Updated 2025 TBT bracket after Carmen's Crew's win to advance to Round of 16

USA Today22-07-2025
The Ohio State basketball alumni team (well, sort of these days), Carmen's Crew, won again on Monday night in a nip-and-tuck affair to advance to the Round of `16 in a quest to defend its TBT title from last season.
This year, so far, there's only been one former Ohio State player really contributing, with the bulk of the heroics coming from other players who have joined the fray to try and continue the run and win the team's third championship. Keyshawn Woods is the only former Buckeye to see playing time so far, and you have to wonder if that will continue with William Buford, Trevor Thompson, and Kaleb Wesson sitting things out so far.
Regardless, we thought we'd share the updated TBT bracket with you if you are following along so that you can continue to watch the team's run at another title. Carmen's Crew is now in the Indianapolis Regional final and will take on a surprise team when it tips off against Fail Harder Tuesday night.
Here's a look at the bracket before the games on Tuesday.
We'll have reaction to the game tonight and will continue to follow this team's journey as long as it keeps going.

WATCH: Ohio State football head coach Ryan Day talks opening day of fall camp

In case you've been significantly out of the loop as an Ohio State football fan, then you know that Thursday was the first day of fall camp for the Buckeyes. There was plenty to see on the field, and we always get to hear from head coach Ryan Day after the first day, and that's exactly what we got after practice. There's still a lot of key battles for some key starting and depth positions, a quarterback competition still ongoing, and some new coaches in meaningful positions that have to all come together to make this team become what it can be. All of that, and more, was reflected and opined upon by Day, and we have the entire press conference for you thanks to the WBNS 10TV YouTube channel. In it, you'll hear Day talk about the attitude of this team, how he thought the quarterbacks did in practice numero uno, staying away from injuries, and more. We'll continue to keep you updated and have news, analysis, and opinion of what's coming out of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center as Ohio State fall camp grinds on. Ohio State Star Jeremiah Smith Reveals Just How Close He Was To Joining Miami Hurricanes

Ohio State star receiver Jeremiah Smith revealed this week just how close he was to taking his talents to the Miami Hurricanes two years ago. Jeremiah Smith took college football by storm in 2024 as a true freshman for the Buckeyes. In his first season in the Big Ten, the wide receiver led the team not just in yards (1,315) but also touchdowns (15) on just 76 catches. Ohio State does not win a National Championship last season without the young star. However, things could have been different. Although OSU was a favorite to land him in 2023, the Hurricanes were reportedly a serious contender to win his recruiting sweepstakes. On Tuesday, Smith revealed to On3 just how close he got to taking his talents to Miami two years ago. Jeremiah Smith stats: 76 catches, 1,315 receiving yards, 15 touchdowns, 17.3 yards per catch 'What went into me taking a long time to send my NIL was people on the business side of things. That night [that he sent his paperwork in], I definitely talked to Cam Ward. Thought about something… I didn't really tell him [that he was choosing OSU]. We just got on the phone, and he was like, 'What you gonna do?' And I was like, 'I don't know.' Then, a couple of hours later, I sent the NIL in.' Jeremiah Smith NIL value: $4.2 million Smith admits he has not talked to Ward since he made his decision. However, he does not believe the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft and new Tennessee Titans QB holds any grudges. The Hurricanes had an outstanding offense in 2024 and posted a 10-3 record. Many in Miami believe that if Smith had committed to the program, they would have reached the college football playoffs and had a chance to compete for a National title. Ohio State fans are very happy he did not choose South Beach over Columbus. Also Read:: Ohio State and Penn State Stars Lead Big Ten Preseason Honors, Including Jeremiah Smith
