Shruti Haasan Says She Is A Huge Rajinikanth Fan: ‘I Unconditionally Love Appa, But…'
Actress Shruti Haasan, who will soon be seen alongside Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna in the highly-anticipated film 'Coolie', recently attended the film's pre-release Spotify event in Mumbai. During the event, she opened up about working with Rajinikanth, and expressed her deep admiration for him. She said that while her father Kamal Haasan will always be 'number 1' for her, she is now a Rajinikanth fan. She recalled the first time she saw him up close, describing it as a 'powerhouse' moment.
At the Coolie promotional event, Shruti Haasan said, 'My daddy (Kamal Haasan) is always my number 1. I unconditionally love Appa, but I am a Rajini fan now, so that's the balance. His aura is like that. The minute you encounter him for the first time you're like 'woah! okay. This is powerhouse. Full on!' But I think it was when I had a really close close-up with him, and I was seeing his face up close, I was like 'Oh My God.' That is Rajini sir."
Shruti Haasan's Role In Coolie
Shruti Haasan, who plays the role of Preeti in the upcoming film Coolie, recently opened up about how different the character is from her real-life personality. IANS quoted her saying, 'I don't think Preeti is like me at all. But I did connect with certain aspects of her. I believe many women will relate to those parts, and that's what I really liked about the character. Preeti is extremely responsible, extremely focused, and quite inspiring."
About Coolie
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and featuring Rajinikanth in a larger-than-life avatar, Coolie is expected to be a mass entertainer packed with action, drama, and fan-service moments that will have theatres roaring.
