PM: Madani government is strong due unity among coalitition partners
While each party within the Madani government may hold different beliefs and stances, their unity and cooperation remain exemplary, he said.
"Alhamdulillah, although we are a coalition of parties with different stances and beliefs, the spirit to develop the country makes the cooperation and spirit extraordinary.
"I want to thank Deputy Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Dr) Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (Barisan Nasional Chairman), (Datuk Seri) Fadillah Yusof (Gabungan Parti Sarawak) and all other colleagues for their unwavering spirit of unity," he said.
The prime minister said this at the Kenduri Rakyat programme held in conjunction with the Madani Ukhwah programme and the Madani Government Administration and Parliamentarians' Retreat in Kampung Pachitan here today.
Also present were Anwar's wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and both deputy prime ministers, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
Also present were the cabinet members and MPs from the Madani government, including Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil and Port Dickson MP Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, who is also Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar.
Anwar the Madani government is a caring administration that remains committed to listening to and understanding the voices of the people.
He said that although the country's macroeconomic indicators reflect positive trends, such as increased investment and a declining unemployment rate, the government is fully aware that many challenges persist at the grassroots level.
"In terms of macroeconomics, we are seeing improved performance, stronger investment inflows, and a reduction in the unemployment rate.
"However, I am fully aware that many people at the grassroots level are still facing hardships.
"That is why the Madani government is a government that cares... We have to listen to the people's voices, don't leave the norm, don't ignore the voices of the grassroots," he said.
A total of 143 MPs participated in the Madani government Leadership Ukhuwah Programme held in conjunction with the Madani government Administration and Parliamentarians' Retreat here.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Housing and Local Government Ministry is exploring a 'pay-as-you-use' model for maintenance fees in future affordable housing developments, as part of housing sector reforms. Minister Nga Kor Ming said the initiative is part of efforts to elevate the real estate industry and promote more equitable access to housing for all Malaysians. Speaking to reporters at the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Week (KLAW) 2025 today, Nga said the ministry plans to introduce a system which allows residents to pay maintenance fees based on actual usage of shared facilities. 'Under this proposed model, residents will receive access cards that track their monthly usage of shared facilities. We are starting with the Rumah Bakat Madani initiative led by Skyworld Pearlmont in Penang, which features a pay-per-use clubhouse with an infinity pool, pickleball and badminton courts, a children's playground, and gyms,' he said. Nga added that the concept will serve as a reference for future public housing projects. 'This will serve as a reference model for future public housing projects, which may also include vertical schools to provide better access to education for vulnerable communities,' he said. In addition, the ministry plans to engage private sector players to develop Industrialised Building System (IBS) facilities, aiming to expand the use of modular construction methods such as Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC). Nga said this initiative aligns with Malaysia MADANI aspirations and the nation's role as President of the UN-Habitat General Assembly, supporting sustainable urban development by reducing construction waste and minimising pollution. Commenting on KLAW 2025, Nga highlighted the importance of architecture in rejuvenating heritage buildings. 'Architectural elements play a vital role in breathing new life into heritage buildings, preserving their cultural significance while integrating modern design,' he said. KLAW 2025 is held as a prelude to the ASEAN Real Estate Conference (AREC) and ARCHIDEX. The series of large-scale events, being held this week at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), is expected to attract over 50,000 foreign visitors, generating an estimated RM2 billion in transactions. – Bernama

Kampung Tok Kepak chosen for Madani Adopted Village Programme 2025
ALOR SETAR: The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has included Kampung Tok Kepak in Kodiang as part of the 2025 MADANI Adopted Village Programme (KAM). This initiative supports the government's goal of reducing development disparities between rural and urban areas under the MADANI framework. A total of 15 high-impact projects are being implemented in the village. These include five under KPKT's KAM 2025, four under the BP1 Assistance Programme, two from the Urban Community Development Programme (PPKB), two by the National Landscape Department (JLN), one by the Kedah ICU, and one by the Ministry of Education (MOE). 'These projects focus on both physical and social development, aiming to enhance the quality of life for Kampung Tok Kepak residents, especially in terms of public facilities, economic opportunities, and community empowerment,' the ministry stated. One completed project is the reconstruction of the village community hall, a joint effort by the Department of Local Government (JKT) and the Kubang Pasu Municipal Council (MPKP). The upgraded facility, now called the Kampung Tok Kepak Community Hall, was officially opened on July 19 by KPKT secretary-general Datuk Wira M Noor Azman Taib. He expressed hope that the hall would become a central hub for community activities and be well-maintained by residents. Other ongoing projects include road resurfacing, preschool and mosque upgrades, school improvements, LED streetlight installations, landscaping, and housing repairs for eligible families. The total investment exceeds RM3 million.
