Anushka Sharma responded to Virat Kohli's praise with a sweet and simple post, where she mentioned being 'happy' after his review of her performance.
It goes without saying that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are one of India's most adored couples. Every little moment they share with each other becomes pure gold for their fans. On Anushka's birthday today, May 1, let's look back at the time before Virushka's wedding when Virat proudly praised Anushka's performance in NH10, proving he was a green flag from the beginning of their relationship.
Right after the release of her 2015 action thriller directed by Navdeep Singh, the former India skipper took to his X account and praised Anushka's performance in NH10. In the post shared on March 17, 2015, Virat said, 'Just watched #NH10 and I am blown away."
But it was his next sentence that surely left their fans gushing over them. Complimenting his girlfriend, he added, 'What a brilliant film and especially an outstanding performance by my love @AnushkaSharma. SO PROUD :)" Upon seeing the tweet, she responded sweetly with a simple post.
Just watched #NH10 and i am blown away. What a brilliant film and specially an outstanding performance by my love @AnushkaSharma. SO PROUD:)— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) March 17, 2015
Expressing her gratitude, Anushka wrote, '@imVkohli Thank You. SO happy (smiling face emoji)," a short but heartwarming exchange that fans still remember as one of their early public displays of affection.
@imVkohli Thank You . SO happy ☺️— Anushka Sharma (@AnushkaSharma) March 17, 2015
NH10, starring Anushka Sharma, Neil Bhoopalam, Darshan Kumar and Deepti Naval, revolves around the story of a young married couple whose road trip takes a dangerous turn when they encounter a group of violent criminals on National Highway 10. The film, released in 2015, went on to become a sleeper hit. The film also marked Anushka's debut as a producer.
More than two years after the film's release, Anushka and Virat tied the knot in a private and intimate wedding ceremony in December 2017 in Italy after a few years of dating. Three years after their marriage, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Vamika, in January 2021. And in February last year, they announced the arrival of their son, Akaay, after keeping the actress' second pregnancy under wraps.
Speaking of their respective work fronts, the 37-year-old actress is supposed to return to the screen with Chakda 'Xpress, a sports drama based on the life of Jhulan Goswami. However, the film's release date remains uncertain. Meanwhile, Virat is shining in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) as part of the playing 11 of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

'There were different stories': S Sreesanth reveals his daughter refused to greet Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh had slapped S Sreesanth on the field during IPL 2008 in one of the tournament's biggest controversies. Former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth recently shared how his daughter refused to greet Harbhajan Singh , stemming from a 2008 IPL incident where the spinner had slapped the medium pacer. Despite both players having moved past their differences, the incident left a lasting impact on Sreesanth's daughter, who seemingly learned about it through school conversations. Speaking on Padamjeet Sehrawat's YouTube channel, Sreesanth revealed his daughter's reaction when he tried introducing her to Harbhajan. EXCLUSIVE | Harbhajan Singh on Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, India vs Pakistan and more "When I told my daughter, 'This is Bhajji pa, he's played with me', she straight away said, 'No, no, I won't say hi'. I couldn't understand why. In school, there may have been the odd conversation about it. There are different stories doing the rounds. Then we tried explaining, but she said she still won't talk to him. "The next day, when the legends tournament was going on, we explained that he was like our elder brother. I don't think Bhajji pa did that deliberately. It happened in the spur of the moment. It was just a learning experience for both of us." Sreesanth believes the slapping incident, which occurred after a match between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians, wasn't intentional. I want to remove that incident from my career," Harbhajan said. He mentioned apologising multiple times over the years, stating, "I apologised 200 times. What I felt so bad was even years after that incident, I have been apologising every opportunity or stage I get. It was a mistake." Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4.
