Long may he reign. John Krasinski is enjoying the 'peak' of his Sexiest Man Alive title.

Yahoo22-05-2025

A chance to make the reigning Sexiest Man Alive blush? We couldn't help ourselves.
Krasinski is six months into his reign as People's annual titleholder. Like many of the leading men before him — Chris Evans! John Legend! Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson! — the actor sat for a photo shoot and interview, as is tradition. He gushed about his wife, Emily Blunt, and how he hoped the hunky honor would relieve him from household chores.
I had to do a wellness check on Krasinski since his crowning in November. Why? Well, his Fountain of Youth costar Eiza González laughed that he's 'really suffering through' the press tour for their Apple TV+ film.
"Every time people bring it up, he gets red!' she told Yahoo Entertainment when I broached the topic.
It's clear why Krasinski was chosen. The magazine, which has been anointing Hollywood's leading men with the title since 1985, doesn't necessarily crown the biggest star of the year. Instead, their choices tend to skew more toward a person who has broad appeal to the masses. (Looking at you, People's Sexiest Man of 2017, Blake Shelton, and Paul Rudd, who was crowned in 2023.)
In 2012, a People editor told USA Today the team looks at comments on their celebrity coverage throughout the year to guide their choice. Reporters also poll female stars about who should get the Sexiest Man Alive. Sure, looks are a factor, but it's more than that. Krasinski is well-liked by his peers. Both men and women enjoy his movies and TV shows. Fans want to date him, romantics ship his relationship with Blunt and people want to be his best friend.
It's also worth mentioning that the magazine won't name someone who won't play ball (cough: Ryan Gosling) and they want a star who is comfortable "owning" the superlative. Enter the 45-year-old actor.
Krasinski may not realize the universality of his appeal, though, or has nailed modesty (he's an actor, after all). He thought he was 'being punked' when he found out he nabbed the honor.
'That's not how I wake up, thinking, 'Is this the day that I'll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?' And yet it was the day you guys did it,' he said in the cover story.
Don't be fooled, though. This isn't the first time Krasinski embraced his sexier side in print. He set the internet ablaze when, in 2015, his Men's Health photo shoot showed he's more than just sweet Jim from The Office. 'Funnyman John Krasinski Shows Off His New SEAL-Fit Body' was the headline of one article, which did just that as he posed in a black T-shirt.
So it's no surprise then that Krasinski said he's actually "feeling pretty good" six months into his Sexiest Man Alive reign.
"I mean, I'm at the peak now, right? So from here, it all goes downhill until I lose the crown," Krasinski said. "I'm going to enjoy this moment right now."
González co-signs the title.
"He's the best. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him before. I met [his wife] Emily [Blunt] before, who's incredibly funny. He's just such a warm human being that in the first 10 minutes of being around him, he makes you feel so welcomed," she said.
Krasinski and González's banter is on full display in Fountain of Youth. Director Guy Ritchie's family-friendly movie follows two estranged siblings (Krasinski and Natalie Portman) who reunite to go on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. As their adventure takes them all around the world, González's character is hot on their heels to stop them from finding immortality.
"When you have [John's] energy, it allows for really good banter,' she explained, 'and he comes up with great ideas."
González also praised Krasinski's comedic skills, which he honed filming The Office for nearly a decade. "When you're improvising so much, that allows and gives you a whole other quality as an actor,' she said. "I was really happy to be around that energy."
premieres on Apple TV+ on May 23.

Jonathan Joss' recent demise has shocked the entire world. Following Joss' death, several of his former colleagues and castmates paid tribute to him via statements and also revealed their reactions to his death. Now, Chris Pratt, who worked with Joss on Parks and Rec, has paid tribute to the latter via social media. Here's how Chris Pratt paid tribute to Jonathan Joss. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor took to his Instagram Stories to address Jonathan Joss' death. He shared a screenshot of an article reporting on Joss' demise and wrote underneath it, 'Damn. RIP Jonathan. Always such a kind dude. He played Ken Hotate in Parks and was also in Mag 7. Sad to see. Prayers up. Hug your loved ones.' Check out Pratt's Instagram Story below: Pratt was not the only Parks and Rec star to address Joss' demise. The late actor's other co-star from the sitcom, Nick Offerman, shared in a statement to PEOPLE how he and the other actors had been processing the actor's demise. 'The cast has been texting together about it all day and we're just heartbroken,' Offerman said. He then called Joss 'a sweet guy' and shared how he and the other Parks and Rec actors 'loved having him as' their 'Chief Ken Hotate.' The Last of Us actor noted that what happened to Joss was 'a terrible tragedy.' Joss died after being shot by his neighbour, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, in Texas. Eyewitnesses and the San Antonio Police Department revealed that the actor got into a heated argument with Ceja at a house on Sunday night on the city's south side. Their argument turned into a bloody confrontation that saw Ceja take out a weapon, pump several bullets into the actor, and flee in a vehicle afterward. Ceja was eventually arrested and booked for murder, with the bond being set at $200,000 (via TMZ). Joss' husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, posted a statement on Facebook. He revealed that homophobic individuals had targeted them and openly expressed their hatred for their relationship before Joss' death. Gonzales then shared that the man who killed Joss hurled violent homophobic slurs towards them. Originally reported by Abdul Azim Naushad on ComingSoon. Kristin Cavallari's Kids Make Debut Appearance on Mom's Podcast— and Share How They Really Feel About Filming Their Reality Series

