ALDI has urged shoppers to check their receipts as they may be owed refunds over mystery charges that appeared following a till glitch.
Dozens of baffled shoppers took to social media this week to complain about being charged a "deposit" of up to 25p on bottled drinks.

The supermarket confirmed to The Sun that customers in some stores were "incorrectly" charged, adding that the error has since been corrected.
It said any customers who were overcharged should take their receipt to their nearest Aldi store for a refund.
Aldi's Castleford store in Yorkshire was one of the branches hit by the till glitch.
One of the store's customers posted a picture of their receipt to Facebook, revealing they had been charged a 15p deposit on each of the two 2L bottles of Diet Cola they had purchased.
Another customer at Aldi in Rothwell, Leeds, also posted to Facebook that they had been charged 15p on a 2l bottle of Vive.
Aldi's Hindley Green branch in Manchester also appears to have been impacted, with one customer claiming they were charged a 15p deposit for two bottles of orange juice.
Other customers claimed to have been charged 25p deposits on some drinks purchases.
Aldi shoppers in Ireland are charged deposits of 15p or 25p on plastic bottles or aluminium cans, which can be reclaimed once the empty items are returned to vending machines, as part of the government's Deposit Return Scheme.
However, the Aldi did not confirm if the charging errors at UK tills were related to this.
An Aldi spokesperson told The Sun: 'A minor pricing change was incorrectly applied to a small number of products in some of our stores. The error has now been corrected, and the products are on sale as normal.

'We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and would encourage anyone that believes they were overcharged to take their receipt to their nearest Aldi store for a refund.'
The German discounter is planning to open more than 20 new stores in the UK before the end of the year as part of a £650million expansion.
It recently confirmed the locations of 11 of its new openings, which includes branches in East Sussex, Durham and Chesterfield.
However, it's pulling up the shutters on branches in Deeside, Market Harborough and London over the coming months.
In May, it revealed another list of 10 locations where it wants to open stores this summer, including in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Norfolk.
The budget chain has injected £55million into its capital city stores alone, with four of the new branches being in London.
