After BTS and Taylor Swift, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl group to headline Wembley Stadium, delivering record-breaking shows and thrilling tens of thousands of fans.
BLACKPINK concert: For the first time ever, a K-pop girl group has headlined London's iconic Wembley Stadium. BLACKPINK—Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa—performed to nearly 78,000 fans each night over two sold-out shows, cementing their status as global superstars. This comes after Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, BTS and Oasis made history at the stadium.
'This is an absolute honour to be performing here at Wembley Stadium," said Lisa, taking in the roaring crowd. 'We're absolutely in awe of you guys for showing up and making this possible."
'It's an epic dream," Jennie added. Rosé, visibly overwhelmed, said, 'The last time we were here in London was insane, but this was a whole other level. We're really grateful you stuck around and supported us."
BLACKPINK Make History at Wembley
The two-and-a-half-hour show combined pyros, lasers, and giant video screens, giving fans close-up views of each member. The group performed their biggest hits including Kill This Love, How You Like That, Pink Venom, Shut Down, Whistle, and DDU-DU DDU-DU. They also debuted their new single Jump, which broke YouTube records with 26 million views in just one day.
Fans went wild as the members loosened up, joking and interacting with the audience. Rosé paused mid-song to tie her shoelace while the others laughed, creating moments that quickly went viral online. Despite their solo projects—Lisa with her rock energy, Rosé with ballads, Jennie's bold performances, and Jisoo's strong vocals—their on-stage chemistry remained electric.
BLACKPINK Concert 2025
The Wembley shows concluded the European leg of BLACKPINK's Deadline World Tour, which covers 31 concerts across 16 cities. Next stops include Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong in 2026.
BLACKPINK are the first female K-pop group to sell a million albums and continue to break records for the highest-grossing female group tour, previously surpassing the Spice Girls' Born Pink tour.
BLACKPINK Album Release Date
there's a buzz that Lisa, Jisoo, Rose and Jennie might surprise everyone with a new music album before the year ends. According to a source from the South Korean music industry, the group is reportedly preparing to release a mini album in November.
For the new album, the members have reportedly completed the cover photoshoot and are expected to wrap up recording in the next two months. While fans are excited, nothing has been confirmed yet. Their agency, YG Entertainment, neither confirmed nor denied the claim, but simply stated they will share updates later.

KPop Demon Hunters director Maggie Kang reveals animation secrets behind Netflix hit

Synopsis Canadian director Maggie Kang discusses the creative process behind KPop Demon Hunters, Netflix's internationally popular animated superhero movie. The film follows fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x battling demons through song, combining Korean cultural heritage with breakthrough animation techniques that made it a global streaming sensation Director Maggie Kang discusses the animation techniques behind Netflix hit KPop Demon Hunters, featuring fictional K-pop superhero group Huntr/x in this internationally acclaimed Sony Pictures Animation movie that became Netflix's second most popular English-language film KPop Demon Hunters became Netflix's second most popular English-language film while earning critical acclaim and Billboard chart success. The animated superhero film, co-directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, follows fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x as they use musical powers to protect Earth from demonic threats. Director Maggie Kang employed unconventional methods during production, requiring her animation team to physically perform scenes as reference material. The Canadian filmmaker and her crew acted out sequences ranging from emotional fan reactions to comedic character read: K-Pop Demon Hunters: The animated film taking Netflix by storm with music and demons"As an animator, it's really important to feel the acting that you are going to portray," Kang tells Q guest host Gill Deacon. "Even when you draw, you want to feel the expressions."The animation process occasionally required Kang to demonstrate extreme facial expressions when her team struggled with particular scenes. "Sometimes the acting is not quite as I want it," she says. "So I will sit in the room and do the faces for them and act it out, so that we get what we need." Kang deliberately designed Huntr/x members to display realistic, unpolished behaviors. The fictional K-pop group members consume food messily, burp, and exhibit crude reactions throughout the Netflix animated movie."I've worked on a lot of films where, you know, female characters are not really the silliest ones," Kang explains. "There's, like, a fear to make [female characters] look ugly. And I really wanted to break all that and go for the silly faces."This approach contrasts with traditional animated superhero portrayals that typically avoid depicting female characters in unflattering situations. The Netflix hit incorporates extensive Korean cultural elements, particularly in its opening sequence showcasing generations of Korean musicians battling supernatural forces. Kang's Toronto upbringing combined with childhood summers in Seoul influenced the film's authentic cultural representation. "When I first came up with the idea, it felt like just purely a superhero film about Korean women and K-pop," Kang says. "Once we really grounded the mythology into Korean shamanism, it really opened up this opportunity to feature so many different eras of Korea, really show the history of how Korean music evolved through the ages."Kang, who appreciated Korean music before its mainstream acceptance, attributes part of the animated movie's success to K-pop's worldwide popularity growth. The film's soundtrack became the highest-charting soundtrack of 2025, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while the song "Golden" by Huntr/x hit No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 charts. "I honestly didn't think it was even possible for a movie to be this popular, really. When photographers asked, 'Baby kaisi hai?' Athiya responded with a gentle smile and nod, assuring them that her daughter is doing well. Athiya Shetty was spotted in Mumbai on Sunday, stepping out of a salon, and the Internet can't stop admiring her. Looking fresh and radiant after her grooming session, she had a friendly interaction with the paparazzi. As she made her way towards the car, photographers asked her, 'Baby kaisi hai?" With a gentle smile and a nod, Athiya assured them that her daughter was doing well. Keeping her style minimal yet trendy, the actress was seen in a simple white top paired with blue denim jeans. Athiya Shetty Steps Away From Acting After her appearance in several films, Athiya Shetty has decided to step away from acting. Bollywood veteran and her proud father, Suniel Shetty, earlier opened up about his daughter's conscious decision not to work on films. In a candid interview, the actor revealed how Athiya clearly expressed her choice and shared, 'She said, 'Baba, I don't want to,' and she just left. And that's what I salute her for — saying, 'I'm not interested. I don't want to do films." Suniel recalled that after her last outing in Motichoor Chaknachoor, Athiya received several offers, but she was firm about not pursuing her acting career. In his words, 'After Motichoor Chaknachoor, a lot came her way. But she said, 'I don't want to. I am comfortable, you know?'" Praising her courage and clarity, Suniel expressed immense pride in the role Athiya has embraced a few months back – motherhood. He continued, 'Today, she's got the best role of her life. She's working in the best film, and that is the role of a mother. And she's loving it." A Look Back At Her Career Athiya made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with Hero, a romantic action film directed by Nikhil Advani and produced by Salman Khan. She later appeared in the family entertainer Mubarakan alongside Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Ileana D'Cruz, and her last film was the romantic comedy Motichoor Chaknachoor opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in 2019. On the personal front, Athiya Shetty is married to Indian cricketer KL Rahul and together, they welcomed an adorable baby girl, Evaarah, earlier this year. They announced the super amazing news via a post on social media, and since then, have been sharing pictures with her without revealing her face.
