The supermarket confirmed to The Sun that customers in some stores were "incorrectly" charged, adding that the error has since been corrected.
It said any customers who were overcharged should take their receipt to their nearest Aldi store for a refund.
Aldi's Castleford store in Yorkshire was one of the branches hit by the till glitch.
One of the store's customers posted a picture of their receipt to Facebook, revealing they had been charged a 15p deposit on each of the two 2L bottles of Diet Cola they had purchased.
Another customer at Aldi in Rothwell, Leeds, also posted to Facebook that they had been charged 15p on a 2l bottle of Vive.
Aldi's Hindley Green branch in Manchester also appears to have been impacted, with one customer claiming they were charged a 15p deposit for two bottles of orange juice.
Other customers claimed to have been charged 25p deposits on some drinks purchases.
Aldi shoppers in Ireland are charged deposits of 15p or 25p on plastic bottles or aluminium cans, which can be reclaimed once the empty items are returned to vending machines, as part of the government's Deposit Return Scheme.
However, the Aldi did not confirm if the charging errors at UK tills were related to this.
An Aldi spokesperson told The Sun: 'A minor pricing change was incorrectly applied to a small number of products in some of our stores. The error has now been corrected, and the products are on sale as normal.
Aldi urgently recalls £3.29 freezer essential over dangerous disease that affects 1 in 100 of Brits
'We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and would encourage anyone that believes they were overcharged to take their receipt to their nearest Aldi store for a refund.'
The German discounter is planning to open more than 20 new stores in the UK before the end of the year as part of a £650million expansion.
It recently confirmed the locations of 11 of its new openings, which includes branches in East Sussex, Durham and Chesterfield.
However, it's pulling up the shutters on branches in Deeside, Market Harborough and London over the coming months.
In May, it revealed another list of 10 locations where it wants to open stores this summer, including in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Norfolk.
The budget chain has injected £55million into its capital city stores alone, with four of the new branches being in London.

Marcus Rashford faces Barcelona registration nightmare as boss Hansi Flick hits out

Marcus Rashford joined Barcelona from Manchester United in a season-long loan deal in July but faces a nervous wait to learn if he can make his La Liga debut this weekend Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has expressed his frustration as Barcelona's financial issues have stood in the way of the club registering Marcus Rashford for the new season. Rashford joined on loan from Manchester United in the summer, but Barca are required to comply with La Liga rules on wage budgets before he is able to feature in the competition. ‌ Rashford isn't the only player in the situation, which relates to strict financial rules which all La Liga clubs need to abide by. New goalkeeper Joan Garcia needs to be registered, while the same applies to fellow stopper Wojciech Szczesny after the Polish international signed new terms withh the club. ‌ Barca can cover some of the required budget through captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen's medical leave agreement, which frees up 80 percent of the German's wages for new registrations during his period out injured. They used a similar arrangement last summer to register Dani Olmo after Andreas Christensen was ruled out for a lengthy period, and announced plans to formally register Garcia in the light of Ter Stegen's situation. ‌ Even so, Flick has been left in a less than ideal situation ahead of Saturday's opener against Mallorca. 'For me, the situation, you can imagine I'm not happy about that. But I know the situation and I believe in the club,' the boss told reporters on Friday. 'We have to wait till tomorrow. It was the same situation last season. We will focus on what we can change and what is in our hands. The other things, I believe in the club.' Ter Stegen's decision came after an initial refusal from the Germany international, which saw him briefly stripped of the captaincy but things now appear to be more rosier between player and club. 'I think the most important thing is that everyone speaks together. Marc and the club, they spoke,' Flick added, 'The most important thing for me, for Marc and the club is that he comes back. He's shown for many years here that he's a fantastic goalkeeper and the important thing is that he comes back and is ready to play. We'll all help him, we're all on his side.' Rashford and Garcia have both played in pre-season despite the uncertainty over the league opener. Both started the Joan Gamper Trophy, Barca's final warm-up game ahead of the new season, with Rashford setting up a goal for Raphinha in a 5-0 victory over Como. The England international has been learning Spanish to help converse with his new team-mates, some of whom also speak Catalan, while those with a good command of English have also helped him settle in quickly. 'There are good people who are like a bridge. Frenkie [de Jong] speaks really good English, Jules [Kounde] speaks very good English, but they also have good Spanish because they've been here a few years," Rashford said on The Rest is Football podcast. 'But on the pitch, honestly it's easier than what I thought it would be. Also football overall, I know a lot of people say it, but it's a language in itself and it's easy to communicate through the general vibe on the pitch.'

UK ‘tent city' battered by poverty to get £23.7million revamp in huge boost for area

Locals say the once bustling high street is now riddled with drug and alcohol abusers MAJOR UPLIFT UK 'tent city' battered by poverty to get £23.7million revamp in huge boost for area Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A UK town dubbed 'tent city' with bouncers patrolling the streets is set for a £23.7 million revamp. Once one of the world's richest mining towns, the area has been battered by poverty and drug abuse in recent years. The cash boost is part of the Town Investment Plan, which was awarded £23.7 million in 2021. The final plans for the project, which will boost the town's appearance and accessibility, have now been approved, with work expected to begin in October. In a huge boost for the area, paving repairs will take place in Commercial Square, enhanced lighting and CCTV will be installed as will cycle parking. The amount of free on-street parking will also be extended, a new zebra crossing will be installed and there will be more seating on Trelowarren Street and Commercial Square. Tent city Residents have complained that Cambourne has been neglected in recent years, whilst nearby St Ives thrives. The churchyard of the medieval St Martin and St Meriadoc's Church is now overrun with rough sleepers, dubbed tent city. Once a bustling high street with thriving businesses is now home to a handful of shops where alcohol and drug abusers congregate, claim locals. Tracey Rail, 60, a lifelong resident told The Sun: "I think it's sad what's happened to Camborne, it's pretty rough and desolate now. 'Lots of shops are closed down, all we have is charity shops, estate agents and betting shops. I don't think there's a lot for young people to do. 'I've heard tales of how it's not safe to walk around Camborne in the night time but I've not done it myself for that reason. 'Employment is one of the major problems, we used to have the industry from mining, now it's basically just retail and a lot of the employment opportunities are temporary because they're holiday industries. 'It's definitely got worse in the last couple of years, lots of the shops are empty and there are homeless people sleeping in the doorways. 'It's not comfortable to walk up through Camborne sometimes because of the number of homeless. "The fact they are homeless is shocking and dreadful and terrible. 'I walk through the churchyard to access the town and the amount of tents is quite uncomfortable that people have to live like that. "But the question is where are the services?'
