James Martin admits his £5 million collection is 'weird' as he admits the driving force behind his love of cars.
The 52-year-old chef boasts an impressive collection of iconic and classic cars. Among them is a Subaru Impreza raced by legendary rally driver Colin McRae and a Mini Cooper raced by Paddy Hopkirk and Rauno Aaltonen.

James has however revealed his Toyota Hilux pickup truck is his favourite to drive. This he says is because he can 'chuck everything' in the 435-litre boot.

Speaking on the Good Food podcast with Samuel Goldsmith, James explained he sees his cars as 'art'. He said: 'Whether you collect anything, you see something as the Holy Grail, it's that sort of stuff, but the car to me is like an aesthetic moving little bit of art. They're just beautiful things.
'It's weird, I'm not married, I've got no kids, my kids have got four wheels, that's it, you're either into them or you're not. I'm not weirdly into them, so I don't get a deckchair and sit in the middle of a field and talk about pistons and stuff like that, but there's something about them.

'As a kid I used to peer through the window at Jack Barclay Showrooms in London when I was training as a chef thinking, 'One day'.'
James' impressive car collection is reported to contain a Bentley Continental, a Shelby Mustang, a Ferrari 275 GTB, and a Ferrari 288 GTO among others. Although he is said to favour his Hilux and a BMW 760Li for day-to-day use.

In an interview with SL.Man, he said: "I've got a Toyota Hilux pickup truck that I absolutely love – you can chuck everything in it and it will go forever. All my mates take the mick: 'So you've got all these cars, but you drive around in a pick-up truck?'"
James, who is said to be dating personal trainer Kim Johnson, has previously revealed he has no desire to get married. In a frank discussion with Sunday People some years back, he said: 'No, it doesn't interest me in the slightest, mainly because I've catered for so many weddings, really. I admire people who do it, that's fine, but I'm quite happy. I don't need to spend 60 grand on a day, no, I'm more than happy thanks."

The television star, who is surrounded by friends who have children, has spoken of the personal cost that a high octane career comes with. Speaking to Prima magazine in 2020, he admitted: "The biggest low of my career is that I've given up everything for it.
'The level of commitment it requires and the choices you have to make have a huge impact."
James Martin's Saturday Morning returns to TV screens at 9.30am on ITV One today as Julia Bradbury joins the star at his Hampshire home. Lisa Goodwin-Allen and Judy Joo will be serving food while First Dates star Merlin Griffiths will be making cocktails.

Katie Price calls for Peter Andre sit down talk over one thing that will end Princess feud

Katie Price has publicly reached out to her ex-husband Peter Andre and offered a truce following the fallout surrounding her daughter Princess' ITV documentary series. The 47 year old glamour model has now suggested she and ex-husband Peter, 52, have a sit down chat following the 16 year long feud between the former married couple, who share Junior and Princess Andre together. Katie and Peter haven't spoken since their divorce, following the breakdown of their marriage in 2009. And tensions appeared to rise between the two camps when Katie spoke out in her podcast, The Katie Price Show, about her upset over not being involved in her daughter Princess' new ITV series, The Princess Diaries, as the 18 year old's career reaches new heights. It comes after Princess Andre says she's 'independent' from parents as she breaks silence after Katie Price row. Last week, Katie said she was "very very upset" as she claimed she had been left out of her daughter's latest career milestones and claimed she had pleaded to take part in the TV series but was told no. Following the backlash from her comments, in which she faced accusations of jealousy and attention seeking, the former Page 3 star has spoken out once again and insisted she only wants to be there to support her teenage daughter – and even suggested a meeting with Peter to hash out any issues. Katie has now suggested a sit down talk with Peter, in which she said: "I feel like I've missed out on so much and it's so not fair to bring Princess as piggy in the middle so I think it's about time all of us adults just sit down and talk about what their beef is with me and just get over it. Life would be such more at peace." In the latest episode of the podcast, she also shared hopes for the former husband and wife to support their children together. Katie suggested: "There's no reason why both parents can't be there to support her. I have to clarify this; I don't care that I'm not in Princess' show I don't need to raise my profile by being in Princess' show I do enough stuff. I'm in the press every day. "All what I want to do is just whatever my daughter does – and it's the same with Junior – I don't care if I'm in the background, but I wanna watch her photoshoots, I wanna watch her do her signings – because that's what I did and my mum and you [sister Sophie Price] and nan used to come along and support and I'm proud of her and I just wanna be there with her."

ITV star shares traumatic miscarriage experience on This Morning sofa

This Morning star Dr Zoe Williams opened up on suffering a miscarriage live on the ITV show ITV star Dr Zoe Williams has shared her traumatic miscarriage experience on the This Morning sofa. ‌ During Thursday's (August 14) episode of the popular ITV morning programme, hosts Emma Willis and Craig Doyle engaged in a conversation with Olympic swimming champion Rebecca Adlington and her husband, Andy Parsons, about raising awareness for miscarriage. ‌ The couple have tragically experienced two miscarriages in recent years, one in 2022 and another in 2023. ‌ Dr Zoe was also present to provide further information about miscarriages, before revealing that she had previously had two herself, a fact she had never publicly disclosed before. "Zoe, I know you come on here as an expert to help people and you haven't spoken publicly about this before, but it's a trauma you know all too well," Craig said, reports the Mirror. Zoe then said: "Yeah absolutely. When I was talking to the producers about this yesterday, I haven't shared it publicly, but I myself have had two miscarriages as well, both very early on at ten weeks. "One was before I got pregnant with my little boy, who's now four years old, and one was after. The second one, I was sat here on this sofa bleeding, having a miscarriage. "I say that because you will know people that are going through this and people often just get on with it, they go to work. Nobody knows. So, it's just to say, I think we need to talk more, be more open." ‌ She went on: "In some countries, people share their pregnancy news as soon as they find out. The benefit of that is it normalises miscarriage, people are more open about it, they feel less alone, and they know where to go for that support." Zoe added: "I do believe we need to talk more openly about it, so that's why I agreed to share my experience." ‌ Craig then responded: "I'm so sorry, you've never spoken about it before. Oh my goodness, it's just such an awful thing you had to go through." Zoe has been a familiar face on ITV's This Morning since 2016, providing guidance to viewers on a range of medical matters. She recently featured on a special episode of Loose Women, called Loose Doctors, where she discussed health challenges she's faced.
