alter-ego who scores for the former, his on-screen persona. Right from the jump, the first track, 'Senja' – which translates to 'Dusk' in Indonesian – kicks off (and closes out) with an Indonesian intro, laying the groundwork for Brian to lay down his verse. As for the features, the close-to-home collection of music sees contributions from a considered bunch of artists. 'Every feature on this album has been so organic, from the making of the song, to thinking 'wow ___ would sound crazy on this' to me dming them with 0 expectations and having them actually respond n come through and some even willing to take notes & direction from me,' the musician reflected on Instagram, ultimately choosing to tapToro Y Moi,Ski Mask The Slump God,Maxo Kream, redveil,Charlotte Day Wilson, DAISY WORLD and Kurtis Wells to offer their hand to the heartfelt soundscape. 1.
