Beaches closed across NY as temperatures near 90 degrees
Storms swept through the tri-state area Monday night, flooding the New York City subway system and roadways. At least two people were killed in New Jersey, officials said.

'Beach patrons are advised to avoid the water at these beaches until further notice due to bacterial contamination from road runoff into drainage outfalls near these beaches,' a spokesperson for Westchester County said.
These beaches are closed in Westchester, officials said:
Mamaroneck: Harbor Island, Beach Point Club, Orienta Beach Club and Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club
New Rochelle: Hudson Park Beach, Davenport Club, Greentree Club and Surf Club
Rye: Coveleigh Club
There are also advisories against swimming at some Nassau County beaches:
Bayville: Centre Island Sound, Ransom Beach, Soundside Beach and Stehli Beach
East Rockaway: Hewlett Point Beach
Glen Cove: Morgan Sound and Pryibil Beach
Glenwood Landing: Tappen Beach
Island Park: Island Park Beach
Lattingtown: Creek Club and Lattingtown Beach
Laurel Hollow: Laurel Hollow Beach
Locust Valley: Piping Rock Beach Club
Massapequa: Biltmore Beach Club, Philip Healey Beach
Oyster Bay: Theodore Roosevelt Beach
Port Washington: North Hempstead Beach Park
Sea Cliff: Sea Cliff Village Beach
The Westchester ban against swimming will be lifted when health officials deem the water safe. In Nassau County, the advisory lasts through 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