Kristin Cavallari's three kids are sharing what they really think about filming their new reality TV series. On Tuesday, June 3, the Laguna Beach alum's kids Camden, 12, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9, appeared on her podcast Let's Be Honest for the first time and spoke with their mom about a variety of topics, including what they thought about filming the family's new TV series Honestly Cavallari. "Some of it was boring and then some of it was fun," Saylor answers when her mom asks what she thought of filming. "What part was boring?" asks Cavallari. "Just when we'd talk," Saylor says. "It's not like we talk like a family ever," jokes Camden. Cavallari again asks her daughter what part was boring, to which she responds, "No, when we were just sitting down." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. The proud mom then asks all three of her kids what was the most fun about filming the show. "Them putting the mic on you and then you'd be like, 'Check check,' and then they'd look at you and be like," Camden says, showing a thumbs up at the end. "You guys loved having a microphone," says Cavallari. She then asks if her kids liked the show after watching the first episode, to which they all say yes. Cavallari also asks if the experience of filming was what they expected. "I just thought they'd come, put some cameras up, put some mics and then we'd just talk and film," says Camden. Cavallari goes on to say that filming this show was one of the easiest experiences for her since they were just told to be themselves. "I don't think any of it was really scripted except the last part," admits Camden. "She told us some questions to ask you." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kristin Cavallari (@kristincavallari) Earlier this month, Cavallari shared why she's been posting photos of her kids and letting them join her on her new TV series after previously not sharing them on social media. While speaking to PEOPLE ahead of the premiere of her new E! docuseries, the mom of three shared that her children have been eager to get in on the spotlight. "They have been asking me for years to post them. I guess it was maybe a year and a half ago that I finally posted Camden. He's almost 13, Saylor is 9 — she'll be 10 in the fall. It's sort of the curse of being the second or the third kid. They just sort of naturally do what the oldest is doing. In my perfect world, would they all be 12 [before] deciding if they were posted? Sure. But also, it's just not realistic," she said. For most of the kids' childhood, Cavallari refrained from showing their faces online. Now that they're a little older, she said, she's enjoying being able to fully share them with her audience. "It is nice for me to be able to show that with people because my kids are the biggest part of my life. They always have been since I became a mom," said Cavallari. "And I could only let people in so much without showing my kids, so to be able to now share that world with everybody? People [can] see at the end of the day, I am just a normal mom. That is my life." Read the original article on People

Richard O'Brien reveals this famous rocker tried to buy ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show' film rights

Owned by Jagger. In the new documentary 'Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror,' creator Richard O'Brien revealed that Mick Jagger and his team tried to buy the film rights to 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' after the stage show made its US debut in 1974. But director Jim Sharman advised that they shouldn't go for Jagger's deal, and with producer Lou Adler's help, they created the film without a big name attached. 8 Richard O'Brien, Tim Curry and Patricia Quinn a lobby card from 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show.' Getty Images 'One of the great things about this is that we were a fringe theater event, and we were allowed to make a movie,' O'Brien, 83, said in the doc, according to People. 'Not only that, but Jim was allowed to direct it. Not only that, but Brian Thompson was allowed to be the artistic director. Not only that, but Tim [Curry] was allowed to play the lead role,' the famous producer continued. 'That's very rare, especially when it's America and a Hollywood matter.' 8 Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Jonathan Adams and Peter Hinwood on a lobby card from 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show.' [There were] three people who wanted to play [Dr. Frank-N-Furter] — Mick Jagger, Lou Reed, and of course, David Bowie,' Quinn, 81, recalled. '[They said] no Mick Jaggers, no Bowies, I'm having the original cast,' she added. 8 Mick Jagger with Sue Mengers at a stage production of 'The Rocky Horror Show' in Los Angeles. They agreed to present their own funds if the film didn't make that amount, per People. 'From the beginning, I had the feeling it was an event and something very, very special by the cast and the music, immediately,' Adler recalled of the original stage production, which premiered in London in 1973. 8 Richard O'Brien at the Oxford Union in March 2004. 'Sort of like cabaret, that you could go beyond sitting in a theater but you could enjoy the whole experience of it. And in the back of my mind, I just envisioned it as a film pretty much from the beginning,' Adler shared. 8 Lou Adler at his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony in 2006. © Mark Savage/Corbis He continued, 'The casting for the Roxy, we had some very, very talented people, most of who were local actors. I thought pretty much I couldn't duplicate Tim Curry. That was somebody we had to bring over, and that went for Richard also.
