Award comes after four consecutive years of double-digit growth
LONDON, July 9, 2025 /CNW/ -- Moore Global, the global accounting, audit, and advisory network, was named Network of the Year at the International Accounting Forum and Awards 2025 (IAFA 25) in a unanimous decision by the judges.
Vivienne Muir, Moore Global chief operating officer, was presented the prestigious award on June 28 at the IAFA 25 ceremony in London.
Vivienne said: "This award is recognition of the quality, dedication, and collaboration that defines our global network. It reflects the outstanding work of our member firms and our people around the world. A heartfelt thank you—and congratulations—to everyone across Moore who made this possible."
The judges reached their unanimous decision after considering a broad range of milestones and accolades achieved last year by the Moore Global network.
In 2024 Moore Global recorded 13 per cent growth, making it the only top 20 network to have a fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth. At the same time 83 per cent of member firms grew in 2024, with 44 per cent of the network recording growth above 10 per cent.
Anton Colella, Moore Global Chief Executive Officer, said: "We have always known we are building something very special here at Moore. To have that confirmed by no less an organisation than IAFA is gratifying indeed. This recognition belongs to every single one of our 37,000 employees. Congratulations to all."
Zoya Malik, editor in chief of International Accounting Bulletin, said: "Moore Global's IAFA 2025 award for Network of the Year was very well deserved, as considered unanimously by the Judges. WESTSHORE TERMINALS ANNOUNCES OUTAGE AT BERTH 1 AND UPDATES 2025 THROUGHPUT GUIDANCE

VANCOUVER, BC, Aug. 17, 2025 /CNW/ - Westshore Terminals Investment Corporation (TSX: WTE) (the "Corporation" or "Westshore") announces that on August 16, 2025 there was a fire on the shiploader which services Berth 1. The fire crews extinguished the fire safely, and there were no injuries involved. At this time, based on our preliminary limited inspection and assuming there is no significant structural damage, we estimate Berth 1 to be out of commission for approximately ten weeks to perform the necessary repairs to the mechanical and electrical systems. Westshore will provide an update on the duration of the outage once a detailed inspection has been performed and the time to source replacement parts/materials for the necessary repairs is confirmed. Operations at Berth 2 will continue in the ordinary course throughout this repair work and Westshore will work with its customers and the railways to reduce the impact as much as possible. As a result of the Berth 1 outage, and based on information currently available, Westshore anticipates throughput volumes for 2025 to be approximately 24.0-24.5 million tonnes, a reduction from the previously disclosed estimate of approximately 26.0 million tonnes. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available. The foregoing statements concerning the anticipated timing and extent of repairs required at Berth 1, and anticipated 2025 throughput volumes are forward-looking statements that reflect the current expectations of the Corporation with respect to future events and performance. Forward-looking statements should not be read as guarantees of future performance or results and will not necessarily be accurate indications of whether such performance or results will be achieved. Forward-looking statements are based on information available at the time they are made, assumptions made by management, and management's good faith belief with respect to future events and will be impacted by and are subject to risks and uncertainties, including those referenced above, risks inherent in a project of the scale of the Berth 1 repairs, as well as those outlined in the Corporation's Annual Information Form that could cause actual performance or results to differ materially from those reflected in the forward-looking statements, historical results or current expectations.

CCTV+: China Up Close: Zhejiang Tour Explores Pinghu

BEIJING, Aug. 17, 2025 /CNW/ -- The third leg of the CGTN "China Up Close Series: Zhejiang Tour" recently arrived in Pinghu to see how this city is balancing economic growth with a modern creative edge. The China Up Close Series, launched in 2024 by China Global Television Network (CGTN), continues to showcase innovative-driven transformation in China. Since its debut in 2024, the program has chronicled development stories across multiple provinces including Fujian and Shanxi. The media delegation included nearly 70 journalists and editors from 11 countries and regions — among them Kazakhstan, Spain, Malaysia and Bulgaria. Alongside CGTN, they trained their cameras and notebooks on the region, aiming to capture Pinghu's distinctive appeal from multiple perspectives: technology-supported agriculture, rural revitalization, and industrial advances born from global collaboration. Their itinerary included the "Wildwoods & Creek" rural tourism project in Xincang Township, AIoT Agri-Tech Innovation Park run by Zhejiang Houji Intelligent Technology, the Rowing Town project, and aerospace manufacturer Hwahoo's facilities — each reflecting different aspects of Pinghu's development strategy. Through these stops, the group saw firsthand how Pinghu blends rural heritage with technological progress.
